I've been to the Costa Mesa location but not this one. I didn't know there was one closer to me so I had to come try. I did come just an hour before they closed for their lunch/dinner break. We did call just to make sure we weren't cutting close to their last call. Got seated right away since there wasn't too many people inside. Did notice the location is quite tucked away from other stores. With the location being in a small area, the inside is small and seating is limited (Similar to the Costa Mesa location) Overall, the food was good. The spicy wonton was on the drier side, was hoping for more sauce on the dish. The mazemen was a bit salty. Did try to use a little vinegar to maybe cancel or enhance the taste but for me, it didn't taste much different. Definitely try it out, but not sure if this would be on my top list of mazemen spots.

We went for lunch on a Saturday. The location is tucked away in a corner of a hidden plaza, but it wasn't too hard to find. When we walked in the restaurant was clean and more spacious than how it would appear from the outside. The service was quick and friendly. We got an order of the deluxe mazemen and the Saitama. Both were very tasty, and adding the vinegar and sesame seeds that are at the table add an extra kick that keeps the meal interesting. Would 100% go again if we were in the mood for mazemen.

Tried the Tokyo Mazemen (without fish umami) and chicken karaage. The mazemen was decent, but I think I'm just not much of a mazemen fan. The noodles were a bit too al dente for me, and I was hoping the flavors would be a bit bolder. The jammy egg was the best part though. It added a rich, creamy texture and made the dish more enjoyable. The chicken karaage was juicy, though I was expecting a crispier coating. On its own it was ok, but the sauces really brought out the flavor. The restaurant was clean and service was good. While these dishes weren't quite for me, I'd still be interested in coming back to try one of their ramen bowls.

Excellent service with friendly waiters and food came out quick! the mini cup of rice was a perfect way to finish up all that sauce at the end!

Their deluxe mazemen is my favorite noodle dish- a little of every topping and always perfectly al dente. I also really enjoy their fried squid legs- I ate 5 of them before taking pics. Oops. They used to be Mogu Mogu mazemen but changed names. Same menu same owner.

Honestly a solid spot for mazesoba in Fullerton. It kind of reminds me of another popular spot- Menya Hanabi. Got the Tokyo mazemen w/o chives & fish umami and it was delicious. Tiny serving of rice to eat with the sauce.

I was in the area with some friends and found this place on Yelp. The place was a little busy despite the plaza being pretty open, and we had about a 10 min wait. I ordered the deluxe mazemen and it was good, especially when adding more vinegar that gives a little kick. The noodles were a little tougher compared to other mazemen places I've tried though; I think I prefer softer noodles. But the server refreshed our waters and gave us the little rice cups without us asking, which I appreciated. I'd go again if I was in Fullerton, but probably would not wait for that long.

Short wait on a weekday night, staff is nice. Came here a year ago when it was Mogu Mogu and it's the same. Ordered the kyoto which comes with pork belly and is nonspicy. Next time I need to remember that I actually like the tokyo [with ground pork] much better. the 'spicy' sauce isn't very spicy and is much more flavorful than the kyoto's nonspicy sauce. the deluxe is a delight with poached AND soft boiled egg, chashu [but different than the kyoto's version. it's thinner long slices], ground pork. wish the deluxe came with kale as well. Ambiance is casual and clean. Would definitely come again. plentiful parking in an unassuming small plaza. don't forget to ask for the little scoop of rice at the end to soak up all the sauce!

I love spicy miso ramen, and I was looking forward to trying WADAYA's spicy miso ramen, and I was not disappointed. My number one requirement for ramen restaurants is that the ramen noodles cannot be soft. Thankfully, the ramen noodles here were not soft! They had a bite to it, which I prefer. Flavorful soup too. No complaints! Great customer service, our server asked if I would like to join the (free) rewards program, which I appreciated. Would definitely return!

Rating: 8/10 First time trying Wadaya in Fullerton. Interior is modern and well decorated. Not a lot of tables, so there was a short wait. Space is clean and neatly set up with utensils, sauces, and spices at the table. Service was fast and very good. Ordered the chicken karaage and wagyu beef ramen. Wagyu beef ramen was very flavorful. Sauce had good depth and the noodles had a nice chew. The slices of beef were tender and well prepared. Only complaint is that the broth leaned a bit too salty for me, but overall still a strong bowl. Chicken karaage was decent but nothing special. Crispy outside and juicy enough inside, but didn't stand out on its own. The sauces carried it -- especially the wasabi mayo, which added good flavor and balance. Overall, very solid first visit. Would come back.

i got the food to go, and it came with clear instructions on how to reheat. i love that they included the vinegar, egg, and rice on the side as some other places do not include all of them when you take it to go. i wish i could have tried it inside the restaurant to get the full experience since the food was so good, but it was nice to already have it packaged up since it was big enough to last two meals. if im in the area, i would definitely come back to actually try it in the restaurant!

