    Mid plate. Not even good.

This is the house not ONLY of waffles, but also laughs, smiles, good vibes if you WILLLL!!! Had great company, great food, and even greater service. Absolutely recommend. If you want a good time, Waffle House never disappoints.

We do not have Waffle House in Las Vegas so it is a must that I go whenever I visit my family in Louisiana. Let me just say, this is my absolute favorite place to eat breakfast. We sat at an empty table and was immediately greeted. I had a 2 egg breakfast with bacon, toast & loaded potatoes. It was exactly how I remember it, divinely delicious! So good I cleaned my plate! Our server was on point but not pushy, perfect service. The place was clean and all employees seemed to work well together. Waffle House is so nostalgic, I will definitely try to go back before I have to leave.

Whose house?! Waffle Houseee! You know what time it is when you step into a Waffle House. It's a vibe with employees who keep it real. Luckily, I had a waiter who was in a funny mood because the laughs were just as good as the waffle. He was so funny, I didn't even get upset that the pecans I asked for weren't in my waffle. All my Waffle House trips have been pretty good, so catch me at a Waffle House when the craving for it gets strong enough.

New Waffle House in Baton Rouge!

I mean what more can I say other than it's the Waffle House! I'm super excited that they opened another location in Baton Rouge. The College Drive store is always too busy, and this location is easier to access from my house. The store is new, but the staff is well seasoned! It's sparkling clean because it's brand new, but it still gives us those super casual, late night diner vibes. The food is right on par with the rest of the Waffle House chain. I will say that it wasn't as greasy as I expected it to be, but give 'em a week or two.

They refuse to answer the phone ever. Ordering takeout is apparently not an option at this place

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stellar customer service that set the tone for our entire experience. Our waiter, Justice, was truly delightful. It was an absolute pleasure being served by him. He was incredibly friendly, patient and attentive, especially with our party of 14, which included children. His attention to detail and welcoming demeanor stood out, and his positive energy elevated our experience. Justice went above and beyond, and his efforts did not go unnoticed! The entire staff working on Saturday, April 4 was top notch. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful and professional. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and overall service, everything exceeded our expectations. I can say this was a 5 Star Brunch experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Louisiana!

2.5 's rounded up…read more It was my first time in Baton Rouge and it was recommended by a friend. We made a reservation and were seated quickly but that's where the best part of the evening ended. There was a steady stream of people coming in and the restaurant is packed. The garage doors at the other side of the restaurant were open so it was hell a hot!! In mid-august!!! We ordered drinks and only three of the four were delivered. The fourth was eventually delivered. We order food and it was at best a 3. The best plate was the boudin quesadilla. I thought it was going to be small but was filling. The po boy didn't have any condiments on it and when I asked for cocktail sauce I was told they didn't have any!!!! How can you serve a shrimp po boy sandwich and not have cocktail sauce?!?! The fries were ok. But one of our party ordered her friend extra crispy and they were the second best thing served. The ketchup is bbq sauce mixed with ketchup. Interesting but not what was wanted for fries. Sean was our waiter and he was as good as he could be. He wasn't in charge of the drinks or the food or the heat. All in all I would not recommend SoLou.

Had a good experience at Another Broken Egg Cafe…read more Honestly, not much to complain about. The menu has a great variety of options, and the food itself is high quality - everything we had was well-prepared and satisfying. The only issue was that my friend had to ask for a new set of cutlery since hers wasn't clean. Not a huge deal, but definitely something that shouldn't happen. Other than that, everything was solid. Overall, a reliable spot for a good meal in Baton Rouge.

Let me start by saying it had been a while since I came back to this restaurant, and now I remember…read morewhy. The service was unfriendly, the food was overpriced, and the overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. We had a party of six and were charged a "large party fee," which would have been fine if it had been explained upfront. Then there was an additional fee just for using a card. I ordered the table beignets, and they tasted more like fried biscuits than the beignets they used to serve. My son ordered a chicken waffle and was asked if he wanted bacon(2pc) on the side, assuming it came with the meal, only to later find out it was an extra charge that was never explained. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which used to be my favorite dish here, and it was terrible. The only flavor was Worcestershire sauce and green onions. Nothing about it tasted fresh or balanced. The restaurant itself was not clean. The floors were sticky, and the tables were so wobbly our drinks kept sloshing out. We finally had to shove napkins under the table leg just to keep it stable. To top it off, we never received one of the drinks we ordered or the extra bread we asked for. For just me and my son to eat brunch, the bill came to over $72. I truly hate leaving bad reviews, but between the poor attitudes, dirty floors, lack of service, surprise fees, and bad food, this place earned it. There are too many better brunch spots in Baton Rouge to waste your money here. And one last thing -- if you're going to charge a party fee, charge it fairly across the table instead of sticking certain people with more because they ordered more food. Do better.
