The establishment is in an unsuspecting underground place with a good amount of seating. The service was very quick and the staff was helpful! Decided to have lunch today at waffle and berry and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I had an acai bowl with side waffle, iced coffee and a limeaid. The acai bowl was HUGE, came with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. Once you get your bowl, there is a station to the side with toppings that you can add on your own. Chia seeds, cacao, coconut flakes, granola and honey. It was perfect. The acai bowl was so big that my mom and I split one but still had a little left over once we were done eating. This is now my favorite place to get acai. It is a little pricey compared to other eateries, but the acai here is amazing. The acai here is so clean and simple tasting, and also very thick. Acai from other places are usually mixed with some other liquid or fruits that makes it a little more watery/soft, and the taste isn't as "clean". When they're not busy, the service is fast. You order and get your acai bowl within 5 minutes. One tip about this location is that it is located underground. You have to go down a flight of stairs and you'll see it on your left. Really lovely service here! From the guy who took my order to the waitress who dropped it off and helped me out with connecting to the wifi. Now there's only 2 sides that has stair access to that lower level & you must enter on the ROYAL HAWAIIAN SIDE for this restaurant. If you're on SEASIDE AVE., you'd have to cut thru the lobby of WTC to the other side and take those stairs down. You CANNOT take the stairs down on SEASIDE AVE and think you can cut across underneath because it's CLOSED OFF!! (Don't know for how long or if they WILL OPEN IT LATER. But for now as of today (01/2025) it is closed!) **You must make your way to the ROYAL HAWAIIAN side street and walk down the stairs on that side of WTC & there you are, BOOM! Front door on your left at the very bottom of the stairs! As I said... basement refers to the level. That's all. So don't be afraid to go! In fact, right side is this Lobster Roll place. And OH MY GOD! That place is super yummy too! HIGHLY RECCOMMEND & be sure to HAVE MONEY. They charge by the market price for the day. It could be as low as $15 and as high as $50. You'd have to see what they price at. Anywho, go HERE for BREAKFAST & eat there for lunch! If I could, I'd GO BACK to BOTH PLACES if I had the money to spend so easily. The next day we showed up again for more açaí bowls and I was very surprised that he remembered us... only because hundreds of people walk through their doors. First of all, food was amazing. Ordered "the Aussie" and the açaí bowl. The owner, Cal, was extremely kind-hearted, gave us a wonderful experience, and helped me by accommodating to my allergy. He came to check on us many times and was honestly just the humblest and most kind owner we've met. The açaí bowl was the best one my husband and I ever had, and that's saying a lot since we have our fair share of açaí storefronts back home in California. The Aussie was the perfect blend of sweet, fruity, and warm. The waffle was bready and moist, perfect and kid-friendly. The place was quite spacious with many tables to choose from, they were also a good size and quite comfy. This is huge come with slices of banana or choose your fruit 2 waffles and ice cream or acai bowl with a light whipped cream! It was delicious and made just right perfect! My wife had the peanut butter and jelly waffles and sliced banana and ice cream and whipped cream. She loved it very much, it looked like we were the only locals there and meet some nice visitors from Road Island sitting at the next table. If you are a meat lover sorry they don't serve any meat items on their menu. The plate is large and service is fast! They don't provide validated parking, local owner trying to slowly get his business off and going, which we understand it is hard starting up and the parking was only $6.00 if you go early and spend a day cruising Waikiki they have a all day $15.00 parking rate. Hands down the best acai bowl I had on Oahu! There is reason why Waffle and Berry is so highly reviewed on Yelp. You order at the front when you walk in and then you take a seat at any open table. It was busy on a summer (August) Friday morning but there were still some spots open. They bring out the food to you when it's ready. We ordered the acai bowl and the berry waffle. When the acai bowl was ready they called me to the front where I could then take my acai bowl and add as many or as little toppings as I wanted. They had granola, coconut, honey, cacao nibs, and other toppings. I took a little bit of each one. Truthfully, this was the smoothest acai blend I've ever had. No hint of any iciness or graininess whatsoever. It was just pure goodness with fresh fruits. The coconut, granola, and cacao nibs added extra crunch, and the slight drizzle of honey added some extra sweetness. For an added fee, I added peanut butter, which for any peanut butter lovers out there, it's the best idea because their peanut butter is divine! The berry waffle comes out warm with a scoop of homemade whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The combination of a fluffy waffle with fruit and whipped cream (which was so perfectly light and not too sweet) was a match made in heaven. It's great for spending time with family and friends for a popular treat.
