Ok so I definitely felt I was going to walk out of this restaurant and throw up in the parking lot. I opted today for beef and veggies... no rice no pasta. I started eating my bowl and while eating it, something hard was in my mouth. I took it out and looked at it. It was A NAIL. A FINGERNAIL IN MY BOWL. I'm literally DISGUSTED!! This is one of my top restaurants when it comes to being in a "FOOD MOOD". When you get seated, the staff brings you a silver bowl for you to customize your own meal and send it to the hibachi station where they immediately cook it up and bring it to your table. My boyfriend and I love stacking our bowls to the top with squid, crab, shrimp, sausage and just about a million other things. (Sometimes they give us the stink eye but it's okay lol;) We never finish an entire bowl so we always have an extra meal for later. And the best part? It's only ROUGHLY $11 per person. Our total bill for two people is about $24 when we go, including tax. Keep in mind, this gives us 4 meals!! I'll take $6/meal any day read more

Used to enjoyed coming here but in the past year I've had some issues because they cook the food close to each other and probably the same cookware for each bowl - this is not good for people with allergies or picky eaters. I really don't like the taste of seafood and every bowl I got recently has a super strong fishy taste in it and this most recent trip I had egg shells in it. Also put about 6 peanuts in my bowl and I had none of them when I got the food. I think that's a testament to how close the foods are cooked together. The bowls are also smaller even at lunch and my bowl always has less than the other people I order with! The waiters are extremely nice but other than that, not worth it for me anymore. read more

It's the little things....crunchy fried rice noodles & peanuts to nibble on...the cucumber&carrot mini salad as a free app...the eggs...the dry seasonings plus liquid sauces plus those little tasting spoons that you dispose of at the end of the line. And not to forget the great service, despite any language barrier. My drink was always refilled promptly. They have the best meat selection I've ever seen! So, I came in on 11/3/21 and my experience was ridiculous. The waitress was rude, didn't seem like she wanted me to even be in the establishment for some weird reason. I decided to stay because I hadn't ate and was hungry. When I sat down she handed me the card and walked off. Didn't ask if I had any questions, just placed the card on the table and walked off. Ok, fine. I go to fix my bowl. When I came back to the table I noticed that she had given all the other tables salad. I waited and waited and she never asked if I wanted the complimentary salad. I waved her back to the table because she never came back and checked on me and asked about the salad. When I asked she seem annoyed but went and retrieved it and just sat it on my table and walked away. I was completely floored and taken aback by the entire experience. I used to come all the time tears back, before we moved and never experienced this type of service. Needless to say, I won't be coming back! read more

Disgusting place. Me and my husband came here and ended up leaving because the hostess started coughing and throwing up in the bathroom with the door wide open. We got our drinks which were both Sprite and it tasted as if the soda machine hadn't been cleaned in forever. A dirty, flat, funky taste. We go to fix our bowl and it just looks so nasty. And not to mention the shrimp was a hot pink color. I was turned off completely and me and my husband decided to leave asap. This place is the best kept secret in Spring. The food is absolutely delicious and they use only the ingredients, seasonings and spices you select. It's fast, and as an added bonus, it's really 2 portions, so you always get to take home an extra meal. I've been coming here for the last 5 years at least once a week. I took the family here on Friday for the first time and we had a great experience. The wait staff was quick to seat us and get us our drinks. The cucumber and carrot nibblers were delicious. The service was really good and the establishment was really clean which is a make or break for me. Onto the food. The selection was very good, I don't eat carbs so I can't comment on the noodles but I did have the chicken, beef and steak along with the other toppings and it was really delicious. I really enjoyed the shiitake mushrooms cooked up, not too many places offer them, next time I will definitely get more of them in my bowl. I opted for the spicy chili sauce and garlic sauce with some black pepper and dragon spice. The whole dish turned out wonderful. My wife and son both enjoyed their dishes as well. We will definitely be back and I recommend this location to anyone who wants good food, their own personal selection and good service. read more

