    Vegan ramen - delicious!
    Nicole H.

The vegan ramen was really yummy. The broth was creamy and hearty. The noodles were al dente, not overly cooked. The veggies were scrumptious. The inside is small and cute. There are tables outside by the front door. The area it's in is definitely sketchy, so I'd feel more comfortable being there with at least one man present, sorry to say. Others may not feel this way, so please take it with a grain of salt coming from a person who is more cautious than most. My friends liked their food, too. It's cute how you're supposed to mix the noodles and then add the little tiny dish of rice to soak up the flavors at the end. Everything had that umami deliciousness to it. We got the little tiny bowls of ice cream after. Cute place to eat and catch up with friends. Service was fine.

Very delicious mazemen small restaurant with easy parking. 8ish tables and bar seating. It was very busy on Saturday afternoon. Service was wonderful and the servers were very knowledgeable and helpful. Got the popular karaage and it was so delicious. Small app with 5 pieces and a spicy mayo and their house made sweet chili sauce. Saitama and Kyoto were amazing and so flavorful. I think the saitama had more flavor to it than the Kyoto but both were so yummy. Great spot to go for lunch

I have been looking for Ramen places that serve vegan options, and so happy to stumble upon this one. The broth is very flavorful and happy to see vegan appetizers on the menu too. I also loved the fries that had sea weed seasoning. The service was friendly and warm and no hiccups getting seated quickly. Definitely worth visiting. My non vegan friends enjoyed their meal too.

For our party size, gratuity was automatically added but 19.39% is very steep.

We have a party of 9 people from my company and we are always pressed for time so we called ahead and placed our orders ahead of time so that food came out right away. Service did not disappoint. It was fantastic. The food is spectacular. I had the Saitama (ground chicken) and it was so darn good. They give you a nice bit of rice, which is actually the perfect amount, to finish up the sauce at the bottom of your bowl. Their vinegar is infused with umami or something. It was good to mix the Mazeman with. I recommend this place. My only complaint is that auto-gratuity was 19.39%. That's honestly on the ridiculous side of things. We realized that they include sales tax into their gratuity. Sales tax is the responsibility of the business, not the customer. Please re-adjust your setup so that gratuity does not factor in sales tax. We'd love to come back and be a regular, but that gratuity setup is not a bright spot.

    Deluxe Mazemen and Tokyo Mazemen

The service here was fast and efficient, and one of the first things I noticed was how spacious the restaurant is. There are plenty of seating areas, so it never felt too crowded or cramped. I ordered the Tokyo Mazemen and the Deluxe Mazemen, and both were delicious. My favorite part was the texture of the noodles, they had the perfect chew and held onto the sauce really well. The flavors were rich and balanced, and everything paired perfectly with the tender pork and toppings. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I would definitely come back the next time I'm craving mazemen.

Definitely prefer this over menya hanabi. The nooodles here have a better texture imo Also the agedashi takoyaki was interesting. Definitely worth to try!

Mazemen deluxe is the best here. Dont think, just go today and order the deluxe mazemen. The noodle is bouncy and delicious, it is quite addictive to eat the noodle. Once you start, its hard to stop. They have a picture showing you the steps on how to eat mazemen. You mix the ingredients with the noodle and poached egg, enjoy the greatness once. Then they give you small bowl of rice to add in bowl to mix with the remaining sauce. Enjoy the greatness a second time.

This place is great! IMO it's a unique mazemen experience with friendly staff and casual ambience. The restaurant itself isn't very large and has limited seating, but we didn't have to wait when we showed up for lunch on a Saturday. Food is served pretty quickly and I was genuinely surprised at the flavor. We ordered the deluxe mazemen, chicken karaage, and nankotsu (cartilage). It's a pretty good serving size for the mazemen and it was delicious! Lots of flavors mixed in together and all complement each other. The mazemen had just the right sauce consistency to keep it moist and not dry. I actually couldn't even finish my bowl and had to take the rest to go. The karaage is a nice appetizer to start the meal, but I'd probably skip the nankotsu. The appetizers weren't very large in portion size and would be more fitting for a party of two rather than four for one order. Would return again here for sure when getting the mazemen urges.

Super good! I thought this place closed but they just changed their name from Mogu Mogu to Wadaya. I liked Mogu Mogu better, easier to remember the name. Came here during week day lunch time and was immediately seated. Got my usual deluxe ($20) with a side of edamame ($5). Service was quick. Staff refilled our water. Food is amazing! Will definitely be back!