Too bad Yelp isn't like AGT with the golden buzzer. I'd give Wadaya 6 stars if I could! Serious food porn. Food was amazing, very authentic. Reminded me of my Japan trip. Service was excellent: Very friendly. One of best part was no wait when we arrived as soon as they opened. Good ambiance as well. My 5 year old loved it as well when he made correct ramen slurping noise haha.

Wadaya continues to be the best spot in the area for mazemen. I ordered the Deluxe Mazemen, and it was absolutely delicious. The grated sesame seeds and garlic added a deep, aromatic flavor, and there was just the right amount of pork and seaweed to complement the noodles perfectly. The soy sauce egg was seasoned beautifully and cooked to that ideal soft texture that makes the whole bowl come together. Service was quick, and everything came out much faster than expected. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and I was seated toward the back on the bench seats, which was a nice and relaxed spot to enjoy the meal. Food: 5 out of 5 Service: 4 out of 5 Atmosphere: 4 out of 5 Overall: 5 out of 5 because it truly is the best mazemen in the area.

Our waiter was very kind and thoroughly asked us about which meal and the ingredient options. He also was checking on us occasionally and so was another staff member. Service was 10/10. With the food, we got the Kara Misu Ramen and Tonkotsu Ramen bowls. The presentation looked great. Broth on both bowls tasted good. The pork tastes soft like fat. But it's always been a viable option for some good food. But today I was shocked by how empty it was on a Thursday at 3pm. Something seemed off. I wondered because the service is quick and the staff is nice. Our appetizers were great no issues there. But apoun tasting my ramen it became more obvious to me why this place fell off and didn't have a soul inside. The tonkatsu ramen here use to be DELICIOUS. An experience of flavors and textures it was like cooked for 16 hours or something like that but idk if they got rid of that ,for some reason today my ramen was just bland and flavorless and not that hot and the meat was a little undercooked for my liking. I typically don't like to add too many condiments or chili oil to my ramen the broth alone should be able to stand on its own but it just did not. It was lowkey kinda nasty. And the noodles didn't help. And if I recall the last few times I've been here I recalled the same issue. The sauce on the teriyaki chicken was almost gelatinous. It looked like snot, it had this strange texture. I've never tasted something so gross. It Tasted worse than it looked and it looked terrible No joke. I hope they're able to fix these things because it's such a staple. This place really needs to get it together like how it was in 2016-2019! Those were some good times here!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great ramen, sushi, and more for everyone!…read more The hubby and I'd learned about this place from a vegan acquaintance and were intrigued enough to make the trek from Long Beach to check it out. Located in an older shopping center, the interior had a clean, pleasant homey traditional Japanese look to it, but it did feel a bit cramped with divider walls. The main attraction for us was their vegan menu, of course, which turned out to be amazingly extensive (they have non-vegan stuff too). Generally, even if a restaurant offers vegan/vegetarian items it feels like a token afterthought, but not here. In addition to the ramen and sushi items we were expecting, there were a bunch we were not, like "meaty" dumplings, fried "shrimp", and "chicken" katsu curry (which I had to try). I was really wowed by this dish; the "chicken" felt like an actual breast meat filet, and the crispy coating was great. The curry was the real star, which had all the right flavors and texture that I remembered. The hubby had the Vegan Ecstasy ramen, which he really enjoyed. It had a delicious creamy broth with broccoli, corn, tofu slices, and delightfully chewy noodles. We also shared a vegan caterpillar roll; couldn't tell what they used for the "eel" (eggplant?), but since the star of caterpillar rolls is the avocado and sauce, it had the right flavor and texture. We were with my non-veg brother and nephew, who shared a salmon roll, CA roll, and spicy pork won tons, which they really liked. According to my brother the wontons were very spicy, with a lot of chili threads on top, so beware. They also gave us some complimentary vegan matcha ice cream at the end (has nuts, fyi), which we thought was a nice touch. The great food, service, and prices so wowed us that we brought my sister and her family here to celebrate some birthdays. I'd called ahead to reserve a table for our party of six, and we were sat at the large semi circle booth at the back. We ordered an assortment of veg and non-veg items and everyone loved the food. This is now our go-to for vegan ramen and Japanese food, especially if we're meeting up with non-veg people.
