This was my "Free Birthday Waffle" Pigeon Forge TN

Absolutely the very worst experience I've ever had in a Waffle House. We went on a vacation to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge on my birthday weekend. On the morning of my birthday we went in to have a nice breakfast. I showed the waitress my "free waffle " on my birthday email. She looked at it, sighed and demanded that I delete the email right then. I didn't get a "happy birthday" or any other comment except "go ahead and delete that" We overlooked this and waited for our food. What arrived was a crumpled up piece of garbage that was supposed to be a waffle. I wouldn't serve this to my dog. It was wholly unappetizing and looked like a kitchen reject. I understand it's a free waffle, and I did expect just a plain waffle, but I wanted something appetizing. Just because it's free doesn't mean that you serve crap. If you don't want to serve anything for free, then don't send the email. I asked the waitress what it was supposed to be and she said the waffle maker was overused that weekend by the slammedenuff car show. I can understand that, but at least mention when you bring it to me that there was a problem with the waffle maker, don't make it out like there's nothing wrong. Why couldn't I have an alternative item if the waffle maker was broken? Why are you even still using it? The waitress eventually saw I was upset and offered to have it remade, but what's the point? If the first one comes out like garbage, why wouldn't the second one? The whole point of this review is this, WHY would you even think to serve something like this? Especially on someone's birthday. They did ruin my morning but thankfully we found a better place that was absolutely wonderful. We will never return to this Waffle House and I will never order a waffle from any Waffle House ever again. Apparently you can't get a waffle from a place that calls itself a Waffle House. My family did try it to see if it was any good, but I wouldn't touch it. They said it was okay but not very good.

Immediately upon entering, my boyfriend and I received a warm southern welcome. The people in Tennessee are so very friendly. We were promptly seated. My server was extremely friendly and attentive. She gave us great tips when it came to the area. Waffle House Pigeon Forge is not real big. There are some booths for seating and some counter seating. You can see all the food being made behind the counter. My server brought me a Fresh Hot Cup of Coffee and a Water with Lemon. My bf ordered an Ice Tea. For our breakfast we both ordered A WAFFLE With SIDE MEAT- 2 Eggs over easy with Toast & Jelly; I chose Grits and a Waffle with 2 sausage patties. My bf ordered the same thing except he chose their Smithfield Ham. Everything was delicious especially their waffles which are a must. They were light and fluffy and had a wonderful taste to it. A cute touch was the Waffle House emblem on the Waffle. I also enjoyed their grits which came with lots of butter, what a treat for a northern girl. We both really enjoy our breakfast. ( it is a lot of food.) I chose to eat a little of everything. They have plenty of free parking in their lot along with some handicapped parking. This place is wheelchair accessible.Waffle House is open 24 hours.Their prices are reasonable. If you get a chance to experience a Waffle House I highly recommend it.

FOOD- never fails to make me happy and to bring joy to my tummy SERVICE- Logan was our waiter and he was so great with me and all my little sisters. making butterfly shaped waffles, endless suply and refills on our vanilla coke, and good memories made for our girls trip. will definitely be coming back ! AMBIANCE- very welcoming and friendly i felt like i belong and they treat ya like family here !

A hash brown I was able to pick up. That's the whole hash brown that was in the bowl

First of all, night shift staff was rude and incompetent. Second of all the food was given to us so unorganized and we were expected to put our own food together. Once we got home all of our Hashbrowns weren't even good and burnt.

DELICIOUS and AMAZING SERVICE! We loved it so much that we had breakfast here 3 times during our trip to Pigeon Forge. The breakfast was always perfect and everyone is so nice. Ashley took care of us both days and we would come back just for her! Way better than some of the "must-do" breakfast places in town.

What a wonderful experience. My mother and I really wanted to go to a Waffle House while we were in Tennessee. It is a modern location and Ashley was a fantastic server. We were all satisfied with our meals. You should stop by.

There was a decent sized line and half the restaurant was cordoned off for some unknown reason but the food was still Grade A Waffle House. We always fire up the cheesy eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast with the chocolate chip waffle and it never disappoints. The workers at Waffle House -- including this one -- are universally cheerful and awesome. So no matter if it's 10am or 10pm, they've got you covered!

