Unbelievable how fast the steak and eggs hit the table. Food was fresh as all get out! The service was with a smile from both employees present, on the day before Easter. We got there and it was full. There was a family of 7 waiting in front of us. A table cleared and the waitress told me and my 3 members to sit at the booth. We did. Then the manager with orange cap approached us and told us that there was a family before us. I told her the waitress with pink mask sat us down. This lady didn't even apologize for the inconvenience she caused. If she's the manager she has to know how to approach me and not have an attitude with it. My waiter was great and the food was good. This restaurant is very racist toward black people. Every time I come into this particular Waffle House I am met with horrible customer service. I wait for over 10 minutes every time before someone comes to take my order. My food is always burnt and has to be recooked. The waitresses never check on me, but check on their non black customers. Today I wanted to place a to go order. The white cashier refused to take my order and said I had to order online. Even though when you call it says you can order in the store. After telling the cashier several times that I had no cellular service she was still trying to make me order online. The cook mike identified himself as the manager and refused me service as well and never tried to accommodate me as a customer. He then threatened to call the police on me for telling him that if I had been white he would have no problem taking my order. Well, starts out it takes more than 5 minutes for a waitress to walk over to us. She didn't ask if we wanted drinks. After a few moments of silence I told her what we wanted. Not real hard, 1sweet tea, 1water and 1 unsweetened tea. Several minutes later, with no drinks on hand, she comes to take our orders. My daughter and I wanted exactly the same thing, the all star, exactly the same. Husband got all star but different waffle and bread. We all got sausage. Another several minutes then our drinks were finally brought. My tea was warm with 1 ice cube floating in it, melting fast. About that time, something bit my arm!!! Ants, ants all over the end of the table by the window. I was a little loud about it and the waitress comes over with a cloth and wipes the ants off the table (into my lap) and says "oh those are sugar ants" to hell they were. Biting little suckers. So now the ants are dead (until the next group pop up) we were NOT offered another table or apologies or anything. I would have just moved but the place was pretty full. Then she brings our waffles, no butter. I finished my waffle before our eggs were brought to table, all three served with white toast, even though we asked for raisin. No jelly. No sausage! We let the waitress know. She said it's coming right up. In the mean time she said our raisin bread would be right out too. I finish eggs and hash browns and bread finally arrives. Waffle House is so authentic. Out waitress here was so sweet and caring. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle with eggs , it was super cheap $5 value meal. My sorbet ordered the waffle with a side of eggs, sausage, and bacon. This was her first time here and she loved it . I was worried she wouldn't like it because she is an upscale women who likes fancy places. But she really enjoyed her meal. This is my Waffle House location of choice. Sure, there's one that's a little closer to where I live but this location definitely outperforms the other. It recently went through a renovation though it looks exactly the same as it did before. That's not to say that it's a bad thing. There's something to be said about consistency. And that's exactly what I get from this Waffle House location. Parking is ample. I've never had any issue in finding a spot here. If there is a wait to be seated, it usually isn't very long. The staff are friendly and the food is consistently good. I love to order the waffle, hash browns, and sausage. The coffee is decent. I really feel like you get a good value at the Waffle House. It's a no frills sort of place but if you're looking for ambiance, you can read some of my other reviews to find those places. All in all, I can't complain. read more

My first visit to this location the restaurant was fairly empty at 8 PM on this Thursday night so I had my choice of seats. I chose the corner table facing the breakfast bar and front door knowing that Waffle House attracts people from all walks of life and can be quite entertaining. Well I really didn't come here for a show since I had just checked into my hotel and had already returned my rental car this was one of about (3) restaurant choices within walking distance and was going to be my first meal of the day. The employees were enjoying some downtime but my server immediately approached my table with a warm greeting and took my drink order. After looking over the plastics coated menu for several minutes i placed my order, Ham and cheese omelette with a side of country ham after reassuring my server I didn't want hash-browns, grits or toast she placed my order with the short order cook who appeared to be a seasoned veteran of the flat top. My breakfast dinner arrived after only a few minutes the omelette was somewhat fluffy filled with cubed ham and processed cheese with a side of what Waffle House refers to as "city ham" sliced as thin a possible, when I reminded my server that I had ordered "country ham" she told me she would talk to the "chef". It wasn't a deal breaker so I started enjoying my freshly cracked egg omelette she promptly returned to tell me the "chef" said that was the "country ham" they had today I started to ask for an order of "city ham" to make my point but I figured that would be pointless. Nothing horrible here just be sure to be clear when ordering, upon bringing my check she also brought me a cup of coffee to go without being asked I still wonder which customer didn't get theirs. I'm very surprised they haven't been shut down by the Health Department. Sludge in the vents, roach crawling on the dirty floor while people attempt to eat. Nasty, condiment bottles. Sub-par food. It had been years since I visited a Waffle House, I'm talking 8-10 years. But I was really craving a big messy breakfast. This location was the closest to me, and I really did not even know it was here until I searched Waffle House on Yelp. I had the All Star Special and it was pretty good. The food did not disappoint. What did disappoint was the dirty floors, the small space, and the lack of organization in finding seats for waiting people. I also encountered two very rude customers here that blocked my turn in sitting, but I won't blame Waffle House for that. I think everyone was ordering the waffles, because mine didn't come until halfway through the rest of my meal. I had the hash-browns, covered and smothered. They were the best thing there. My over medium eggs were cooked correctly. Everything was good except for the delays in getting my waffle, getting coffee refills, the dirty environment, and the disorganized seating arrangements. Worst Waffle House Ever. Nobody greeted me or asked to be seated. I've gone to this Waffle House various times and there is always a problem. The waitress act like they don't even want to be there. They are constantly arguing with other coworkers as in who gets what table. They are constantly in the back laughing or on their phones. My son was pretty upset when we left. But I had already been waiting for 25 minutes for a table to be cleaned. While 3 were open but dirty. Waffle House is famous for being the place where Kid Rock brawled with someone, what Roddy White has to have before games so the 'grease can wake him up,' and for their stupid good hash browns. And their waffles. Only flub - we ordered waffles, they forgot about it, we canceled 'em. Service here is super great, super friendly, even on a holiday. Stupid cheap, cheaper than Denny's and IHOP. A large group of girls, some wearing almost nothing walk in and I don't notice - NYR - be a better boyfriend. I'm eating toast, eggs, a pork chop, and dig into my half of the hash brown and when it hits my mouth, I scoop the rest of my hash browns over to her plate (amazing boyfriend) so I can now check and see if that girl is seriously not wearing a bra. And that's how good those hash browns were. So good. I don't come to these places often. The forks and knives were a little...bumpy and gross. I know better than to ask. I know what I'm in for. But with hash browns like that and the unmistakable and potent scent of waffle-making in the air, this was a worthy first meal of 2013. read more

