This is the best Waffle House we have been in..not only was it very clean but the cook Ryan really knows how to cook, the bacon, grits, eggs ,hashbrowns were perfect.. most of the other waffle houses we have been here the food was alright but usually floppy bacon, pale white peppered hash browns, runny grits all of which I hate.. the service Abby was delightful and so friendly..a good visit..we will be back

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Our waiter was very polite and very friendly. It pains me say this, but we had awful experience with our food order. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate and husband ordered the fired oyster plate. My grilled shrimp plate, was over cooked. My husband fried oyster plate, " he found a long black hair... wrapped around one of the fried oyster". Manager took the fried oyster plate off our bill. People preparing the food " need to make sure they're wearing a hair nets."

First Watch has around 630 locations across 32 states with the highest concentration in Florida. This location of First Watch in Foley, AL is a popular local spot in the area for their breakfast, brunch and lunch options. First Watch is one of only a handful of restaurants in the area that offer quinoa and they do offer a lot of other healthier options. One big negative to me about this spot is they don't have whole cream and only have that weak pathetic half and half junk so I have to bring my own cream. Another thing they lack (that is also way too common in a lot of Lower Alabama) is they don't have mustard so I have to bring my own mustard as well. I'm not the biggest fan of breakfast as I prefer the brunch and lunch time of eating a lot more. I'm a big fan of their bottomless coffee other than having to bring my own cream. The food is alright but I really prefer a New Orleans style brunch and lunch and there is no sign of any veal grillades and grits in sight at this spot. The service is a bit slow to refill your drinks and they seem to be a bit understaffed. Overall I've liked my experiences here but most of the food isn't my favorite while I do applaud their efforts to offer healthier food.

The appetizers were delicious (seafood stuffed mushrooms and fried pickles), and the entrees were gigantic. What made the trip a 10/10 for us is the management. I had a medical episode and the manager, our waitress, and the owner of the restaurant sat with my family and me until the ambulance arrived. Not only did the owner refuse our money and paid for our entire meal, he also made sure our waitress was tipped as well. Fantastic place to eat, and the owner is an angel. We will be back every single time we come down to our home away from home.

Those will be a requirement for every future visit. Have had fried, grilled, and baked seafood there, all excellent. Tin Top is our "Go To" restaurant on the coast, we always look forward to going there. Great value for the price, Not price gouging like some places that serve everything fried at a premium price, while living off name recognition of the restaurant. ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

The pluses - the savory waffle is unique and was a cool concept, but it was kind of bland. The macaroni salad was good too, not sure what was in it but I liked it. The negatives - the potatoes were kind of bland, two hamburger patties with cheese...? I mean, I'll try anything I guess, but they had no seasoning and weren't anything special. For the bad - Okay, REALLY sorry guys but the meat salsa was a no-go and look, I don't like to waste food, I take everything home with me but I couldn't finish that bowl. It just tasted like meat slop, an odd flavor and texture... I would have preferred like a chili if you had it... Service: So the other negative... my server at first was nice, sweet old lady, no complaints. Asked me for refills, made a suggestion for me, awesome. But as I am sitting eating my dinner, another waitress comes by and leaves the check. So, #1 I'm not done eating, #2 the place WASN'T packed (like let's get this guy outta here because we need the table!) and #3 I wanted to try a dessert waffle and I told the original waitress this at the start. I dunno, that really rubbed me the wrong way. I eat at restaurants a lot because of work, never in all my years was I given my check BEFORE I was done eating. And it's not like I had a bite or two left, like I had half my plate still. That I felt was kind of rude. I ended up telling the waitress that I wanted to still order a dessert and she was like "Oh okay, let me know then." And she took the receipt away. But still... Atmosphere: It's like a speakeasy inside and the menu theme is pretty cool. Plus while I was there, I guess they were playing poker? I kind of wanted to join in, that seemed like a nice touch to the ambiance. Neat place. Price: Middle of the road, but... I mean... it's waffles, they aren't exactly the priciest things on a menu either. A good meal with drink and dessert, about 35$. Plus there are cheaper things on the menu. Overall: Good concept, cool idea and the food wasn't horrible, I just would probably burn that meat salsa recipe and work on the customer service. It's an experience, the place has a theme and I LOVE that. Ham it up a bit. And don't bring the receipt until your patrons are done or they ask for it. I might try it again to add another star if I tried a different waffle type...
