First time trying waffle house! Great dining experience. Loved the food and the atmosphere of the place.

Kids loving it!

I've never been to a Waffle House and now I wonder what took me so long! Simple yet delicious and definitely a fun experience. My friends and I went with our kids. There were 8 of us and we gladly sat the kids at a booth while we sat closely at the bar stools. The food was amazing. Obviously comes out hot right off the grill, really cool that you can sit at the bar area and watch them cook. Their teamwork is almost like a show to watch! Everybody is in a nice groove from the servers to the cooks. Kids loved the food, especially the waffles of course! I had a scramble bowl and the hash browns were really awesome. Anytime you have the opportunity to go to a Waffle house, don't pass it up! Definitely check it out! Service is impeccable.

The Allstar is all we ever order at Waffle House. We share and can't eat it all.

Is there ever a bad Waffle House. Since we are from California, we love to go to WH whenever we can. We always order the same thing and share it [with my wife]. Today was no different as we shared the Allstar with sausage patties, eggs, a waffle, toast and grits. Everything was delicious. The place was clean and so were the bathrooms. Our server was great. She was on top of our coffee Not every day you see a buggy full of ladies and kids riding along the street. Well it may be at this Waffle House.

Obsessed with this place!!! The staff work so quickly and efficiently and it's just a stellar operation... every time!!! If you want fancy, high priced food look elsewhere. If you want a good, home cooked meal, this is your spot. If you get creative, you can concoct a half way healthy meal... I had a sliced tomato and egg for breakfast but outside of an off menu creation, don't visit if you're counting calories! This location is always clean, fast and the prices are beyond reasonable! Where can you get biscuits and gravy for $3?!!! Or a T-bone steak meal for under $20?!! I think it's around $15! Try it! You'll like it! Double covered, double smothered!!!

Sausage Egg and Cheese Texas Melt with hash browns (with jalapeño)

It was about midnight when we arrived and we were a party of about 25 people. There were 2-3 workers and about 2 more parties already there. So lots of people. I applaud the workers here because despite it being so packed, everything came out as we ordered it, everything came out at a reasonable pace, and everything was delicious. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese Texas melt with hash browns and added jalapeño to them. The melt was ready good. The cheese was melted. The sausage was soft and meaty. The eggs were cooked to perfect. The toast was grilled perfectly. The hash browns were a bit crunchy in some parts but I didn't mind the different kinds of textures it had. Would highly recommend adding jalapeños (they weren't spicy, so don't worry!). If it's late, or early, and you're hungry, this is the place to go. The concept that I like about Waffle House is the open kitchen. It gives you more confidence your meal is being prepared in a sanitary way.

Okay, here's the scoop. I had a really awesome time at Waffle House recently, and let me tell you, it was off the charts! The food was absolutely delicious - I mean, those waffles were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly crispy. My taste buds were in heaven! And the service? Oh man, it was top-notch! The staff was super friendly, always there when we needed them. Now, here's where things got a bit crazy. We decided to hit up Waffle House after this wild party, hoping to satisfy our late-night cravings. But out of nowhere, a fight broke out between two customers. It was totally unexpected, but thankfully, the staff handled it like pros. Despite the unexpected drama, our Waffle House experience was still amazing. Great food, great service - just a little extra excitement to spice up the night, if you know what I mean! I didn't get any pictures of the food but I got a picture of the fight.

Walked in to a pretty packed Waffle House, as first timers. Was told the wait was 15 minutes for a booth for 2, we got our booth in less than 10. Server attended us right away, the food was brought out fast, fresh, and hot. Spent $23 on all of this food

This is a tiny spot with a lot of fans, so expect a wait!…read more My husband and I came here for brunch while staying in Lancaster - we were expecting to have to wait due to how busy it was on a Saturday morning, but we were amazingly able to be seated immediately (there were 2 last spots by the door). It's not the most comfortable place due to the size, but the smells and vibes are good, so it's worth checking out. I got the blue crab benedict with potatoes and my husband got the short rib tacos. Service was quick and we were overall impressed with the food! My one gripe is that they didn't have any fun coffee drinks, just black coffee from what I saw.

I started off today so excited to come here based on the reviews. As the service progressed I could…read moresee my review ticking lower and lower. And then we found a hair. And then they charged us full price. And that was the final nail. We made a reservation for a noon brunch on a Sunday, we knew it was going to be busy and we got seated right away, amazing! And then it was down hill from there. We were seated right by the bussing station, I was staring at dirty dishes my entire meal, at one point I was hit and I spilled my entire cup of coffee all over my table and lap and had to clean it up myself. The French press itself was border line in drinkable. The grounds were too finely ground causing there to be grit throughout the entire pitcher of French press. We each had about one mug each. The food came out and my over easy eggs were over medium at best, the entire bottom of the yolk was hard through to the middle. Only one biscuit got gravy. And then once my partner finished his eggs he found a long black hair under where the eggs were. Needless to say we were very much done with The Bread Pedaler by the time this happened. We let the waitress know. She brought the check, which still included the food we didn't eat because there was a hair in it. Not wanting to start anything we just paid (still tipped 20% because I'm not a jerk) and left. I wish this was the great review I was hoping to leave. I was so excited to eat here. But this was truly one of the worst experiences I've had in years.