We went because me and my family were hungry and we stopped by and I was honestly disgusted and disappointed I ordered a steak and the steak tasted old it wasn't even cooked how I wanted it I ask for rare and I got well done the restrooms smell disgusting Never coming here again

It had been almost 20 years since I'd been to a Waffle House, so figured I was due. I got the classic (a waffle), but they had pecan waffles for just a few more calories, so it's vacation, why not. Service was excellent and the waffle was as delicious as I remember. It's still Waffle House so for comparison sake it may not compete with the best homemade southern diner waffles, but they're very good at a great price.

For once in Pigeon Forge, I have ate something that actually tasted distinguishable. If you blind-folded me and had me take a bite out of different burgers from different burger joints, I could guess this one with no hesitation. However, one notable throw-off i had was that the burger had a weird aftertaste of tuna. I ordered the smash burger and it had the perfect amount of grease that doesn't drench you, but keeps up with freshness and taste. And the reason I wanted to write this review was for the french fries. Tired of soggy fries? This place puts the FRY in french fries. They maintained a delicious level of crunch and crisp (if that's your gusto) and didn't have that same refrigerator taste. I also ordered cheese curds and they had the most amazing cheese pull and tasted great! The service was excellent too, unlike some servers, they don't abandon you and they keep up with you and refills / clearing the table. If there's anything I appreciate more, it's waiters and waitresses that (even if they don't) act like they cherish their job! And if you yearn for a setting that makes you in the mood for adventure.. or a bear lover.. this place has attracting visuals so you aren't trapped in a minimalist setting. Overall, if you're up for trying new flavors and advancing your taste buds' vocabulary, I recommend The Fat Bear Family Tavern!

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster. Don't be fooled by the big print image of the can on the menu. Restaurant - 6/10 Demon Soup In An Aluminum Can - 2/10

I visited with a family group of 10, and from the moment we sat down, the experience was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, quick, attentive, and made excellent recommendations that helped everyone decide what to order. Despite the size of our group, she kept drinks filled, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything came out correctly. The food was exactly what you hope for when looking for a hearty country breakfast. The griddle cakes were enormous, light and fluffy with a rich buttery flavor that soaked up the syrup perfectly. They had a slightly crisp edge while staying soft and tender in the middle. The Big Breakfast Platter was massive, loaded with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, and grits. That will say the first batch of grits that they gave me were horrible as they were clumpy and kind of cold however the waitress easily fix that and replace them with a hot bowl of brown sugar grits that I enjoyed completely, other than this Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and anyone who ordered eggs over medium were cooked just right The biscuits were some of the best we had during our Tennessee trip--large, flaky, buttery, and soft inside and out.. Whether eaten on their own or with gravy, they melted in your mouth. What impressed us most was that every single person in our party found something they loved, and everyone left completely satisfied. We were tasting everybody's food and still left with no one finishing their plates because The portions are no joke here. In fact, my only complaint is that there was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all, and had to throw it away before heading home because it was a 3-hour ride back to the house so If you're visiting Gatlinburg and want a memorable breakfast with generous portions, great service, and delicious food, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is absolutely worth the wait, and it is a long long wait. sometimes..

I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge). Never have I really ventured outside of that and I couldn't actually tell you why. When my kids and I made a quick 1 day Dollywood trip over to Pigeon Forge, 23 we're looking for a place to eat prior to the big day at the park. What's funny is I relied in Googles AI (Gemini) to tell me where to go. I was driving around and was asking for recommendations. It said Mama's Farmhouse was a popular place to eat for families and it was all-you-can-eat. The kids wanted fried chicken and Salisbury steak, which was in the menu for that day. What a coincidence! If I could summarize it, this is basically a local Cracker Barrel-style restaurant but the food is a lot better. It's tucked away off of a side road off of the main highway 321 road and reminds me a lot of the Applebarn Restaurant down the road. The ambiance is this old timey feel, like many of the establishments around the area. The fried chicken (bone-in), chicken tenders, fries catfish, and Salisbury steak was what we ordered for our mains. Everything was delicious! The seasoning had the perfect amount of salt across all the dishes and sides. The chicken was juicy and tender. The Salisbury steak was solid, some of the best I've ever had. Savory, rich brown gravy, and tender chunks of beef. All the sides were amazing too, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and chicken and dumplings. Honestly there wasn't a negative thing about this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.
