FINALLY!!! I finally went to a Waffle House restaurant for the very first time. Had never been to any Waffle House location until we came here, and there are over 1900 locations in the U.S.A. On our drive to Tennessee from Atlanta, I kept seeing signs for Waffle House. Seemed like almost all the exits had these restaurants. Decided to exit the freeway, and we ended up at this location in Kennesaw, Georgia. What a great decision!! The customer service at this Waffle House restaurant was the BEST!! True Southern hospitality!! So sorry because I am drawing a blank on the young woman who helped us that morning. She was so nice to the 5 of us. She made our day!! Other staff members also made us feel welcome. We were all even given these cool liitle Waffle House hats for being first time WH visitors, and they took our photo too. We all sat at the counter so we got a great view of where they cook our food. Speaking of food, it was all delicious. We all cleaned up our plates. I got the Waffle and Hash Browns. Got to admit that was one of the best if not the best waffle that I've eaten at any restaurant ever before. Wifey shared her order with me too. The grits were yummy as was the bacon. Such an awesome experience at this Waffle House!! They've set the bar high for future visits to any of their other restaurants we go to. I love this waffle house! I came here on a sunday morning with some friends, we were seated very quickly and the food came out quick too. All of our orders came out perfect. No chunks in the grits and the waffles are fluffy and crunchy on the edges (perfect waffle in my opinion) Our waitress was kind and attentive. The kindest, most customer service Waffle House I have ever been to. This place was over the top good and the service just made me want to hug every last single one of the employees. These people were so nice. There was a sense of unity no matter color, age, or sex. I mean when you walk in you're immediately greeted. They are the first Waffle House that had a greeter, or one that I noticed. The food is always amazing! It's simple, it's good, it's consistent! Love love love this location. Flew into The ATL recently where an old buddy lives, and our plan was to drive up to Nashville the very next morning. I had told him a Waffle House visit was on my must-do list as I had never been. Whenever we told anyone that we always received a most incredulous reaction. Kind of like if someone here in SoCal said they had never been to In-N-Out before. You know - 'you poor deprived child you!' Kinda like that. When we were getting ready to hit the road I suggested we get a head-start before stopping, and he strongly objected. "There is only one location that I go to, and it's just down the street.' Just as he reported, the staff here are incredibly sweet and accommodating. Especially after I blurted out that it was my first time. Apparently they detected my excitement and one of them went to the back and fetched me a WH paper hat. And no, you can't have it! I half expected them to take my picture as confetti fell from the ceiling. What I didn't expect was how good the food was. I guess I was anticipating your typical bland chain diner quality food like Denny's. No siree. My pecan waffle was flavorful, tons of pecans, slightly crunchy on the outer and cloud-soft on the interior. Not an expert on grits, but loved those as well. Another surprise was how small their stores are. All that I saw were free standing and about the size of a med-large donut shop. BTW, they are every-damn-where in this part of the country. It seemed like every other freeway sign announced a nearby location. I just looked it up and there are 2,100 in 25 states, 132 in ATL alone. And no, none in CA, nearest locations are in Arizona. Waffle house is always the go to resturant after every late night event. Out of all the waffle houses I've been to, this one never fails to satisfy me. They are quick, attentive, and provides great customer service. The place is normally busy in the mornings til lunch and late nights. It's located right by Kennesaw State University. Parking is never an issue for me. The building itself is a good size. It has about 8 dining booths and a couple of high top chairs. The original menus are always placed by the condiments. They also do have a full menu, which includes a dollar menu but you have to ask it. They have so many options and the meals are affordable. I got the Texas bacon patty melt with hash browns chunked (added ham dices). It's delicious and filling, and it's under $10. Also if you go to KSU, you can get 10% off your whole meal ($5 min). read more