Introduction:…read more Representing 2018 in alphabet series, O is for On Orange. The letter O only has 5 of the 8 possible years represented in the alphabet series. Interestingly, 2 of them are in Lancaster County, PA. This was prior to my parents moving to Lancaster in 2021. In March 2018, my girlfriend of that time & I took a day trip to Lancaster. I lived in Montgomery County, Maryland (near DC) at the time, and we were meeting up with a friend who was living in New Jersey kind of in the middle. We agreed to meet at On Orange at 12 PM on that Sunday, March 25 since we were driving from far away, and I think they were doing a day trip too, but possible they stayed a night in town, not sure. Also, On Orange closes at 1 PM too, so even more reason to be punctual. My g/f of then was notoriously late & took a long time to get ready. She was taking too long to get ready, and I knew we needed to leave if we even had a chance of making it on time. After a while I said I don't want to do this, but I will leave without you & meet my friend (& his girlfriend). I started the car and texted you have 1 minute to come out, and if you aren't out, I'm leaving without you. My timer reached 0, and I slowly was driving off, but I saw her shuffling with her coat and what have you leaving, so I waited. We got in the car, and I rushed off. If that weren't bad enough, my g/f said we needed to stop at her bank to get cash. Of course, there was none right within route, but saw a location right off I-83 in northern MD, Hunt Valley, but we wasted more time to get off the freeway, for her to go to her ATM, & get back on the freeway when we were running significantly late. I said we are running significantly late as it is, so why are we wasting more time. She claimed in case there was something she wanted to buy in Lancaster, but that was not the primary purpose, but I'll get to that at the end. I was panicking on the significant late, and that the restaurant closes at 1, and I drove above 100 mph at times on I-70, which I think was the only time I've ever gone that fast on 70, and maybe only 4 times ever in my life reaching that speed. Experience with the Restaurant: This is street parking around here, which was free meters on Sunday. We got a decent parking spot a block away. We walked in at 12:50 PM, which was 50 minutes LATE and 10 minutes before On Orange's closing time of 1 PM. My friend & his girlfriend were already done eating. He said that they had their stomach set for eating at 12, and there was pressure to order since it's not a huge place and pretty busy. I was annoyed with my friend for not waiting for us, but I get it because let's be honest, my g/f fault on that one. Server was cordial, and my g/f & I quickly ordered. Food came out quickly. We ate quickly, and my friend & his g/f watching us eat. Food was delicious, and they were quick, but to be fair, they were closing in 10 minutes, so they were motivated to get out of there. I got a pancake & egg dish as I recall. This was a top notch brunch. In spite of the negative experience of being so late because of my g/f, the experience at the restaurant was excellent. Conclusion: After brunch, we looked around downtown, Amish Farm (see my 5-star review of them written in April 2018), etc. and was overall a nice day with the 3 of them albeit very cold. After we left, I took the back road from I-83 all the way back to Germantown, MD where she lived to see something different and to save a little gas too since it's pretty direct going that way. My g/f was complaining about it taking so long getting back. I knew she was meeting up with a friend that night. But what I later realized, she wanted to stop at an ATM that morning really because she needed cash to pay that friend for cannabis that night. So, she disrespected everyone's time for this. I guess on a positive at least she wasn't cheating on me with that guy and really was just for pot. In conclusion, I thought On Orange was top notch, and they were accommodating to our time schedules.

The restaurant is large with lots of seating and not on top of other tables. Service was friendly and our food arrived promptly.  The robo-service was a cute and quite a functional addition to the dining experience. It brought entrees/meals to the assigned table and the server followed to serve the food. This was efficient because our meal came out and another server was able to grab the items off the robo-server and give them to our table.  The food was very good and portion sizes were equal to the price. We sampled the egg white veggie omelet with toast and homefries, which was cooked perfectly. The home fries were spot on! The eggs benedict were cooked just right and very tasty. We also enjoyed the pancakes and sausage. Very good consistency and flavorful.  A bonus that there was a carafe of syrup on the table instead of the little packets or small bottles.  Overall a great breakfast spot.  We will try their lunch menu in the future.

When we were seated, we were given the prix fixe food menu but never provided with a drink menu. We were served water, but our waitress didn't ask if we'd like cocktails, wine, or any featured Valentine's drinks. For a special occasion dinner, that felt like a major oversight. The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. It was an unsatisfying way to spend what should have been a special evening. The ambiance was very nice but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.
