We had a great time at waffle House in Simpsonville. I ordered the senior breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. My husband ordered the same with side of bacon, and our friends ordered grits, waffles, bacon, and more. This is really good food served nice and hot by a great wait staff. Our booth was comfortable and clean, and the only drawback was the jukebox playing, which is too loud for the old folks. We highly recommend Waffle House! read more

The Waffle House on Grandview Dr in Simpsonville SC has been my go to place for nearly 30 yrs. The food quality is fine and consistent. The servers are hardworking and always friendly and are one of the main reasons I go to WH. Recently one of the servers with Nearly 30 yrs there was put on suspension by one of the young supervisors. The waitress is excellent. I have no idea why the supervisor suspended her but I suspect it was personal conflict. I have seen these young supervisors strut around and dictate to employees. With the recent price increases at WH and employees that are like family being driven off , we will just go to the many other options to eat in Simpsonville. Sad! read more

Waffle House lines interstates in the Southeast, and with COVID-19 closing dining rooms at fast food restaurants, we opted for the Simpsonville location on a road trip. This is an older Waffle House, and the building itself needs a little TLC. Like all Waffle Houses, it has that classic waffle pattern (checkered) decor, a jukebox, and chatty, down home, blue-collar staff. We had omelets for lunch. For $6-7, you get an omelet, a side of hash browns, and toast or a grilled biscuit. With the rising prices of fast food, I feel like I'm ripping Waffle House off. Blueberry waffles are seasonal and one of my other favorites at Waffle House. Whether you want a meal on the road (with easy access to/from the interstate), breakfast for dinner, or some grub to soak up a hangover, Waffle House is the place to be. read more

The staff & food is really great! Friendly. Fast. Fun. And they get their job done quickly & correctly. The location is a bit smaller than most we've seen around the southern states. And the one negative (why the lost star) - the smell permeating from the restrooms was really terrible. If we had a queasy stomach, there's no way we could have eaten - it was THAT bad! read more

Waffle House is great if you find a good one. If you want great food come after 2pm the 2nd shift crew is awesome. I joke and tell my wife it's her favorite restaurant. I love the Double Patty Melt with a over easy egg. Wife lives for the All Star and the Cheese steak omelette. It's good any time but better after 2 pm. read more

A Waffle House is a Waffle House right? Well, decor, atmosphere and such are all the same. We walked in to this location and it was clean, it was busy, but it was well staffed. This is probably the cleanest Waffle House I have been in and I've been in plenty. All the staff was friendly, they had regulars walking in and everyone was laughing and carrying on. OMG Folks ,I haven't experienced a Disaster like this in Years. Well, after waiting for the Updated Waffle House to Open, last Night we went back and Boom what a Sad Place we walked In/Out of!!! Two People were running the Place, Yes ONLY Two, One Cook and One Waitress. All of the Tables had Leftovers/Dishes that had not been Cleaned/Cleared. The look on the Poor Waitress Face told me all I needed to Know. We turned around and left. If You are going to OPEN, Please, have enough STAFF to actually Run the Place. Terrible to see so much trash/food lying on tables and expect anyone would actually want to Eat there!!!LOL!!! Not US for Sure!!! came here for breakfast before work during hurricane relief we had a sweet lady who took great care of us a few days in a row I can't remember names but her and the man cook who wore eye makeup worked the night shift into the morning. Everything was good other than the way he was talking and interacting with her. One of the guys at our table requested jalapeños with his bowl and since the guy on the grill ran to the back any chance he got she quickly grilled a few jalapenos and got it to her guest. When the man got back to the grill he scolded her for doing it and began to discuss pay in front of the entire restaurant stating that she only makes $2 an hour with a very snarky tone. it was very unprofessional and she was so sweet and understanding stating, "I'm sorry I'm just running on fumes". If I was the owner I'd find another cook doesn't treat other employees this way. On the other hand I would give this sweet lady any shift she requested because she was so tentative to all her guests and very professional. read more

This is possibly the worst waffle house I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot of them. I walked in the place at 5:45 AM. Nobody greeted me there was nobody there to cook nobody to pour a cup of coffee. Just a couple of local boys sitting at the bar. Finally the cook or somebody emerged from the back. Still no coffee. Still no menu. The worst service of any waffle house I've ever been to. I walked out of the place at 5:57 AM, with no one, having even spoken to me, or looked at me as if I had money in my pocket to spend on grits and eggs. I do not recommend this one. read more

My daughter and I went to the New Waffle House in Simpsonville. Well lets just say it was a sad day. They were short staffed, literally 2 people- a cook and a waitress. We waited 20 minutes to even get waited on and on top of that, finally when our order arrived at the table it was wrong. I said something to the staff and OH DEAR LORD this lady went coo coo for coco puffs. Literally started fussing at me and my child. It was not our fault that the NEW WAFFLE HOUSE in Simpsonville can't keep staff. I was not at all upset as I asked to please correct our orders......but wow. They say 24 hours however, my family and I (And several others) were parking/waking up when one male employee came to lock the door. and when a few of the guests were leaving they were unable To walk out due to the locked door and the male employee not giving a reason as to why he was locking people in or out. Then once the folks leaving unlocked the door did a female employee come to the door to prevent anyone else from entering in, and responding "they are closed" when asked by one of the hungry guests and she locked the door. UPDATE THE HOURS. If you're closed be closed but done random lock the door without any note on the door telling anyone INSIDE the restaurant or outside of it. read more

I've been to a lot of Waffle Houses over the years, but this one is definitely the BEST one so far. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by all the staff. The service was prompt and the atmosphere made me feel right at home! The morale was high amongst all the employees and the food was served exactly as ordered. Even though the restaurant is older, it was spotless and the staff were cleaning whenever they had a minute's downtime. I highly recommend this Waffle House and will definitely be back ASAP! read more

People make fun of the WH. But I don't know anyplace else that is consistent like the WH. Everything is good and fast. I recently tried the new bowl. It was awesome. Worst Waffle House I've ever been to! I usually eat at Waffle Houses a lot since I travel a lot for work all the time. Sat for about 15 minutes before the very rude waitress finally came and took our order (for drinks)... got our drinks... a good while later she came to get our order for food... Food came out COLD by the time they brought it out Had to ask for a drink refill after waiting a good while with out her coming to check on us.. got a very rude response.. seems like she just didn't want to attend us.. since we weren't getting any attention, and her other tables were. I don't know if the COLOR OF OUR SKIN had something to do with it, but she certainly made it seem that way My 3 friends and I were all missing one thing from each of our orders.. Finally we get up to pay... waiting game again.. 10+ minutes for her to come charge us.. my friend asks her to remove the items that weren't served from our bill, one of the cooks RUDELY tells him to "GO SIT DOWN and they will bring out the waffle.. or just leave without getting the waffle and I will pay for your order.." HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Wishing 0 stars was an option honestly. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy lol read more

In the south, Waffle Houses are everywhere. I've been to a lot of them. However, the Simpsonville Waffle House has the friendliest staff I've encountered. They work hard, and always get my order correct. My server checks regularly to see if everything's OK. I highly recommend this particular Waffle House. read more
