Came for their Combo set deal and it was very filling! The potions are great if you're looking to share between two people and don't want to get exceptionally full. If you order the combo for yourself, you will definitely feel very satisfied. Beef Noodle Soup (8.5/10) Not very spicy, great noodle texture, and balanced broth. This is a great beginner beef noodle soup due to the rich flavors, tender beef pieces, and mild spice. Spicy dumping (6.5/10) Love the garlic flavor and chillies that compliment the dumplings well! However the wrapper was a tad too thick and the filling felt like it was missing something. Beef Roll Pancake (7.5/10) Great flakey texture from the pancake and wrapped tightly into a roll. I definitely enjoyed the balance of cucumber and onions. The sauce used was a tad sweet in my opinion. The service was fast and using the table QR code to check out made the experience accurate and efficient. I enjoyed that there were photos on the ordering page so you can see the dishes! I appreciated the servers for coming to check in with us frequently.

We had dinner here the other night. It is located inside South Coast Plaza on the level below Din Tai. So there is ample parking. The restaurant itself is charming and has a fun vibe. We both got the $25.99 Signature Combo. You get your choice of drink, an appetizer and one of the signature bowl of noodles. For an extra $3 you can add a dessert. We got the brown sugar ginger tea and the passionfruit green tea. Both were so refreshing and tasty. For our appetizers we got the chili oil dumplings. We loved the flavor and the heat on the dumplings. The dumplings themselves were soft and filled with pork. We got the spicy sparerib noodles. I loved the bok choy. The noodles were fresh and bouncy. The meat fell off the sparerib bones. The broth was rich, warm and delicious. For dessert we got the brown sugar rice cakes. Soft, sticky mochi texture and the brown sugar was the right amount of sweetness. The pumpkin cakes were soft and delicious. I loved the grated coconut on top. In addition to the signature combo, we added spicy cucumbers. They were crispy and just the right amount of heat. The vegetable fried rice was delicious and so flavorful that we ate all of it. We also got a cold combo with seaweed salad, wooden mushrooms and beef. It was perfect to break up some of heat from the noodles and dumplings. Wonderful service and large portions will make this your new soup noodle spot.

Tried a new noodle spot after a lego free build. Had the spicy beef noodle, beef noodle clear broth, beef roll, and the Chinese donut and soy milk. The beef noodle broth was clean with a nice beefy flavor. The spicy one was a little richer. If you're not looking for something heavy, then I would say go for the clear broth. The was plenty of meat and the noodle had a good chew. The only thing is that the noodle would loose its texture the longer you take to eat. The beef roll is a little small but good with the pancake being crispy and the beef tender. The cucumbers add the fresh crunch to the dish. The Chinese donut is crispy and soft albeit a little flat. Service is fast and friendly. Overall a delicious meal.

Great place if you wanna have noodles! They have different varieties, you can have the options spicy or not. Really really yummy, satisfying! Service is good and fast too.

Yummy . We ordered the spicy beef noodle and Sichuan cold noodle dish and the wood ear cold dish. The wood ear was a bit salty but very flavorful. The cold noodle dish was by far our favorite. Super simple, very tangy and flavorful.

Came here for the all you can eat for $30 OC Restaurant Week deal. True to their word, everything on the menu was fair game (except soft drinks which is $5 more). I ordered all the popular items such as Beef Roll Pancake, Shrimp Fried Rice, Mapo Tofu Noodles, Steamed Egg Pork, Pork Shrimp Fried Dumpling, etc. The dishes were delicious and my mouth had the spicy zing feeling after eating sichuan spices. My favorites were the Mapo Tofu, Fried Dumplings, and Beef Roll Pancake which were all delicious and had a premier flavor. The fried rice could've used more flavor, which is why it's best accompanied by chili oil. Great food overall for a limited time deal.