One of those days, when I wanted to swap my morning green smoothie for a greasy heart clogging breakfast. Grabbed my boyfriend and we went to eat. I ordered my usual pancakes, a veggie omelet and hash brown with sweet tea. My friend ordered his patty melt deluxe, fries and coffee. Food was fresh, sitting area was clean but sticky table tops, service was good too. Busy diner. I keep my expectations at a low level when going to greasy joints. The server did not understand a word I said, to her I probably spoke Gaelic as my friend got his order, and I am waiting on mine, nope no food for me. My friend too busy stuffing his mouth wondering why I was looking at him and shaking my head. Until he had the sense to ask the server " where is her order?", The lady a bit stout, white of course and grandma like, smiled, " what did you order, honey? I repeated myself in English and I noticed her eyes glazed over to my friend, hoping he would translate, which he did, I finally got my order but instead of an omelet I got scrambled eggs... Hmm! Going to Waffle House is the thing to do at least once a week. You can eat breakfast at anytime of the night. Although they serve lunch,I don't think I've ever eaten the lunch food. Waitress was rude, slow and had a bad attitude. We just left and went somewhere else to eat.

The sweetest waitresses/waiters there are. They get the orders right, most of the time, as long as you're not going in at like 5 in the morning. Their pork-chop dinner is amazing--great texture and taste. You can substitute toasts with biscuits, and vice versa. The hot chocolate is great and is the way to go in this season and weather. Their T-bone steak is decent. If you want a medium rare, ask for a medium. They're not always accurate when it comes to that. By far, one of the best WH I've been too. Went around 9pm. There were only one or two other customers there. Sat there for 15 minutes while two workers stood talking and not doing anything, and didn't get acknowledged at all. Walked out and they watched us leave without even saying anything or offering to try to serve us then. read more

I have a lot to say, I came here today the server with the purple matted hair was very rude and we asked for plastic utensils because the silver ones looked very dirty, she had an attitude and complained to us that she's not allowed to give it to us because it was costing the restaurant a lot of money. That is none of our business we are paying customers maybe more effort should go into cleaning the utensils and we wouldn't ask for plastic. Then they were speaking on an interracial couple that left the restaurant and the girl with the faded purple hair said another girl only likes white boys and the older white lady with short hair said "You know what I'm going to say" and then another person said we still have two customers still in here. She wanted to say more but she noticed two black customers were still in the restaurant. They were very unprofessional and I'm not sure if the purple girl just had an aggressive personality but it was very uncalled for, she acted like she was annoyed and didn't want to work. I am giving this Waffle House 5 stars because the servers are AMAZING! I never had to wait for a refill on my coffee, and my food was great! To be next to one of Georgia's biggest universities, they really keep their game up. No pun intended :) I would recommend this Waffle House over all others, so, if you're traveling and you want good food with good service and a smile, stop at this Waffle House. This is one of the better locations and it hit the spot for a lazy Sunday breakfast close to home. Of course they don't have the best omelets ever but for the price they are not bad. I love the hash browns with grilled onions and cheese, they have just enough grease and crisp. The best part of Waffle House is always the waffles. I haven't really come here often enough to write a good, solid review. Places like Waffle House is really a particular place you must come back to several times to REALLY get to know the place. The times I have been here, the service was a TRIP! Craziness, I tell ya. Tables and seats were dirty with crumbs. Silverware was questionable, so I always request for a cup of hot water for them to sit in, while we waited for our food. Food is of same quality, every time so no complaints there. The cooks make my covered, chunked, and peppered hash browns extra crispy, just how I like 'em. Listened to the CEO of Waffle House speak at the GT graduation recently, and since then, I can't help but remember that he always referred to it as THE Waffle House lol. Where do I start, this place has large pros but cons too Pros: friendly servers, in fact, I was a few dollars short, they gave me my biscuits free! And the food quality was amazing Service: eh, I've had better, but I've had worse. They were a tad bit slow, but not so slow it's like terrible. Nothing to complain about. I visited waffle house store 3340 Frey Rd Nw, Kennesaw, GA 30144 at 330am on my way to work at bank of America on Chastain near I-575. upon arrival the store was nasty, food and paper all over the floor. no tables available and 2 servers. the cook was very angry, throwing food and slamming plates. it took 15 minutes for someone to ask if I was assisted and then I still had to wait. once I got attention of a server I ordered and asked to pay because the line for people to checkout was long. my order was completed was told the store was out of plastic ware, I had to ask for napkins and condiments. now when I got to work to eat at 445am my start time is at 5am. my hash browns was burned and the raw onion throw on top.
