We decided to try this place near South Coast plaza because we wanted ramen. It was really good. I had the original flavor with pork belly, cabbage, and an egg. The flavor was rich and the noodles were well cooked. The one thing I didn't like was the pork belly. Instead of slices of pork belly it was just one big nugget. How are you supposed to eat this?!? Also, it had some kind of sweet bbq sauce on it that clashed with the flavor of the broth. I'm never ordering the pork belly again. My wife had the Red King broth, which she liked because she doesn't like the pork flavor, so that's a good option if you like ramen but don't want the rich pork flavored broth.

Great ramen spot that I just learned about courtesy of my siblings. We did a Father's Day get together here which was perfect as they have a nice big patio. First off I want to say their staff/service was fantastic for our party of 14. So they deserve a solid 5 stars. Food wise, the ordering is really easy just mark up the menu and check off the way you want your ramen prepared. Since it was my first time here and I like spicy I opted for one of their popular ones the Red King. I upped the spice level a notch went with the chashu, added an egg and stuck with the chef recommendations. Overall I loved it, the broth was definitely a little thicker than I am use to. It was hearty and filling, I even got extra noodles. I will definitely come back to try the Green King since I love basil and really want to try their thick noodles.

Located next to Sonoma Williams. Each bowl is customizable and they have four main ramens (Regular tonkatsu, spicy, squid ink, and veggie). Went with the squid ink and the spicy. I will say the noodles itself is very good. Tastes very fresh and you can just taste the tenderness as it melts in your mouth when you chew it. It is not too chewy or does not break apart too easily. We also tried the chashu in one bowl and the pork belly on one bowl. For about $20 a bowl I will say I was a little disappointed that it only came with one small piece of pork belly, which was a little too rough and chewy. The other bowl came with two very thin slices of chashu. However the chashu was really good! I would say one of the best chashu I have ever tasted. So tender and very flavorful. The broth itself was a miss for me. The red king spicy tonkotsu was salty, and the taste was just heat with little flavor. With the squid ink (Black King), I just felt like the flavor was missing. It didn't have any unique taste to it. I think I would go regular tonkotsu next time. The chicken karaage had a nice glaze to it and was very crispy! Tastes kind of like a honey sesame. Overall, very good noodles and chashu. Portion on the smaller side with little broth flavor (For red king and squid ink).

Located right up against the parking structure in the smaller building to the west of south coast plaza. Indoor and outdoor full service dining. Idk if it'll be the norm, but it was for us when we showed up in June 2026 - there's a line queue out front where you wait and they have you order while you're waiting. Then, when a table is ready, they sit you down and serve you. Fast and friendly service! We were sat down to a table with a bunch of different sauces and spices. One of my pics shows the set up. Idk what anything was, as it was unlabeled, so probably worth asking. We tried two of their ramen bowls, gyoza, edamame, chicken karaage, and an extra serving of noodles. Everything was amazing! Plenty of food for two adults and two small kids to share. We paid at the register, which I'm also not sure is regular, but that's how it went. Just under $70 including tax and tip. Pretty good value given how expensive life is today!

This place is okay.... I love the concept but I think there could be things done that can make this place better. I like the whole choose your own bowl with your own customization, like Ichiran ramen in Japan, that was pretty cool. The ramen was overall pretty good, but having egg as an add on was pretty ridiculous. I feel like every other ramen place I've been to always included at least half an egg with the ramen. Also, I feel like they needed bamboo also as an add on. The broth was really flavorful, the noodles were pretty nice and fresh. The portion size however, was pretty small (seems consistent with other restaurants in the south OC areas). If you're a big back dude, you def need 2 bowls. We also ordered the chicken karrage and I have to say, it did not hit. It comes DRENCHED with sesame oil to the point you can't even taste the chicken. The staff were really nice and very attentive. They came by a few times to check up on us. Overall, this place was okay. I'll come back if I happen to be hungry walking around the SC plaza, but definitely would not wait more than 10 min to eat here.

I've always wanted to try this place ever since I saw their LA location at Century City Mall, but never got the chance until recently and I gotta say, it was totally worth the wait. The ambiance was really nice. Small and cozy, but surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a group or just dining solo. We got lucky and came when it wasn't super busy, so we were seated pretty quickly. The service was amazing too. Everyone was super polite, and since it was our first time, they took the time to walk us through the menu before we sat down. I honestly loved the whole customization concept because sometimes at ramen spots you forget exactly how you like your ramen, but here it made everything so easy. Now onto the food... the ramen was SO good. I loved the thin noodles, and getting them firm made them perfect and easy to eat. The broth had so much flavor without being overpowering.. just the right balance and richness. Everything we ordered, from the ramen to the karaage, was delicious. The portions were super filling too, definitely satisfying. Overall, such a great first experience. Thank you Ramen Nagi for the yummy food and great service. I already know I'll be back again soon

SO BUSSIN! I've heard great things about this spot and been dying to try it! The line which I assume is usually long was fairly short for a weekend lunch! We were served very quickly and service was very friendly. The ramen is so delicious and tasted like something very different to anything I've ever had. I'd recommend getting everything chefs recommendation with light oil and light sodium. Make sure to add the beansprouts that are on the table as they add a new flavor to the ramen! The pork is some of the best I've had in a ramen, it melts in your mouth and doesnt get tiring to chew and eat. The broth has just the right spice and flavor to it and the noodles are the perfect texture and chewiness.