We tried Mian during OC restaurant week and took advantage of the $30 all you can eat special they offered. The all you can eat included full portioned dishes, anything on the menu. If you wanted unlimited drinks it was an extra $5, which was totally worth it! Food- 8/10. Food was yummy! I loved being able to have all you can eat so we could try many dishes. I loved the cucumbers and dumplings. The rice was a little bland but had a lot of shrimp! The drinks were good, but I wish there was a little extra sweetness to them. Service- 10/10. Everyone was so kind and helpful! Carroll was great and helped us with everything! Restaurant- 9/10. The restaurant had a lot of seating! They had sit down and to-go options. They also had a viewing area where they made the food, which was cool. The restaurant was clean and organized. It's in the South Coast Mall, so there are lots of shops around and parking. We went at 3:30pm and there was no wait.

Ok we are officially pigs. We did the all you can eat Mian OC Restaurant Week. Started strong with the Mian Cold noodle combo, steamed egg with minced pork, sesame balls, chili oil Chão shou, hot and sour chao shou, shrimp and pork pot stickers, shrimp fried rice, chicken in chili oil, and beef rib. We are officially stuffed. Definitely come here when you are hungry and in South Coast Plaza. The staff are amazing! It's downstairs from Din Tai Fung. Happy Yelping!

The food was delicious and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience. I would definitely come back again.

Beats having to wait for a table upstairs. Dont come down to SCP often, but hacebvos9ted Moan before. A bright clean space with Asian influence for a fast service restaurant. Decent selection of items, all good and delicious. Had the wood ear mushrooms, the spicy dumplings and beef wraps. All satisfying. Friendly and prompt service.

I think this is a pretty good spot to get your noodles fix with a lot of spice. It seems like South Coast Plaza is probably the only mall in the area that has really good food choices. This is located across Uniqlo and right next to marugame udon on the first floor. The only times I see lines were weekends, but if you come during an off peak time like around 3 pm, there shouldn't be a line. I like the combo menus which comes with an app, entree, and a drink. We ordered the combo B for $25. For the app, we ordered the hot and sour wontons (which we highly recommend) and the beef noodles (solid choice). The drink was really whatever, but we just came here for the food. The food comes out pretty quick and you order everything off your phone. Service was pretty good for the most part and the restaurant was really clean as well.

Randomly decided to try this place with the wife last night…read more I remembered there being a spot called mogu mogu here prior and confirmed with the waitress that it's the same menu! Spicy miso ramen: 9/10 Actually one of the better ramens I've had lately. The broth is creamier and isn't overpowering with chicken/beef flavor. The chashu was nice and tender as well. I really liked that their noodles were al dente and not too soft Deluxe mazemen: 8/10 Taking my first bite, I was instantly greeted with an explosion of umami. There's a LOT of flavor packed in this bowl and the noodles used are actually a bit thicker which is right up my alley. My only drawback on this dish was that I wished it came with some sort of veggies to cut through all the flavor. They also give you a small serving of rice at the end for you to mix into the bottom which was a nice addition Kurobota sausage: 7.5/10 We've recently been on a kurobota craze. Don't get me wrong, these were great but we've only had them charred and grilled before so I was taken aback when I saw that these were only steamed. Flavor was spot on but I'm a sucker for a nice char or crisp to my meat Overall, loved the service and small restaurant vibe of this spot. We were seated very quickly and the food came out even faster. Definitely come try this spot, I know we'll be back

The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!

A Legendary Slurp - Gone But Never Forgotten It is a true…read moretragedy for the Orange County food scene that Hakata Ikkousha in Costa Mesa has closed its doors. This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

Most of the time when we walk by on weekends there's a fairly long line. There's a decent amount of seating, but a lot of the tables were dirty when we arrived and they stayed that way the entire time we were there. You order along the counter and find a seat after paying for your food. The service interactions are minimal and they gave very short responses when we asked questions. It was also a little bit off because the cashier went off to go do another task in the middle of our transaction so we ended up having to stand there and wait for a few minutes in order to get a receipt. The portion size is decent and the noodles are very fresh. The noodles have a really nice chewy texture and they're really enjoyable to eat. We said yes to adding tempura flakes but it ended up making the soup fairly oily. The shrimp tempura was mostly batter and it was difficult to find the shrimp inside. The next time I go back I would want to try other dishes to see if the taste is better.

It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry.