We had missed our connection thru IAH and had to stay near by at the Sleep Inn before flying out on the first flight in the AM. My group of 4 was starved and we walked to the Waffle House. By no means were we expecting Top Notch service at 11 pm on a Sunday but we sure received it. When we first walked it the entire restaurant was filled with a boy's soccer team. There was one table that was not bused yet and a small group of the boys gave up their table for us and they ate at the counter. Our server was Mels (although her worn out name tag said Vels). She along with the un-named cook made my evening. Mels let us know right away that it would be awhile for us to get our food because of the team. We were in no hurry so she got us our drinks and wait for the cook to catch up on the orders. The cook was more like an Iron Chef and he blazed thru those orders. I was truly impressed. There was another waiter there (I think Mels called him Steve) but he was pretty much useless and didn't do anything to help. In fact after the team cleared out and some intoxicated people came in, this waiter kicked tehmout for being intoxicated even though they did nothing but having the munchies. Eggs good, biscuits and gravy good, bacon good, sausage good, hashbrowns good, steak decent but cooked well. If I ever go back to this Waffle House, I can only hope that Mels and the same cook are there. read more

Kira was our server and she was so sweet! Normally I hate Waffle House but I'm from Arizona and they're all horrible there! However this Waffle House's food was delicious! Bacon was super crispy and not thin and wilted, scrambled eggs were real and not that weird packaged eggs stuff lol and my waffles were light and fluffy! They weren't over cooked and hard! The manager could have been a little more professional. She practically yelled at our server in front of us to pick up our plates... Kira was in the process of taking another tables order and the manager could have told her off to the side to do it after she was done... oooooorrr done it herself and have been an actual manager. ‍ because TEAM WORK makes the dream work buuuut that's just my opinion. read more

When you're looking for waffles this is ultimately going to be the first place you're going to want to stop I love the blueberry there syrup is warm always served fresh if you want pancakes or waffles you're looking to hit the spot they are huge I wasn't even able to finish one but the price is very good and it's a very convenient location. In the waffle house is located right off of the highway so anyone coming from the north side of town can just exit and go to or coming from the southside they have a wide variety and their coffee is always fresh I really appreciate the waffle house for staying open so late and always being there and my late hours when I need a waffle. read more

Come for the food and not the service and you'll be fine. I picked up my parents from the airport and was in the area early so I decided to have dinner the Waffle House. Real close to the airport, your only other options are Jack in the Box and Sonic so it really is a culinary oasis. I sat down and it took around five minutes for anyone to great me. When my waitress stopped by my table, she didn't say hello or how are you. She just looked at me. Awkward but I went ahead and ordered. My drink didn't arrive until she brought my food. Meanwhile, she's complaining out loud to her coworkers about bad tipping. Before I left, another table tipped 20 cents on a $20 bill. That's pretty bad. Actually, that's really bad. I won't tip less than 15% unless it's a complete disaster and that's what I did. I would recommend that the waitress actually makes an effort to provide some decent service rather than complaining. Waffle House is a casual restaurant so all I want is to be greeted promptly, my drink to arrive soon after, and to check up on me as appropriate. But really, the food is what we all care about. The Waffle House, in addition to their waffles, is also known for their hash browns. You can get them topped with a whole variety of things including cheese, ham, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. I got the chicken bacon club which comes on Texas toast with hash browns with cheese and ham.
