I like breakfast. I don't care what time of day, or night, it is. Its hard to beat a big meal that costs $8 or less. You can get three eggs, grits (or) potatoes, and toast with a drink for$5. It is pretty filling. They have a $1 menu and a $5 menu also. They serve a lunch and dinner menu as well. Meals are served fast and hot. Which is good when you are on the go. I like the hash browns scattered an smothered. You should get the grits (below the Mason-Dixon Line) in a bowl. I am sorry, they do not serve cream of wheats for the halfbacks. If I am the fortunate one to take call, then I pretty much expect that my presence will be required during that shift. This place was filthy! Awful customer service! It took at least 15 minutes to be acknowledged and another 10 for my order to he taken. It took an additional 35 minutes to get my food and it wasn't even my entire order. There were spaces to dine in that had dirty plates and trash out the entire time I was there. Very 1st time at a Waffle House and I was not disappointed. Not a huge breakfast eater let alone waffles, but decided to go with the Allstar Breakfast Special. Waffles, eggs, sausage, grits and toast. I opted for no toast though. Let me say the waffles are homemade and out of this world. Sausage pattys had great taste, and eggs over easy (cant screw that up) and grits were good too. Our waitress was very friendly, which is not the norm where I live. They also had a jukebox playing music which i thought was pretty cool, and was not too loud that you couldn't hear anyone speak. They had about 12 workers behind the counter shouting orders and cooking as it was starting to get busy. Now I'm hooked, just disappointed no Waffle Houses in Michigan. I know alot of people dont like this place, but its a chain and your going to have good/bad experiences. Went to get a bite after spending the last 8 hours moving my business from my previous office space (off windy hill) to my new location on roswell rd. I was exhausted as it was 12:30am and starving so decided on going to WaHo before hitting the hwy to head home. I walked into an empty Restaruant and decided to sit at the bar as no one was there. I was greeted with attitude by Asia the waitress which stood up claiming me as her server. I smiled and sat, instantly feeling awkward by the unwarranted rudeness she gave me right off the bat. She proceeded to take my order as well as the gent's order that was with me. I noticed she rolled her eyes at me when I gave her my drink order and after that decided I would not be looking her in the eyes moving forward. Well next thing I know my dude comments on how nasty she was being to him and at that point I couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave this review. It was almost comical how nasty and outright rude she treated us throughout the entire meal. I even heard her coworker say offhandedly to her, "your attitude..." Never have I felt more uncomfortable during a meal than I did at the Waffle House on windy hill. The food was good but the service was terrible. Needless to say Asia should NOT be in the service industry. She seems young so hopefully with some training will become a more positive person that treats everyone fairly. This is one of the cleanest waffle houses in town. They always have quick service too. I wouldn't say the food was anything different than what you would expect from any other waffle house, but the service was good. Very very very unhappy with the staff tonight. The male server (Michael) I believe was new to this location and was exceptionally helpful and apologetic to the foolery that was taking place right next to us. A staff member chose to re enter the building after seeing a guest that did not leave a great review come in to order. She began to yell insults at the women and completely belittle her. The server who did not disclose her name but had red dreads continued to treat the guest unfairly. The guest was super calm to start but as the server continued to disrespect her she began to get more and more aggravated. After calling the guest out of her name numerous times they then proceeded to gang up on the guest. A server and what seemed to be a training manager or head server yelled "get out my store we don't need to serve you." Who does that? Why would you deny service to someone after your staff member decided to be utterly disrespectful. How could we enjoy our meal with her being so crazy. The server kept inviting the girl behind the counter to fight and the guest did not speak. The server began yelling "I don't need to work here my man take care of me, he in the car" she kept brining up something about a weapon. like are you completely insane ? I just don't understand why the escalation to weapons, why the disregard for the other guests in the establishment and why the supposed manager on duty did not handle the situation better. They all just sat there (with the exception of our male server) yelling at this women and her significant other. This Waffle House location is usually my first stop when I land in Atlanta. Tonight, it was the worst service and unsanitary environment. I understand that it's late in the night/morning, but it wasn't any other customers present. And the server was lazy, the cook had an attitude, and the other employee was sitting down getting rest. The first issue was my order wasn't fulfilled, I didn't receive my waffle with my meal. The next issue was a fly landed on my plate and I told the cook about it. Then, she huffed and puffed like the Wolf from the three little pigs story. The final issue was a freakn' roach roaming the area of the basket holding the condiments and by my plate. Omg, unsanitary!!! The waiter grab it and threw it on the floor and stepped on it. While I was trying to eat, I didn't finish after that. this is the actual worst waffle house i've ever been to. terrible service. one of the servers was so rude to everyone. the other one claimed that he "doesn't know how to cook". there were 8 of us in this restaurant and the one worker that was even remotely nice to us said "she doesn't want to serve y'all" about the other worker. i'm sorry but do your job. the two workers were also constantly fighting with each other. I called ahead to place my order. I was told to hold. I held. I held. I held some more. Eventually I arrived at the Waffle House and was still on hold. I stood at the register to place my order for about 10 minutes watching the employees stand around. At one point, an older overweight cashier walked over to me! She was finally going to take my order! Nope. She told me to step aside so she could ring up another customer. She finished that and I stood around waiting to be acknowledged for a few more minutes. While waiting, I also noticed the phone still had me on hold off the hook. After almost 15 minutes of standing around, someone finally cleared up their busy schedules of standing around enough to take 30 seconds to take down my order. Though she did it with plenty of attitude. I left the restaurant and came back. She told me my food was ready but they forgot my waffle. Bacon was undercooked. Hashbrowns were slimy.
