Super friendly waitress. Bacon was crispy, waffle with peanut butter chips was tasty and the coffee delicious. Nice location.

We were greeted when we walked in and sat down. Our server was great. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the floors under some of the tables were dirty with napkins. They were cleaning while we were there. The food was hot and fresh. All of this food was under $30. read more

Did you know Waffle House is open Christmas Day? Well they are and it has become our tradition to go for Christmas morning breakfast. It is normally my parents and my family. Well this year we invited friends to come with us. There was 10 of us and it worked out perfectly. We sat at two booths with a chair on the end of each. Everyone ordered what they wanted and there was no clean up for us. When we arrived there were a few patrons in eating and the staff was dancing with the jukebox playing. There were some Christmas decorations. Just a bit to be festive. The food was Waffle House food. Always the same. It severs it purpose to fill you up. I probably won't be back until next Christmas but that's okay they will be there when we wanna go. read more

Walked in at 8:30 am and it was COLD and the music was LOUD. I guess they were still in their late night or open all night mode. But after the song finished there was no more music since it's a jukebox. I ordered two eggs medium, hash browns scattered and toast. My food was in front of me two minutes after placing my order. My daughter moved back from Texas and one at waffle House. This is the only waffle house close by. It's the little building like used to be waffle and steak. It's small inside our service was pretty quick. I had a jukebox to play music and the food was good. read more

Oh Waffle House how long it has been since I have came to one of your establishments. When I say long I mean decades. This used to be my jam. Ate here nearly everyday before school as a youngster. I opted for the $7.99 special. 2 eggs, hash browns, toast, waffle and sausage. The waffle was great bc it was a skinny waffle so you could actually eat it all. The restaurant felt and looked clean. In fact the staff was cleaning as we were eating. It is small in there blue they still had it at 50% capacity. They don't mess around. Your food gets out fresh and hot. Great service. read more

I've been meaning to get up early to visit this WH on my way to work (which hasn't happened, and not sure it will, haha!), but finally visited after a hectic few days of travel and conference. I was craving comfort food and waffles sounded like the cure. Thankfully, this visit hit the spot. It was ~6 pm and was pretty quiet, just a couple other parties visited while I was there. I decided to sit at the lower bar seating, and a server came right to me to take my order. I asked for hot chocolate and was told it was recently taken off the menu (WH decision-makers, if you're reading this, BRING BACK THE HOT CHOC). I went for a hot tea instead and ordered one of combos featured on the menu. Pecan pancakes with the nuts cooked in (not sprinkled on top), sausage patties, wheat toast, over-easy eggs, and hash browns. I had somehow missed breakfast and lunch, and am not ashamed to say I ate all but a couple bites of sausage. I may have felt a bit uncomfortable, but it was so satisfying. Service was good, food was good. Hopefully one day I'll finally get myself up early enough to stop by for (a smaller) breakfast. read more

I love Waffle House. It's a newer obsession for me and a guilty pleasure for when I want that greasy spoon atmosphere. I like to go between 10am-3pm-ish and the group that works then is well organized and will start to notice you as a regular. The food comes fast, quick clean up, and it's fun to sit at the bar and watch everything at work. Also amusing to see how thy organize the orders next to the grill - something to watch for. As for recommendations, try the All Star breakfast with scrambled eggs with cheese and the hashbrowns. Divine guilty breakfast! read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE Waffle House. Love them. But not this one. And a shout out to the server Jesse for being the reason. We arrived there late on a Sunday morning. People were standing and waiting. No one bothered to greet anyone at all. Finally when we figured it was our turn we took the next "clean" table. Jesse gave it a quick swipe with a towel but left a big puddle of syrup. Remember the "soup nazi"? Well, she is the waffle nazi. She was so abrupt and rude when taking our order. She's SO loud. Her voice....I can't describe it....she yells every thing. And when she was stacking clean plates she was throwing them so hard I feared they'd break! Our food came. I've never had an issue with Waffle House food. Today was no different. So delicious. My sister and I both got the All Star Breakfast. Eggs, hash browns, toast, bacon, and a waffle. A great deal for under $8! The food deserved 3-4 stars. But because of the annoying and obnoxious server getting negative stars, my total was 1 star. Ok. So here is the number one thing that will cause me to never go back to this particular restaurant. As we were sitting there eating, Jesse was clearing off a booth behind my sister. She took their mostly full glasses of drinks (orange juice in one) and threw the liquids out on the floor next to our booth!! There was a drain in the floor there but she was at least 3 feet away from it. I watched her do this then when our eyes met, she said, "drain." Seriously? Firstly that drain is not there for that purpose. Secondly she just left the liquid and ice there on the floor for someone to slip on. Thirdly it splashed all over. I was totally disgusted. She has no respect for company property, is oblivious as to how her actions reflect on the restaurant, and most likely knows nothing about food sanitation. I go through this area several times a year to visit my son in college, but I will not go back to this Waffle House. read more

