We had a great time with family here. Though this visit was an exemption. The staff were very accommodating and quickly resolved some issues. Their soda machine was dispensing flat drinks. Not sure if the machine was broken but there's no carbonation in any of the drinks. Too sweet and too much syrup. Management took that off our check and they were very generous and made sure we were happy with our visit. We will definitely come back again. Best Mongolian grill we've been to so far in the local area.

It's more than food but a experience. Wasn't quite sure about the place but my son talked me into it. No regrets. You create your own noodle dish. Lots to choose from then they cook it up for you. Great friendly service and ambiance was pretty laid back. Great place for a first date. Will definitely come back.

I was quite pleased with my visit to the Wacky Mongolian Grill! It's a bit of a drive from my home, but well worth it. The selection of meats, spices, and sauces is better than most of the Mongolian stir-fry restaurants I've visited. The service was good, and the waitress was friendly and attentive to our drinks.

Place is located in a strip center out front the Walmart. Plenty of parking. Walked in and greeted promptly, not slam busy but it was 12:45pm so I was expecting it to be busy. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. They gave us the card to fill out and we filled out our cards and headed to the line to pick our ingredients. You put table# , name and which noodle or rice you want. They have beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, miniature scallops and fish. They have every vegetable you would want. Also mushrooms and jalapeños and all the seasonings and hot sauces. You put all your choices into small bowl, if you are good at playing Jenga you can stack a lot of stuff into the small metal bowl. I got the Udon noodles but you can pic 2-3 different sides including rice. You hand your bowl and card to the the cook and they cook it on the Mongolian grill top..and bring to your table within 5 mins.. We were a group of 4, price was approx $13.95 but includes drink, a starter cucumber salad and ice cream afterwards. Well worth the price. Of course everything was hot and fresh since cooked to order and the ingredients all looked fresh. Must try this place, staff was friendly and the waitstaff checked on us often and our drinks kept full...

Ask the Community - Wacky Mongolian Grill

I read they closed months ago. Is it true?

It's still open as far as I'm concerned.

Are the gluten free w options and do they use MSG in their food?

The restaurant called me to say they never closed. That upsets me because I recall reading they did close about a year ago. If you have not been there you should give them a try. No more responses needed.

I highly recommend the spicy flavor. Everything is fresh, tasty, and well-seasoned. The restaurant has a lively and casual atmosphere that makes it a great spot for family dinners. It's always packed, but we never have to wait too long to get seated. The service is great, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We were seated at immediately, but after sitting for a few minutes with no greeting, I realized something wasn't right. I had to walk back to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn't been assigned a server. Turns out, we were seated in a section that didn't even have a server until 5:00 PM. That's not a small oversight--that's a breakdown in communication at the front. Now, to their credit, once our server stepped in, things started to turn around. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered my usual Long Island, and I loved that it was served in a branded mason jar--cute touch, definitely added to the vibe. (Still wondering if I was supposed to keep it or not ) We started with appetizers: The crawfish pistolet was the standout. Flavorful, rich, and honestly the best thing we had. My only complaint is they needed a little more bread to balance all that filling. The fried green tomatoes were cooked well and the portion was generous (almost two whole tomatoes), but they were under-seasoned. I had to add salt and rely on the sauce to bring them to life. Now let's talk about the menu--it's huge. We're talking seafood, burgers, fried chicken, boils, ceviche... everything but the kitchen sink. And while options are nice, it does make you question how fresh everything really is when a restaurant is trying to do that much. Overall, this place felt like it was trying to recover from a rough start--and partially succeeded. There are definitely some highlights (that pistolet!), but also some inconsistency that keeps it from being a full win. Final verdict: 3.5-4 stars. Come for the seafood favorites, but they've got some tightening up to do on service flow and seasoning.

They also bring out tastings of their non-alcoholic Crafted Refreshers: Signature Horchata, Piña Colada, Horchata Cappuccino, and Horchata Coconut. All were light, flavorful, and delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the mojito -- the one I was most excited to try. We shared the 3 Shrimp Ceviche and the Grilled Beet Ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was wonderful -- bright and refreshing. We added a bit more lime for extra tang, though some may prefer it less tart. One small suggestion would be to cut the pieces slightly smaller so they stay on the chips more easily. The Grilled Beet Ceviche was unexpectedly dessert-like -- sweet, refreshing, and the perfect follow-up to the shrimp. Service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions, while keeping drinks and chips refilled promptly. For a new restaurant, this place truly impressed. My only suggestions would be to provide a bit more chips with the salsa and to cut the ceviche pieces slightly smaller for easier eating. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit.

This is apparently their fifth restaurant judging by the name, so they must be doing something right. Since they recently opened, they aren't very busy right now so I was seated immediately and had a very attentive server. The complementary chips and salsa was good: they served a red and a green. The green salsa was the puréed pepper style (not avocado based) and had some heat to it and very good taste. I really liked the red salsa - there's a flavor in there that I can't place but I really enjoyed. They have daily specials, but I went ahead and ordered off the menu: I got an enchilada plate with rice and beans. I got the "Enchiladas al Carbón" which were covered in queso, and had sliced steak inside (if you have ever had "tacos al carbón," then you already know what I'm talking about). The meat was well-seasoned, and I liked the queso, even if it was a little runny. The refried beans were good, but didn't stand out - the same could be said about their rice. The price was fairly reasonable: that meal with a drink was $17, which I would say is the going rate for something like that in these parts. I will definitely be back to try a little bit more of their menu, and I would recommend that you all try it out!