Overall good ramen. The green king is kinda unique with the basil and parmesan. The pork belly is super delicious. Parking is super close to the restaurant even though it's at South Coast Plaza.

The spot is located inside the mall with a clean, modern Japanese-style interior. Staff were generally friendly, and it's designed as a fast-paced, in-and-out kind of place. I tried the ramen and thought the broth was mediocre at best--it didn't really stand out. It felt more like a trendy spot, the wait itself wasn't bad (about 5-10 minutes) on a Friday around 6-ish. Honestly, parking was more of a hassle than the actual dining experience. Overall, I'm not against the place, but the food was small in portion and didn't feel like quality authentic Japanese ramen to me.

    Genki Curry Ramen King

Ramen Nagi really does limited specials right. I went in for their one-week Genki Curry Ramen, and honestly I'm not even a big curry person, but this completely won me over. The broth was rich, savory, and layered with spice, but not in a way that overwhelmed everything else. You still got depth, balance, and that signature Ramen Nagi consistency. What made it stand out were all the textures and flavors working together. The curry ground pork ball was insanely flavorful, the sautéed bell peppers added a subtle sweetness, and the grilled, slightly blackened onions brought this smoky, almost crunchy element that tied everything together. That little drizzle of yogurt on top was unexpected, but it cut through the richness perfectly. Add in the pork chashu and green onion, and every bite felt intentional. Also, I really respect that they don't do to-go orders. It says a lot about how much they care about preserving the quality of the experience, and it shows. Every bowl feels like it's made to be enjoyed exactly how it's meant to be. On top of that, the staff is always kind, helpful, and on it. You can tell they take pride in what they're serving. Ramen Nagi continues to be one of the most consistent ramen spots out there, and this limited run just proved they can get creative without missing.

Came on a normal, not rainy day and it was pretty empty. We were seated immediately even though we were waiting on one more person to arrive. Service was impeccable. RED KING: 5/5. I kept drinking the broth after my partner had finished the noodles and toppings. SO rich and savory. CHICKEN KARAAGE: 5/5. I might just come for this, honestly. Smoky fry, sweet sauce, savory dip. Not sure what else I need in life.

    Black King and Original King
    Tiffany L.

Excellent ramen with a lot of customizable options. I got the Black King because I love squid ink, and I asked for it to be light on the salt and richness, and this was just perfect. I like my ramen not too heavy, and this was it. My fiancé got the Original King with normal salt and richness and his was noticeably more salty, which was too much for me personally. I got the thick noodle and asked for it to be firm, and this was also perfect. It was nicely al dente and had a nice chew. The pork shoulder was nicely tender and they gave a generous amount compared to most ramen restaurants I've been to where the standard amount is 2 or 3 thin slices. I was afraid the squid ink would leave stains on my teeth like when I've had squid ink pasta, but this didn't happen, which I'm really glad about! The service was super speedy. We got our ramen less than 5 minutes after we sat down. Definitely would make a return at this location or another one. This one doesn't have an alcohol license, and since my fiancé must always have beer with ramen, we'd probably go to the one in Arcadia over this location until they finally get one.

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

Honestly sounds like BS to me, considering they have pickup orders by the front door on a shelf that anyone could take. Either way, the lack of an immediate apology or questions to clarify just point to the fact that he assumed immediately I was a scammer. Okay, annoying. But whatever. I want my food. I ask to have it remade - they're still seating people and people are ordering. They're not closing anytime soon. He tells me they won't remake it. I ask why and he continues to insinuate I'm a scammer and a thief trying to pick up someone else's order. He tells me to cancel my order. I'm beyond pissed at this point because I can't even get a refund via DoorDash because it's already being prepared. So I go back and talk to him again. He continues to refuse to cancel the order or remake it. He gets on the phone with a "Peter" who he claims is the manager. It gets really fun from here. Peter listens to my story and says there's nothing they can do. He says scammers do that all the time, and every restaurant deals with it. Okay, so how has it never happened to me at ANY restaurant? And how have I NEVER heard of it happening? So Peter, after refusing to do anything for me for a while, finally says he'll talk to the server to try and cancel the order from their end. Fine. I hand the phone back to Kendrick and he walks inside. I wait 7 min and no updates. So I go inside and ask him if he's canceling the order. He says, "what do you mean?" I tell him the manager said he'd tell him to cancel the order. Kendrick says, "he was telling you to do that". More gaslighting lmfaoooooo. I tell him no, he told you to. Again, I'm pissed beyond belief at this point and again, I can't get a refund via DoorDash because it's already "being prepared". You would think saying that 3 times is enough for them to finally get it but no. I wasted 20 min driving here, and another 25 waiting for a resolution for this BS. Kendrick tells me he can't cancel the order twice. I just ignore him and wait. 3 min later he goes "I canceled it". Like... you guys are acting like I'm the scammer when you clearly are the ones trying to pull some shady stuff. I FINALLY get my refund and Kendrick says, "sorry I just work here." Brother, that's not your line. You say that when, for example, corporate has a policy that no one likes. This all stemmed from you and your team's incompetence. The lying and gaslighting is absolutely crazy. 25 min and they either could've just refunded me or remade my order. A waste of time. I'll never visit any Slurpin again - this was just pathetic. Not a single bit of sincerity or willingness to help. The manager sounded like he was tired of talking to me, and our conversation lasted 2 min (I'm not even exaggerating). If you want food, don't go here. If you want to keep your money, don't come here. However, if you want to be treated like a liar and a scammer from the second you walk in, then this place is perfect.
