    Waffle..

Consistently good food with fast service. The staff is focused to give the best service they can with what they are dealt with (you what I mean). I got 2 eggs over medium that were perfect, hash browns, scattered, smothered and covered to perfection! Side of grits with butter and a waffle! Great meal to start the day!

Growing up Waffle House was known as Waffle And Steak in Indiana and we never went as my parents didn't like it. Since our hotel didn't offer breakfast we headed across the road and was pleasantly surprised. Not fancy but now I understand why Waffle House has a cult-like following. The grits, eggs, waffle (sorry no photo) , and City ham really was what we wanted.

    Hair cooked into the eggs.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They brought my food to the table with hair in my eggs. I sent it back for a re-do. When she brings the 2nd round back, she tells me that she tried to get my food waived for the hair in my food but the district manager (Tom) who was cooking, wouldn't let her. I didn't ask for my ticket to be waived. She took it upon herself to ask. But the fact that a district manager made that mistake and had no more customer service than that, should make Waffle House question if he's the right person for the job of district manager. So the 2nd round comes out and the bacon is burn to a crisp. Just BLACK! I asked for my hash browns to be scattered and well done. They came out undercooked and like a noodle. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Great service and food. Quick clean and friendly. Not to be missed. Ask for well done hash browns with peppers and onions!

Eggs over easy on top of chili on top of has browns.

Looks can be deceiving. Yes, nearly all Waffle House establishment look the same. Unfortunately they look like they were built in the 1950s and have not been updated...crowded, dingy, and not shabby-chic. Bathroom in this one...same thing...looks just don't cut it. But my grandson wanted to come here for a waffle (IHOP across the street was jammed, so this was our second choice). Onto the good part. Service (as usual...we have been here before) was swift and polite. Waitress was especially gracious to my "guest." Food was cooked exactly as ordered and delivered to our table quickly. My Eggs over easy on top of Bert's chili on top of has browns was spot on!. Nice size portion, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. Grandson't waffle was ok....a little thin, but perfectly fine with him. His bacon was also done nicely crisp (and 3 big strips to boot). All-in-all, while I won't be a regular, if you are looking for an old fashioned quick-serve greasy spoon (no slight intended) with excellent service...give it a try. Addendum: small parking lot is not easy to exit cross-traffic onto Murfreesboro Rd, so better plan on just turning right out of the lot and heading East-SE.

American classic. If you're on the road or it is late at night, this place screams out, "a little bit of home." We had the peanut butter waffle and bacon. It was perfect! Also had the pork chops with eggs and hash-brown potatoes. Added chopped tomatoes and ham to the potatoes. Delicious. Pork chops were great. They reminded me of grandmas cooking. Friendly staff too; they're always smilin'. If you see a Waffle House on your trip, don't pass it by; enjoy the food like we did. Thanks for the good eats, Waffle House!

I see a lot of complaints on here, but our experience couldn't have been better! Went to a late night movie and wanted dinner after so decided to try the WH. Sat at a booth immediately and the waitress was quick and really nice. Food came out super fast and was ummmm ummmm delicious. It's like you know what you're shoveling into your face isn't good for you, but you just don't care cause it's so tasty! We will be back some other late night for sure.

Then....I saw that my review was a decade ago! (That was back when it was a little farther out of town and in a smaller place. So, I came back, anew, to enjoy again. Hands down, this is a friendly establishment with a staff that is welcoming, polite, helpful...and ready to serve you. The interior is open and sports a nostalgic look with large tables accompanied by old (but sturdy) mismatched, carved-high back chairs. Yes, you can sit by yourself, but if it's busy....scoot over and invite a new friend to join you. Most tables seat 6 or 8 -- more "communal" style in a sense. Step up to the counter and order from the solid, albeit mundane, menu: eggs to order, meat side, potatoes, biscuit & toast...gravy if you like. They'll bring it to your table. Nothing fancy. My wife's eggs were scrambled, but not fluffy....rather flat like an unfilled omelet. My over easy eggs were close to perfection and oozed a rich yolk sauce on my deep fried potato cake. Yes, I would have preferred authentic hash browns or "home fries". But this worked for the occasion. Biscuits were buttery and tender. Coffee - average. Sausage patty appeared to be cut from a commercial roll - fried well and tasty. My wife's bacon was absolutely to her liking (hard to get right sometimes). But her's was spot on: very crisp, not burned. Lots of grab and go sandwiches for sale....check out other reviews and photos. Before you leave, pick up a couple of fried pies. (Ten yeara ago I had the peach - yummy. This timr we took home both apple and cherry. Slightly - not overly sweet fillings and a great afternoon treat. Dough was slightly different this visit. (You can see that in my pics...if Yelp still has them available.) As for the "Market" aspect of the name....that is a bit of a mystery - not a lot of market goods were readily visible. Oh!...be careful parking. The unmarked "street side" parking is tight and cars can come barreling down Hill Street. There is apparently more parking on the back side (towards downtown area). All-in-all the vibe was a bit like my Grandma's Country Store (1940-50s) a place where I was born and raised...friendly, comforting, congenial. And, a return for lunch is in order - the menu sounds inviting ... I hope another 10 years doesn't pass before I make it back for that. PS: very clean restrooms available too.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by one of the sweetest hosts, who made us feel genuinely welcome. We had made a reservation, and our table was ready immediately, making for a smooth and stress-free start to our meal. I would highly recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance--two days if you're visiting on a weekend or during peak travel times. It was clear this place is popular, and for good reason. Our server, Cody, truly made the experience unforgettable. Hands down, he is the best server I've ever had anywhere. He took the time to thoroughly walk us through the menu, explain the daily specials, answer all of our questions, and offer recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire dining experience. We ordered the pancakes, omelets, and of course, the famous biscuits. The biscuits absolutely deserve the hype! They were warm, buttery, fluffy, and practically melted in your mouth. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the omelets were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. One thing I really appreciated is that while Loveless Cafe offers a supper menu in the evenings, breakfast is served all day. That's perfect for anyone like me who believes breakfast tastes good no matter what time it is! It's easy to see why Loveless Cafe has become such a Nashville staple. Between the warm Southern hospitality, outstanding service, and incredible food, this was an experience we'll be talking about long after breakfast. If you're visiting Nashville, or even if you're a local who hasn't been yet, put Loveless Cafe at the top of your list. And if you're lucky enough to have Cody as your server, you're in for an exceptional experience!

Even sampling some of their famous country ham from Toby's plate was a memorable experience. I only wish I had a bigger stomach because the portions are just so massive here. The server couldn't have been nicer. He was even the one to suggest to us that he preferred the pork chops over the ham. That was such a good choice to me. Sadly, we didn't have coffee this morning because we had a long scenic drive and didn't want to make any more stops than necessary. But I bet he would've been right on the ball with those refills. The ambiance was great. It was such a nice layout and had interesting decor that made you feel you were a guest at their house. It also had that perfect occupancy where you could tell how popular they were but not so crowded you had to wait for a table. I'm definitely coming back here next time I'm in Tennessee because this place is a great find.