After class at Orange Coast College, I decided to stop by Ramen for a quick dinner. I wasn't sure what to order, but Taichi recommended the Mazemen Deluxe--and I'm so glad I tried it! It was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and definitely something I would order again. The service was excellent too--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. And I happened to stop by on Thursday, which was an extra bonus because they had 50% off Asahi beer! What a great way to end the day after class. Definitely a satisfying little food stop. I'll be back for that Mazemen Deluxe!

Never had Mazemen before which is basically broth-less ramen with various of toppings. We were on the way to Kitakata, but after finding this place on Yelp, we had to check out the hype. The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!

    Happy hour

Service was great, and we came in 30 minutes before closing. The staff were accommodating and told us to take our time, and even explained the menu and different options. We ordered the karagge chicken, the spicy wontons, and a variety of noodle dishes. Everything was flavorful and there are standard ramen dishes, as well as mazemen (dry) dishes. This was our first time here, and would love to return.

Spicy Miso Ramen & Deluxe Mazemen

We recently stopped by Wadaya and had such a great experience. I ordered the deluxe mazemen and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles had a great texture and the flavors were really well balanced. Everything mixed together beautifully and made for a very satisfying bowl. My husband ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it as well. The broth was rich, comforting, and had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. It had a nice depth of flavor that kept you wanting another bite. The service was wonderful too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has a really comfortable atmosphere that makes it a great place to enjoy a warm bowl of ramen. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would happily come back the next time we're in the area.

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

I got the Mackerel combo set and it was a pretty good portion size. The mackerel was nice and crispy and not overcooked at all. The server doesn't apologize - he states it's already been picked up. How? I ask if they don't verify the DoorDash confirmation for pickup. The server Kendrick tells me they do, but scammers show up with the exact order confirmation screen and pick up orders. Honestly sounds like BS to me, considering they have pickup orders by the front door on a shelf that anyone could take. Either way, the lack of an immediate apology or questions to clarify just point to the fact that he assumed immediately I was a scammer. Okay, annoying. But whatever. I want my food. I ask to have it remade - they're still seating people and people are ordering. They're not closing anytime soon. He tells me they won't remake it. I ask why and he continues to insinuate I'm a scammer and a thief trying to pick up someone else's order. He tells me to cancel my order. I'm beyond pissed at this point because I can't even get a refund via DoorDash because it's already being prepared. So I go back and talk to him again. He continues to refuse to cancel the order or remake it. He gets on the phone with a "Peter" who he claims is the manager. It gets really fun from here. Peter listens to my story and says there's nothing they can do. He says scammers do that all the time, and every restaurant deals with it. Okay, so how has it never happened to me at ANY restaurant? And how have I NEVER heard of it happening? So Peter, after refusing to do anything for me for a while, finally says he'll talk to the server to try and cancel the order from their end. Fine. I hand the phone back to Kendrick and he walks inside. I wait 7 min and no updates. So I go inside and ask him if he's canceling the order. He says, "what do you mean?" I tell him the manager said he'd tell him to cancel the order. Kendrick says, "he was telling you to do that". More gaslighting lmfaoooooo. I tell him no, he told you to. Again, I'm pissed beyond belief at this point and again, I can't get a refund via DoorDash because it's already "being prepared". You would think saying that 3 times is enough for them to finally get it but no. I wasted 20 min driving here, and another 25 waiting for a resolution for this BS. Kendrick tells me he can't cancel the order twice. I just ignore him and wait. 3 min later he goes "I canceled it". Like... you guys are acting like I'm the scammer when you clearly are the ones trying to pull some shady stuff. I FINALLY get my refund and Kendrick says, "sorry I just work here." Brother, that's not your line. You say that when, for example, corporate has a policy that no one likes. This all stemmed from you and your team's incompetence. The lying and gaslighting is absolutely crazy. 25 min and they either could've just refunded me or remade my order. A waste of time. I'll never visit any Slurpin again - this was just pathetic. Not a single bit of sincerity or willingness to help. The manager sounded like he was tired of talking to me, and our conversation lasted 2 min (I'm not even exaggerating). If you want food, don't go here. If you want to keep your money, don't come here. However, if you want to be treated like a liar and a scammer from the second you walk in, then this place is perfect.
