This place ROCKS! Let's talk Food. Their menu is the standard Waffle House fare, but you can tell that they care about doing it right. Crispy waffles (unless you want them soft!), properly cooked steak and eggs. Even the toast is good. You can't go wrong with an Allstar here! Now, I've been to probably a hundred or so Waffle House restaurants across the South (lots of highway travels), but this one - number 1103 - is the best I've ever seen. The place is clean, man, and not usually too loud (although after the clubs close, it's a little spirited!) Unless you show up at breakfast on the weekend, there's usually plenty of seating and parking - but be warned, you can miss the entrance if you're not paying attention. The Mercedes dealership shares the entrance, so that's a good place marker! As far as the staff goes - what can I say? Top notch cooks in "T", Mississippi, Carlos and Henry. All of them rock! The servers are excellent as well: Sabrina, Taylor, Janera - these are the names that I remember - all of them are AWESOME (And I know Awesome - I have a gift for that!) I hadn't been to Waffle House since probably the 90s. We had relatives in Florida, and in the 80s, we'd go by car via I-10 to Miami. We were on the road on Christmas Day. And most restaurants were closed. Yesterday, as I was headed home on I-10, I saw a Waffle House. I was hungry and decided to make a stop. It was noon and packed. There were two parties before me. I opted to sit at the bar. The place is small and hard to get to. I thought there would be an entrance off I-10, but there's not. I looked at the menu. It's simple. One side is breakfast. Flip it over and you have lunch/dinner options. While I wanted to try the waffle, I was craving something salty. I ordered scrambled eggs, grits and toast. The menu prices include tax. That is great. The total was $6.50. Eggs are fresh. The griddle is right in front of you. I saw Simply Orange Juice products. Not bad! I won't judge my breakfast as you can't go wrong with eggs and toast. If you like a quiet ambiance, this place is not for you. The music was loud. I'll try a waffle next time which is what the place is known for. read more