Real diner food! On our way home from a hospital visit in Danville we stopped at Waffle House. Seriously haven't been to a Waffle House in close to 20 years. My girlfriend and I love Waffle House. We have visited locations in many states and have been satisfied with them all, until we visited THIS location. Our first visit was a text book example of poor service, but we hoped it was a fluke. The second time we returned with her son. We were summarily ignored after getting our order. This may have been fine but our glasses remained empty and her son needed jelly. The employees were more interested in visiting with each other than clearing off tables or checking on current customers. Because if this, we saw two sets of customers come in and leave because there were no clean tables, despite only having 3 customers. Our final visit comprised of walking in, grabbing a table, and having our waitress tell us she'd be there in a minute as she was refilling bottles. We waited almost ten minutes. Bear in mind, there was only one other customer, and he was drinking coffee and visiting with the waitress at the counter. After ten minutes were up, we left. The waitress was still visiting and had moved on from filling bottles to filling shakers. We haven't been back since. read more

Service is always horrible. I've had a server sit right in front of us while we had no drinks or syrup. Then give us an attitude. I've had a server roll her eyes at me for asking for simple things like a refill or ketchup. I've had them let us sit for over 5 minutes waiting just to tell us she's not serving us while we watched her serve other tables for the pst 5 mins. Although I love every Waffle House equally, this one has to be my new favorite as it now is the closest in proximity to my home. It is only 159.21 miles away. In the past, I had to travel 159.36 miles to reach the mecca! Chicago still needs a Waffle House MUCH closer than this one, but that is just my opinion. This is newer location so you can procure you Waffle House favorites with your typical Waffle House décor but everything is fresh and bright and new. A roadtrip from Chicago to this little spot of hashbrown heaven outside of Indianapolis was more than worth the four hour drive in cramped quarters. I am a certified "covered, diced, and smothered" junkie who would go through anything to get her fix. The food here is your typical WH fare. Delightfuly greasy breakfast options, perfectly cooked hashbrowns topped to your liking, and thin but huge crispy waffles. The coffee was strong, and our sweet and efficient server kept if flowing. Breakfast for four was under $40, so price is a non-issue here. All of us left happy, and very full. Let me just say that the car felt much smaller on the trip back home. Truth be told, as great as this WH house is, since it is a new building, it lacked some of the character of its old-school, more southern counterparts. No huge, welcoming, yellow light-up sign out front, no beat up seating, dimly lit atmosphere, or years of smokey grease buildup. I really should not look the gift horse in the mouth, though, since this is the closest one to home, only a mere 150+ miles! read more

I usually love Waffle House. For the money you usually can't get a better breakfast. There isn't a WH on every corner in Indianapolis so I'm usually excited to treat myself to this place. It's pretty clean as WH goes my expectations are pretty low. So pleasantly surprised at the bathroom not being horrific. The food was OK and brought out quickly and our server was a nice girl. My issue with this place is that the staff either doesn't know or doesn't care that they are on display for their customers. I'm not interested in hearing about "the turnup" or "the traphouse" as I enjoy my hashbrowns. Granted it is Waffle House so some chatter behind the counter is to be expected but the party going on this morning was just ridiculous and unprofessional. The kids working here could use a reminder that they are at work as well as some training in customer service. read more
