The Pumpkin Spice waffles were to die for. When we arrived, it was packed. Every single seat and booth taken, but we had already committed so we decided to wait it out. Every member of the staff was busy, but we were still acknowledged and they let us know to just hold on and we'd be seated ASAP. I won't lie, it took a while. It's not very big on the inside, so there's not a ton of space to wait but they do have some chairs available along the sides to sit. (All occupied when we got there) When we were finally seated, our waitress was the sweetest lady in the world. Our food didn't take very long to come out at all, and everything across the table was delicious. When my pumpkin spice waffles came out, I was a bit underwhelmed by the appearance. They had asked if I wanted whipped cream, and I said yes, but it was forgotten. Not a big deal to me. With my first bite I discovered it wasn't needed at all, and looks can be deceiving because they were AMAZING. I also got over easy eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast. It was all cooked perfectly. So, this is two days in a row that there was a waffle house across the street from the hotel I was staying at on a side street. Honestly, this is not a good location from a business standpoint. It is off the main road and you will never notice that it's here, that is, unless you were looking for it. I was fortunate enough that my hotel along with another hotel were both literally right next to it. So, with the reality of covid and the distinct possibility that hotels will never offer breakfast again, Waffle House it was again. This really is not a big issue. I truly like their hash browns and you cannot go wrong with one of their egg orders. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. It is just off of the highway, but again, it is hard to find if you are looking for a quick meal option off of the highway. So I came here after leaving dissatisfied from the Waffle House in the University area but still wanting breakfast. I ordered the "2 eggs breakfast" with grilled chicken on the side. Although I ordered this dish for pickup- it wasn't ready when I got there. However, one of the things that I could appreciate is that one of the cook/servers came up to me and told me he misplaced the ticket and that someone was making my dish right away. Also upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by 2 employees whom were very polite and said good morning. This establishment was very clean, everyone had great energy and it didn't take long for my food to be cooked. Once I got my food and got to the car, the original server came to the car (in the rain) and let me know I forgot my drink. Excellent Waffle House experience with a crew that seemed to be pretty happy about being at work today though one of the customers decided to be an ass and rev his shitbox really loud for a couple of minutes. He apparently didn't like his hash browns. Anyway, my "all star breakfast" was good with two over easy eggs that were a little greasy, white bread (zero nutritional value), hash browns ("covered") and a waffle that turned out to be a little bit overdone. It smelled amazing, food was fresh and came quick, sanitation score is a 99, & they even had a greeter at the door! So an old faithful after a long night! I stick with the all American which is a waffle, eggs I get a side of home fries smothered and covered with onions and cheese bacon and toast. What makes this Waffle House unique is the staff is just as upbeat as the music as they have playing in the background that definitely took me back to my college days. I went to this location Saturday Morning only to get halfway thru lunch and see a roach strolling across the counter where the food was being cooked. It was swatted and the workers continued to move as if nothing happened. I'm leaving tonight (1:30am) to be exact because Miss B had hair in my eggs. I politely pointed it out to her and she replied she didn't see it. 2 times. And then I showed the lady that took the order, she saw it but wanted to make more eggs. After another event just a few days apart I no longer recommend this place. Serving bacon that was over fried from the last order, wildly cursing to familiar customers and getting an attitude because I didn't want to pay for hair in my eggs... I know it's Waffle House but do we not have a standard anymore? Is our level of quality now so low and acceptable? Seems like this location needs an overhaul. read more

Out of the 10 people working in the restaurant only one had their mask on properly. The cook was preparing food with her bare hands and had her mask on her chin. This the worst waffle House, I ever been to. Waitress had her friend at the counter. So it was more important to keep talking to her then coming over and take our order. No menu was given. This place is awesome! We were visiting from NY for a few days and were snowed in by the 1/2" of "inclement weather" down here in Charlotte. Ok just went here with my kids they were off from school , so i decided to go here for breakfast . We got there it's somewhat busy but not extremely place is small so looks crowded. Waiting for a table see 2 tables that have empty plates , made eye contact with servers no one notice us for 5 min until the guy cooking say something one of the waitress went and pick table , she didn't look like in a good mood already, we sat and and order drinks she came like 4 min later and took order here where the fun begins. Finish coffee wanted more see her going to refill other customers bypass me until I asked for more she refill it. My kid wanted waffle with chocolate chips , she said didn't have any( when paying saw customer with chocolate chips waffles on her to go order ) we got our breakfast with my other kid no bacon so i waited nothing happened so I ask for bacon she replied it was on my way but she has to clean table . Ok bacon arrived min later, cold so was my breakfast that I ate half waiting on bacon. Ok almost there, guess what ?
