On 9/14/25 at approximately 1:00 AM, a group of about 15 of us visited Waffle House store #508 after our regular Saturday night trail ride. Stephanie was our server. Rather than taking everyone's order at once, she took each family's order individually and waited for their food to be prepared and served before moving on to the next. After 45 minutes had passed, my husband and I still had not placed our order, even though everyone else in our party had already received and eaten their meals. I asked to speak with a manager, but Stephanie informed me that no manager was present and instead sent over the cook, Richard. When I expressed our concerns, Richard raised his voice and snapped, "Can't you see we're busy? Be patient!" He then returned to the grill and began loudly yelling across the restaurant, saying, "My name is Richard if you need it, with store #508, but make sure you say it right. Do you even know how to spell Richard?" He continued ranting in front of everyone, including other patrons not in our party. To be clear, the restaurant was not overly busy, our group and three other customers at the bar were the only ones present. Every member of our party had finished their meal before my husband and I were even given the chance to order. Unfortunately, this experience confirmed the negative reputation that Waffle House has developed over the years. When employees speak to paying customers with such hostility and unprofessionalism, it reflects poorly not just on the location but on the brand as a whole. It's disappointing, especially because we've been loyal customers of this location, visiting every Saturday night. Sadly, we will no longer be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I LOVE Waffle House. I will review this one based on my exact experience last night. AND - I've been to this one several times!!! We walked in to only 1/2 the restaurant available for seating (probably due to hours and staffing) we had to wait for several tables to be cleaned off. The wait person took her sweet time to clean, too. I think it was to minimize her workload until her replacement came in. By the time we got into our table (six of us squeezed in a booth) we were handed menus and began to look them over. The menus have changed a bunch in the last year, but all the favorites are still there! Our new wait person took our order and the food began to come out pretty quickly after that. I chose breakfast and the rest of our group chose dinner entrees (burgers & sandwiches) but everyone except me got hash browns. I got cheesy scrambled eggs (a bit on the greasy side), bacon (3 strips of semi-crispy bacon), and some toast (heavily buttered), and pecan waffle PLUS some "cold" grits. I also got coffee (always tasty). There was some confusion towards the end in paying...but we got it worked out. Henry cook's everything with precision but if you get an omelette you will be treated to the best fluffy omelette possible. Tonya is a great server. Been there "in forever" and serves with a smile. Located in its own plaza, having NOT grown up in the south, this was my first waffle house experience. The menu was simple and I got the blueberry waffle & bacon + egg + hashbrowns combo. The bacon was great and crispy, eggs were solid, hashbrowns tasted frozen. Most importantly the waffle itself was fine, with dried blueberries instead of fresh, it was semi soggy. The fellow patrons made the experience with people constantly changing the juke box. I can tell how this place can be nostalgic. Called to get to-go order answering service/ voice prompt states no phone orders. Uber in and request to go order staff states no to-go orders they are too buy so dine-in only. They ask us to sign in and wait outside, mind you there are open seats and tables available. We sign in, and a young lady on staff says you don't have to go outside take a seat in the empty chairs. Well, the manager did not like that because after we sat down for a few minutes and another party came in we were asked to wait outside. The other party and ourselves went outside to stand. Needless to say the other party went to another restaurant and we called another Uber to do the same. I would not recommend this location. read more

This was my first experience at a Waffle House since there aren't any locations where I'm from. I looked forward to trying it until I got there. I went with a party of three other people, so there were four of us total. Within five minutes of being there, we were asked three times if we were ready after saying the first two times we needed time to figure out what we wanted. I guess they expect everyone to know already or only take 60 seconds to figure it out. The last time we were asked if we were ready, the cook asked us from behind the counter in the kitchen. One person at our table responded and said she was ready, and he responded by saying "Well, we'll take the order all at once. Everybody needs to be ready." Ok, Sir. That's literally what we've been saying this whole time, but ok. It felt like he was rushing us and had an attitude because they had to wait on us to place an order. They didn't have to wait long, but I guess it felt like a lifetime to him. The food was subpar. It's not worth going back. I didn't expect anything special; however, I did expect for everything to at least be edible. Everything was decent except the hash browns. I've never had hash browns that look like stir fry noodles before. After the first taste, I didn't eat any more of them. I wanted to send them back and sub them for something else but chose not to after being rushed and the cook having an attitude. I also noticed my table got our drinks in to-go cups and the table that was seated after us got regular cups. It's not a huge deal--just an observation in the difference in how we were treated versus people who came in after us. Overall, service was ok. The woman who greeted and sat us was fine, and the woman who took over for her was also fine. It felt like they were just doing their jobs. My issue is with the cook. After this experience, I won't ever go out of my way again to go back to any other location. I'm sure it doesn't matter because they don't need my money, and people will continue to eat there. I now see why those videos of Waffle House go viral. If you want to try for the first time, I suggest thoroughly looking over the menu beforehand, so you know what you want as soon as your buns touch the seat. read more

