Waddell's serves amazing pub food and has a decent beer list with monthly brewer specials. Admittedly, I treat this place like an extension of my kitchen and the staff here are always on top of it and welcoming. My favorite item on the menu is the smoked brisket slaw dog with cilantro. It's the perfect balance of salty and sweet (the brisket sauce is slightly sweet) with some heat from the cilantro. The texture of the slaw adds a nice crunch and it's nice and refreshing. Other favs include their terragon pasta salad, sweet potato fried and their nachos with perfectly seasoned ground beef. Seriously, kudos to the kitchen staff because it's hard to go wrong with any menu item. It's a great, non-pretentious pub atmosphere where you can settle in comfortably and enjoy your meal. read more

I went here for the first time with my family expecting great food! We have had multiple friends refer this restaurant and rave about how great everything is. However, this was not the case for us. When we received our order one member of our group got a burger and fries that appeared to be reheated and not very fresh. I ordered the inferno wrap and got a different wrap entirely (maybe the southwest wrap - there were jalapeños) and the fish & chips another member ordered in our group were completely overdone. I have to say I had high expectations for a well-known highly reviewed location. I might try it again but there are definitely better places to dine at in the area. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries were delicious however the chicken was very dry and the amount of chicken was very little. I have never complained at a restaurant before, but I was severely disappointed in the food. I have always loved this restaurant and have eaten here for many years, but recently it seems to have had issues with the quality of food. One of the best places I've eaten in Spokane. It feels like a local favorite sports bar that's been around for years. It wasn't very close to anything so I wouldn't have discovered this place had it not been on Diner's Drive-In's and Dives. The service was awful. Long wait times (when there was only one other table). The food was substandard. The orders were mixed up. Luke warm fries. They brought us menus that were dirty and sticky. They charge a 3% surcharge to use a credit card which they didn't tell us about until we paid. We will never go back. Guy Fieri should remove his name from their menu. read more

We sat outside on the patio, it was such a nice day! We are here around 3 on a Sunday, they weren't so busy so we were able to get right in! My kids decided here because of the Guy Fieri DDD show. I'll get to the point, the food was delicious. Honestly. I ordered the French dip with sweet potato fries and omg they were great! The wife ordered the repeater and the son ordered the big dawg, both double patty burgers and they both said their burgers were delicious. The daughter ordered a lil dog with onion rings and she was also impressed. The decor is pub style and here are TV's to watch sports. The menu is fairly priced and the service was great. Will def be back! Checked out the bathroom, the faucet is not automatic BUT the bathroom was clean and (brace yourself) there was a HUGE TV in the bathroom! We always try to stop in, when we are in the area, because we know that the service and chow is always great!! Andrew did a fabulous job! I wound up back at Waddell's on November 4, 2021 after an attempted and failed visit to a local competitor to them. Waddell's is just as good as always. I had a little R burger. Fabulous! My wife had the smoked burger. That one was good too as I stole a bite. Server was fun and cheerful and joked with us. Good brews, good time watching Thursday night football. What's not to like here! Really enjoy the food here. The chicken sandwiches are great the spicy one "the slaughterhouse" is seriously tasty love the fresh jalapeños. The sweet and spicy wings are incredibly good too. BUYER BEWARE, Seriously, you need to be EXTRA CARFUL of this restaurant. Was there with client a few days ago and paid for a share of the bill, client insisted on paying the balance. That said the client discovered on credit card statements that they were charged twice for same meal , the second amount being double the original bill. This borders on outright "FRAUD". We called and complained about this thinking it was just a mistake......no way was the bill in excess of $107.00 and demanded a call for explanation. DID NOT RECEIVE any response from Management, who by the way was our waitress that day.."CRYSTAL Whatever". This is totally unacceptable as client had to go straight to credit card company to get a disputed charge reversed. No call, no apologies, no nothing from this second rate bar & grill. So I repeat.....BUYER BEWARE, this place is disappointing and dishonest in their dealings with the public. If they do this to one, who knows how many others they have scammed for double charges. The beer selection alone makes this place a 3 star pub but when you add good food and friendly service you got to bump them up to at least a 4. Visited last Tuesday night as I was in town for a week of training. The beer selection is top notch and there are plenty of old standbys but what I appreciated the most was the local brews on tap. You should have no problem finding a beer to your liking. The menu has all the bar favorites like burgers and sandwiches and salads but also does entrees like steak, ribs, chicken and even trout. Ordered Poutine as an appetizer to start and the BBQ Brisket Sandwich with Salad as my entree. The menu touts that Guy Fieri visited and marks what menu items he tasted if that is your bag. The Poutine gravy was nice and salty and the fries did their job. The cheese curds were perfectly fried and really made me eat past fullness. The BBQ Brisket Sandwich was decent and filling. The brisket was piled on and the sauce brought a sweet and smoky note. Cheddar and Red Onion completed the sandwich. Beware they close a little early for my tastes (10pm) but still it was a fun evening for all. read more

Called two weeks out for a work function to give a heads up that I would be coming in with 15-20 people. The hostess was very rude and stated "we don't take reservations". We went into this location on a weekend. My friend and I were seated and looked at the menu. The place was pretty empty considering that it was the weekend. The food is really great when they take the time to get your order correct. I have loved going to Waddell's for years, but about 2 years ago, they started having problems in their kitchen. Whether it was wings that were cold in the middle or menu items that were sent out incorrectly. For example: this isn't even a joke. I hate onions. They make me gag. I won't eat onions. So, naturally, I order my burgers without onions. I once asked for a new burger without onions, only to be served a second burger with onions. The straw that broke this camel's back was when I ordered a burger from them on Ubereats, no onions. I even wrote *ALLERGY* on the ticket, because they legitimately screw it up that often. I'll give you one guess what was on my burger. Now, am I disappointed? Very much so. I have spoken to their kitchen manager more than once about the inefficiency of his kitchen. No changes. But, the real reason I'm writing this stupid essay is to say, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY SERIOUS ALLERGIES. They legitimately might kill you. read more

We loved this place. Had a bacon guacamole cheese burger and the French dip. First the fry sauce is amazing and I don't ever do fry sauce. The French dip was very good and flavorful even with a slightly soggy bun. The fries were nicely seasoned and the burger was great. Loved the pickles too! And again-not a norm for me. I ordered the little R burger which was just one patty of the Repeater (Two 6 oz. hamburger patties with bacon, grilled ham, Tasty bits, mayo and melted Cougar Gold® cheese. Drizzled with A-1® sauce. If I could give them no stars I would. I'm in from out of town this weekend and was really hoping to get my Waddell's fix. The vaccination rate in Spokane county is a little too low for me to feel safe eating inside a restaurant, so I tried to call and place a to go order. Their phone was not working so I drove across town to physically place an order. I was turned away by the hostess, she told me they weren't taking to go orders. The Mother's Day massacre. Nothing like a 3.5 hour lunch. Had been to Waddell's a hundred times. Apparently they had cooking issues and had to go to ace hardware next door and buy sternos to heat the food. Never had a manger stop buy and tell us why the food was 2 hours late.
