This is the best Waffle House we have ever been to. Great service, well cooked food, and so clean. I wish we got the names of our waitress and the man cooking because they were both great and deserve a shout out. They were friendly and attentive, even while busy. Our go-to orders were cooked perfectly. My husband likes the bacon patty melt, and I get a two egg breakfast. Can't go wrong! They are closed for indoor dining 8:30 PM-6 AM, but you can order pickup still. They said this applies to certain locations now. read more

I love how most of the reviews are like "this place is great, 3 stars." Give me a break, this is the "fancy" Waffle House in Huntsville. I mean, if you're expecting a fancy brunch you're going to be disappointed. But for what it is (despite limited parking and it's usually quite busy), it's fantastic. How could you not love a WH? They serve you love 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This location is a little understaffed as of last visit (hello, pandemic?) but the staff they have is great. They're nice, they get your order right (or mine always has been), and the food is as good as any other Waffle House. Which means, for my money, it's freaking fantastic. Hashbrowns are always delightfully crisp, bacon isn't floppy, toast is never burnt, coffee is weak but it's weak at every WH, and they know how to properly cook eggs. I've had far more expensive brunches (looking at you La Esquina Cocina) that couldn't even serve me non-runny egg whites. l love you WH. read more

First time I've been to an Awful house and was told they weren't serving. Was told somebody would be with me in 30 minutes. I thought I misheard the guy. Then I thought he was joking. The Pratt Avenue Waffle House is simply one of the best Waffle House's in the Huntsville area! My friends and I have made it a tradition to come to this Waffle House every Thursday, but sometimes it doesn't work out with out schedules. If we haven't been back at this WH in a few weeks, the workers will ask us where we've been and that they missed us because we always manage to make their day/night! A lot of memories have been made at this Waffle House and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. The food every-time my friends and I come to this WH is always delicious and to be honest, I believe it's excellent customer service when they can remember your order. Whats not to like about WH? I placed a to go order at their "bar" for a group who was about to make a 4 hour trip. Service was friendly though slow. And they forgot the coffee I paid for. Note to self: always check the bag before leaving. Another item was missing from the order and it wasn't a deal breaker. I think it was a side of bacon. They could put a little more effort in their quality assurance/customer service to ensure you get what you ordered. I had to laugh, though, because one of the servers (a guy) was hysterical while calling out the orders to the line cooks. Give this guy a reality show, he has a lot of flair and made me laugh. It was worth that fun to sacrifice the missing bacon. Glad this waffle house is convenient to my sorority sister's apartment. Months ago I applied for a job and the parking lot had higher-than-a-kite group of employees looking like a motley crew. Since I don't smoke dope or own a Harley, I was not given any interview. The guy that scheduled me for a Saturday interview did not show up and never called me back. When I walked in and saw the filth, I knew I'd never eat there in a million years. Yesterday, staff contacted me for an interview and this one walked past me, no acknowledgement, strolled on by with an attitude. I told her to contact me when she ditches judgments. I don't have blue or pink hair, my nose is not pierced, and I have no tattoos so I obviously do not qualify working there. Now, I looked at the filth still there, 85 health score on the wall. I don't eat fried roach, waffles with a side of baked rat so I will NEVER eat here. I don't recommend this place for my worst enemy. They do not want dependable staff, aren't interested in any upgrades obviously since the staff currently refuses to clean the store to raise the health score. They are happy floundering in this swamp. I recommend you dine in any other Waffle House with better staff and more cleanliness, higher health scores. No one deserves to drink D-Con while eating baked varmint. One star is too many for this place. I recommend you find a healthier, cleaner, well run Waffle House, not this one. read more

Stopped in because my wife wanted breakfast on a Thursday morning. I ordered the 2 cheeseburgers and hash browns (I didn't want breakfast). The food came out rather quick but my hash browns were cold. I gave it back to the server and it came back out a couple minutes later but by then the cheeseburgers were cold. The cheese couldn't even melt because they were too cold. Very bad food. Couldn't wait to leave. If your in the area, definitely find another place for breakfast. They were lucky enough to get 2 stars only due to the server (Charo) She was awesome. The food sucked! read more

Let us not take for granted the wonder of a decent place to eat, right in our neighborhood and walking distance from downtown, that is OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY, 365 days a year. The staff here are friendly and the service is great. These folks have always provided a solid meal (at all of the weird times I've been there!) and they actually have the best sausage gravy in town, if breakfast gravy is your thing. I usually choose to dine out at locally-owned establishments, and when it comes to brunch on weekends we do have some great options in Huntsville. But for a basic weekday sit-down breakfast, the Old Town/Pratt Waffle House is hard to beat. read more

This is THE best Waffle House in Huntsville. Every single person on the staff is super friendly and super attentive. My bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit came out super hot and fresh, it was awesome. My coffee was always kept filled to the brim and I forgot to order hash browns and I told our nice server that and she had them out within 5 minutes and didn't even charge me. This has to be the worst experience at a Waffle House. The employees were continuously yelling at each other, cursing at each other, and causing inappropriate disruption of the whole restaurant. This is one of the filthiest waffle houses we have been in, and we have been in waffle houses in south Alabama. It's only been open for a year. Every thing you touch is greasy. We sat at the counter and one of the servers was hand washing dishes and splashing water on our food. There was drama with the staff complaining about each other to the customers.