They told us to sit at the section with the high chairs, we asked for a booth and the "seater" told us no, we said we have no problem waiting! They talked about us during our whole visit. We come to this location often and never had an issue! It sucks because I could say so much about how horrible this location is (ants by the window booths, the trash under the grill area, sticky tables). What can I say??? Romeo was a fantastic server, to start. Straight to the point and a customer service wonder. Took our order quickly and efficiently and did everything with a very cool smoothness. The food was delicious and inexpensive. And they pay attention to details. We really enjoyed the coffee he made us because he heard me say I'm from HI and our coffee is so strong. The details make the experience! Our dinner comprised of steak and eggs, hash browns, and toast. A word to the wise: they service diners who eat in, first. To go orders second. (Because the food is made fast and best eaten right away) They have old school values and although they love ALL customers they know that inside dining is a better quality and requires less time to pack up. They really want everyone to get the best food experience possible. If you're down for a really good deal the pork chops I hear are extremely affordable and delicious. One of my favorite things about this diner is the energy inside. The employees behave much like my family does in our family business. Now, that might not be your cup of tea... But in my opinion these workers are so fantastic, and they exude goodness and charm. Not something you can find everywhere. A bonus: The juke box was filled with musical gems and I played four songs timed perfectly to the time it took to order, eat, and pay. 4 songs for $1. Yay me! (I was glad everyone liked my choices.) Now that I'm full and happy I can honestly say I would come here again. My stomach is a little finicky, so I am very happy to report the food was not greasy and I will sleep well tonight. I feel a little bad for writing this low of a review but I think Waffle House gave me some of the worst food I ate the entire trip I was in Florida. I couldn't finish anything they served because my eggs tasted like there were shells in it, idk, they were crunchy in a bad way My bacon tasted like it was cooked in dirty grease, so I couldnt enjoy it. Bf and I came here around 1030am on a Sunday and it was a full house. Located in a parking lot with a souvenir shop, it was packed. We got the Daily special with sausage and it came with a waffle all for $8.95 each. Love the culture there as well. Everyone was friendly and it seemed like the workers enjoy working there. All my friends know I love me some waffle house. The food is amazing. Honestly I over eat every time I get here the waffle is a must try. Hashbrowns are great. I tend to tell them to cook them a little longer so it has a slight crisp, one thing I wish is when you're ordering takeout you could just call it in or walk in and order it to go but they make you sit at a table like you're actually eating there just to order takeout I don't really understand that but hey whatever works for them read more

What a disaster. We walked in and the place looked like a trash bomb had gone off. There were dirty dishes covering every single surface. I counted 12 employees and only 9 customers (including myself and my 2 friends), so I'm not sure what the employees were doing. And clearly they weren't either. We were seated at a kiddy table that was so low I felt like I was at an elementary school. We ordered and after 10 minutes still hadn't even received our drinks. Things were already looking dire, and then our food (which we repeatedly had to tell multiple different employees what we had ordered) started to come. My friends' grits were mushy. My hash browns were burnt, my toast had giant globs of butter in between the slices making it mushy, my eggs were seriously undercooked and runny. And we still hadn't even been given utensils. Then finally my waffle came. I figured(/hoped) that at least a place with "Waffle" in the name could get a waffle right. Spoiler alert: they couldn't. I had yet to touch any of my other "food" yet (and even calling it food is the nicest thing I can say about the experience), so even though my waffle looked burnt, I was hungry, so I took a bite... which I immediately spit out because somehow they had managed to burn the outside while leaving the inside raw dough. We ended up just walking out and going to First Watch (where I was able to get the same thing I had tried to get at Waffle House, but actually delicious, fast, and somehow cheaper). A classic Waffle House. We stopped in this morning, expecting the worst. Not because of the diner, but because it was 11AM on a Sunday and this spot is near Disney. It should have been a madhouse. When we walked in though we noted maybe only a dozen people waiting to be seated. We took the cue though and ordered to go. The coffees black we asked for were given to us immediately. Great coffee. and the people waiting for tables sure did look a little jealous of us standing there with our beverages already. 10 minutes later we were walking out of there with our breakfast to go. A side note, the inside was classic Waffle House diner; a hustle and bustle of employees and patrons. Always a great vibe. We took our eats to the hotel pool though. It was perfect. We stopped here for a late breakfast on Thursday morning. Given their Kissimmee location, right off I-4, I was surprised to see front row parking & empty tables. After choosing a roomy booth adjacent to the kitchen, I reviewed their large breakfast menu. Our server promptly took our drink order & continued to check on us until we'd decided. My Hashbrown Bowl was fantastic, and too much for me to finish! And my friend gave me her grits, which were thick, mushy & delicious. Both of my friends enjoyed their meals as well. And our server frequently came by to refill our drinks & make sure we needed nothing. He was incredibly cheerful, as were all of the employees that morning.