Good thing I went here with someone who'd been here before, otherwise I would have been clueless! After I saw the "procedure," I totally got it and realized that the possibilities here are absolutely endless! The premise is actually pretty simple. When you come in, you're given a dry-erase card and a metal bowl. Huh? Here's the deal: 1. Choose your base: multiple options of rice or multiple options of noodles. Choose one and mark it on the card. 2. Take your card and your bowl to the "buffet" line. Here you'll see that there's an array of ingredients -- all raw that you want cooked to add to your base: chicken, beef, scallops, shrimp, mussels, tofu, veggies. Load up your bowl! 3. Keep walking down the line. You'll come to the spices section. Sprinkle whatever spices you want on top of the meat and veggies you've loaded in your bowl. 4. Sauces come next: grab two little bowls and pick out what sauces you fancy. Fill up those bowls if you want it extra saucy or extra spicy! 5. Hand over your brimming bowl and your card (which contains your rice or noodle base selection, your name and table number) to the chefs. 6. Go back to your table and wait about five or so minutes. 7. Yowzers! Your custom concoction comes delivered to you cooked and ready to eat. YUM! Taste was great and you know it's fresh and has exactly what YOU wanted in it. Me? I loaded up on the shrimp (and the chili sauce)! Marvelous! All afternoon, I kept thinking about . . . well, I could mix THIS with THIS or I could mix THIS with THIS, or I could just go straight veggie and tofu or I could just do nothing but seafood or I could do a seafood combo or I could . . . Needless to say, I didn't get a whole lot done this afternoon at work. My imagination took over. Or should I say, my stomach took over my mind? Or my mind took over my stomach? The process is simple, a server seats you to your table where it is clearly marked with a table number and then hands you a card in which you fill out with your name, type of starch (noodles, rice, or both), and your table number. They then give you a small metal bowl and off to the buffet line you go. Whether you fill it to the masses with meat or are on an all veggie diet, price remains the same. Chicken, japanese chicken, beef, Pollock, pork, even scallops and mussels are available. Then you get to your veggies like tofu, spinach, bok choy, mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, and so much more. They then allow you to choose from an assortment of sauces to be cooked with your meal and even give you small spoons to test them out. The food is then cooked on this huge circular flat-top where you can watch them dance around and flip the food. It looks amazing and then the food is brought to your table. I found mine to be tasty but it really depends on whether or not you know how to combine ingredients. As long as the food is cooked through, they're safe. Portions are large enough to take leftovers home and ice cream is offered at the end of the meal. Pretty delicious, try the chili garlic sauce! I love this place. You can make your own bowl bomb of ingredients and have a dude cook it for you. The ingredients always seem fresh and interesting. Spices and sauces galore. Careful kids. Some of those things will light you up. You need to have a good plan as you start down the line. Must practice good bowl management. There are more things there than you can fit in your bowl. The lady in front of me was experiencing some serious over topping but the dude cooked her grub anyways and made it work. Thought that was nice of him. I asked for a to-go box but I was denied a box, was told they don't allow to-go boxes after getting a 2nd bowl. They do have regular menu order items, check the website or ask for a menu. However just about everyone goes for the "build your own bowl". I was a little hesitant at first, especially with meat if it's not kept at proper temperatures you can get sick real quick. However, to my pleasant surprise everything on the buffet looked very fresh, the meats were well chilled, and the whole place was extremely clean. If you aren't a good cook, then assembling the ingredients and having someone else cook them for you isn't going to make a miracle happen. That being said, be aware of how much (or little) seasoning you are putting in your bowl. Likewise make sure your sauce complements the dish you are trying to create. All in all, I liked the place. It was nice to be able to pick the ingredients I really liked, and leave out the ones I usually don't care for. Likewise with all the various seasonings and sauces it does make it a little different than your average Chinese takeout. There are a lot of sauces to choose from and my first time I kind of just had to choose one because I didn't want to hold up the line. I'm glad I've been to other Mongolian restaurants, because she didn't explain anything to me. I can see how new customers would be confused. They also don't have any recipes that you could follow like other Mongolian places have, which can be overwhelming to a newbie. I was the first to arrive when they opened at 11 and the meat was piled way over the metal bins, so it definitely wasn't at the proper temperature. If I get food poisoning I'm going to be so angry. They had a limited selection of spices and sauces in comparison to other Mongolian restaurants. They also didn't have any potatoes which are my favorite. I ended up just quickly picking something since there were people behind me. While there was a lot of food it was nasty! The beef was super chewy. The chicken was super fatty. The egg was in one big blob on top. The rice was so overlooked it was mushy. They poured all of the sauce on the rice instead of the meat, so the meat was dry and the rice was wet. GROSS!
