Did not get what I ordered, no leader evident, slow and lots of chit-chat. Most disorganized Waffle House I have ever visited..

1st Waffle House experience. Was there around 11am on 1/27. The building was smaller than expected with limited seating, though I was still able to grab a table. It took some time to get orders in but the service was surprisingly attentive despite the busy shop. I ordered chicken, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sourdough toast. The eggs were nothing special (5/10) The toast was nice and crisp but not overdone (6/10) The hash brown was satisfying (6/10) The chicken was well above what I expected, seasoned well and still juicy, and not at all tough and rubbery for the low price (9/10) Perhaps the next I go to a Waffle House I'll actually get to witness it's fabled brawls. read more

First of all a white operations manager was extre discriminatory in her communication with me and literally blaming me for requesting that the white server "not" place her naked hand on my food. Mind you, it was done discreetly. On this 3rd visit she claims it was a problem from my very first visit. Complete wrong.! I literally watched as an older white server bring my food with her nasty thumb a forefinger touching my food, They got angry when I requested it to be redone and not to touch the food with naked hands. Again, a health and food safety rule to avoid cross contamination. On this day, I sent the food back. This time a black female brought mugs with silver spoons already submerged in the coffee. I wanted plastic.!it was a simple request. The white operations manager made the false appearance that "Oh you were something when I met you! Absolutely a bald faced lie! They started talking rude and refused service. It's common for Waffle House silver to be dirty and unsanitized . I was not offered the opportunity to request plastic. The black girl just skipped me and gave the submerged coffee to a couple who came after. She said, There's your food whil it was sitting by the cooking area- not sure if it was mine. This was done after she personally brought a burned waffle over showing it, saying," is this yours while snickering like, this is you brown skin ninga! read more

Don't go to Waffle House with high expectations lol. But I must say my experience was not bad. Went here while visiting Charlotte for the weekend. Everything I had was tasty and service was fast. The person that took our order was friendly. Small space but we got a seat right when we walked in. Seemed like a lot of people were picking up food to go but also eating in. My daughter had a layover in Charlotte so I picked up from the airport and she said mom let's do Waffle House breakfast. She got her 2×2 and I got my All-Star special as usual. Our waitress was very detail, oriented, patient and sweet.! Our breakfast was hot & delicious in under 15 minutes. Slow, slow, slow. Despite the fact that there was more crew than customers, it was slow to get our order placed and slow to get our food. About the only thing that wasn't painfully slow was paying the check at the register. Some of the crew was sitting at the side counter while the cook was slammed with orders. He was trying but you could easily see that he was struggling with the load. He did get orders correct (or at least no one was complaining) but things were being delivered out of order or one person got their food while their dining partner was still waiting. The restaurant was clean, our condiments tray was full enough and the food was the usual WH delicious. But I had a higher expectation for speed here since my last visit. read more

I am on a mission to try as many Waffle Houses as possible. This one is one of there good ones. It was very busy so we stood in the revolving queue at the door. The lovely lady leading the line took good care to make sure everyone got seated in order. She even came out with cpooins for the jukebox and let everyone choose songs they wanted. Finally seated our server was a hoot. She was enjoying people and her co-workers. the staff here, as in most WH's, work incredibly well together. I like to sit where I can see the full kitchen and they do not disappoint. My breakfast was hot, crispy, tasty and served within 10 minutes. This Waffle House is the closest to my how so it's the main one I visit. It's does a pretty good. Job. I never have to wait too long and the staff is friendly. I always get the same thing and it always come out perfect! Last time I went was so good I finally had to write a review! We went late one night and it had a couple tables in there with most people getting to-go food. I like that they had police in front because we know how late night eating spots in this area could be, so thanks for keeping us safe! I switched up and tried their new philly cheese-stake bowl. Hash browns covered with steak and cheese, yum! I added jalapeños to it because I like an extra kick and y'all it was GREAT! All our food came out hot and no long wait for a waffle( we tend to order a meal that comes with waffles and numerous times it had came out much later). To make it even better before our food came out a group came in and sat at the counter. I guess the staff found out it was one of their birthdays and started singing a church version of Happy Birthday! IT WAS EVERYTHING! the ladies in there was killing it at 1:30am! I visit this waffle house one early morning tired from a long drive very hungry and exhausted 3309 Queen City Dr. ask for Trina. She is the best. She recognized me out of all the employees in there. Always on some BS when you're trying to make a call in order. Either they pick up the phone and then hang up on you or they never pick up the phone. When you go pick up your order everyone just stands around and act like they can't help you or don't know what's going on. Someone in our travel party had been raving about Waffle House from before we even touched down at the airport, so of course we had to try it. There was a minimal wait even at that hour. This meant that the atmosphere or food was legit, and my assumption was correct. The juke box music is cranked, and the cooks are serving up deliciousness. It is styled like a diner, with the hometown atmosphere that I like. I can appreciate a simple breakfast meal, and this place definitely delivered. I had OJ, chocolate milk, a large waffle, sausage, grits AND an omelet that I got to choose what items I put in it. DELICIOUS, and hit the spot. So the one rule about Waffle House - don't order and eat the waffles. Trust me. I played it safe with a ham & cheese omlette, toast and bacon. My poor friends didn't know any better and found themselves with a case of "the bends" about 2 hours later. Unfortunately, this was also the only place we visited on our entire stay in NC where the folks working there weren't the least bit hospitable. Could be they were the only restaurant in a sea of travel lodges and they just get sick of making sh!tty waffles and rubber band hash browns for the general public. Walked in, no body there but about 7 workers, doing nothing, every table filthy, no greet, I went to the bathroom and came out wife still standing there not greeted..... we are literally 5 feet from the entire staff that is not doing anything. We sit at a dirty table, 5 min later a server comes over and mumbles some shit while barely cleaning the table. Asks us about a drink, we say coffee... drops off coffee and doesn't come back for almost 20 minutes but instead decides to tell stories as loud as she can in the kitchen area..... we are still the only 2 in here..... loud obnoxious unprofessional employees... I know I know I know, it's a friggin Waffle House but still it IS a business. The coffee taste like Shit and to top it off I got my hash brown "covered and smothered" which means cheese and onions.