Each visit to this location has been pleasant. Service is always great. I don't frequent often but when in the area and am in the mood for an All Star I definitely stop in. Usually it's when guest are in town LoL. You know when Your guest come in town its something about the early a m waffle house run. Walked into this Waffle House on a random Friday and got the warmest welcome! The food is exactly what you've come to know and expect from Waffle House! But the service and the people who work here are so kind. Our server was so nice and spent time talking to us it really felt like we were welcomed into her home. Was debating between Brother's or Waffle House while I took care of some things on my phone. Asked Siri to flip a coin and when she picked Waffle House twice, I figured it was a sign. I was warmly greeted with a smile by the gentleman working the grill and then received a warm welcome from Sabrina, my waitress. My food came out perfect and I was thoroughly entertained by some guests who were going through a rough patch, talking about, "I was curving him for a long time. Now I finally agree to hang out and all of a sudden he loves me." When those guests left, Sabrina looked at me and said, "that's the way the waffle BURNS, baby!" Today at 5:35pm Tuesday September 9th 2025 at the waffle house off hwy 6 next to the top golf. We had the absolute pleasure of our cook Carlos, be the best cook ive ever been around. He was polite, funny, and witty but most importantly he was doing everything he could to make our meal the best. I know all the ingredients at all the different Waffle House locations are the same. I've been to this location several time in the past and it was always pretty good until this last time (Nov. 2020). The cook did not cook my scrambled eggs good, I asked for a light waffle and it wasn't cook thoroughly and to top it off. One of the employees kept screaming about not wanting to to keep her mask on. She literally kept taking it off and telling everyone around her that she doesn't have Corona! After a long 10-day Cruise in the Caribbean the last thing I wanted was Waffle House. The ship had more waffles than I could stand, but it was quick and off of the interstate. I looked at the reviews and was surprised by the recent low stars. Our experience was positive as we were greeted immediately upon entry and found our table. Our waitress (sad that I didn't get her name) *sweet Hispanic lady* came over immediately and took our drink and entree orders. While we waited I took notice of the Teamwork behind the counter. An efficient team stocking utensils, cleaning the grill, greeting customers as well as a worker sweeping and mopping. I rarely eat at the Waffle House, one because some locales are not to my cleaning standards with the constant customers and two because the service can be a bit sub par. Happily I can state this experience was the best experience at a Waffle House in at least 20 years. I agree with the other positive reviews that I read. The food came out quickly, our food was accurate and delicious and our waitress was amazing. I enjoyed my waffles and my hash browns had onions and cheese added to it. The babe ordered the All American breakfast with pecan waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and grits. Hands down a tasty meal, a great harmonious crew and a definite recommended stop... There are waffle houses all over the city and this one happens to be in the route I was taking that day and I was hungry. Even though it was after 12, I was in the mood for breakfast. This one sits back and behind the Mercedes dealership and if you aren't careful you will pass it up. It's just basic breakfast and waffles for me as I usually don't try anything else. We're visiting from Portland, Oregon and we told the waitress we were going to downtown Houston. She told us about things to do for the whole family to have fun in that area. Whenever I visit Houston I have to stop for breakfast at this particular Waffle House as I leave town. Yesterday I visited again. I was greeted by the cooks and various staff, and they really made me feel welcome with smiles and good eye contact. It's wonderful to be able to watch the kitchen staff cook food right in front of you, it gives me confidence that I'll be eating something prepared correctly. Perfectly over-easy egg, toasty has browns, buttery toast, and a generous waffle, plus coffee was about $11.00. As I was paying, my waitress asked if I'd like another coffee in a to-go cup for my 3 hour drive home. What a buncha sweethearts! Their friendliness and attentiveness was even better than the food. Every time I've entered a Waffle House anywhere, the staff always shouts out a friendly "Good Morning!" Love that. What I really appreciate about Waffle House is: (a) they're always open - since we cannot cook at home yet thanks to our post-Harvey flooding, we visited this location for take-home Christmas morning breakfast. The place was packed. I really appreciated the fact that these people were working so my family and I could enjoy a great Christmas breakfast. Believe me, I expressed my thanks in my tip. (b) The food is plentiful and good. Eggs are always perfect (over medium for me). I love the fact that you can customize your hash browns - add grilled onions for me, please. Bacon is the perfect degree of crisp. (c) The cooks at Waffle House have an impressive system. The kitchen is wide open to the dining room. It's fun to watch these guys. Put me back there and you'd have a cluster - these guys are true professionals. Since Christmas we've visited this location several times and we will be back several times more. Waffle House is usually a known quantity, but what sets the redtaurants apart is service. This particular Waffle House is ran super efficiently. I had the Texas Patty Melt plate for breakfast and not only was it delicious, but it was prepared quick and i was able to pay quick, just all very organized and fast. Oh and did I mention it was during the Sunday morning rush ? The tables were full and people kept pouring in, and the service was STILL great ! I wish they all ran this smoothly! read more

This location is awkwardly placed. If you miss your entrance you will have to go back underneath the freeway and U-turn. If you're familiar with Waffle House, then you know they all look the same and are all cozy with a shabby/dingy decor. You don't come here to enjoy the ambiance, which I think makes sense. J-Money is a fantastic server. I love the fact that the food is made to order directly in front of you and you can watch it come out. If you're making changes on the fly, you can have the cooks change those orders right then and there through the server. My only complaint is that apparently they're now under corporate management. So the prices have now gone up by one or two dollars on some of the fan favorites. Like the All-Star which used to be $7.25 or something like that is now $9.75. The food was still delicious. The staff was still funny, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I spent a little more than I'm accustomed to spending at Waffle House, but I blame Corporate. read more

Oh, forgive me Houston for never having gone to this place before. We were in search of a Denny's or IHOP, but decided to give a Waffle House a try. What I liked about it was that the food was cheap, tasty, and it came out quick. You could see the cooks making the food and they would interact with you on such a friendly level. The cooks made the place and could be tipped. We didn't have cash, usually our tips our via credit card, so that made me sad. I would have given him one. The place is small, but you'll notice from the onset it's a homey, friendly, nonpretentious place where everyone is treated as if they entered a second home. Now, it should be noted that the place is small, but it seemed it was easy for people to come in and out, due to how fast they were. There was construction around the restaurant, that made entering the parking lot a bit of a maze, but you'll get in if you drive around the perimeter and enter the first driveway you find. Also as the name suggests there is literally nothing healthy here. However, when you eat delicious chocolate chip waffles, pecan waffles, and buttery toast, you kinda forget things like calories. I will probably do my best to avoid this place before my wedding due to the calories. Otherwise, oh my goodness, the tastiness is worth all the calories. read more
