This is the last Waffle House before hitting the airport. Happy staff waiting to serve. Clean place with frankly really good Waffle House food. Had the hash brown bowl with two eggs and in typical Waffle House fashion loaded all the way. Except chili. For me doesn't work with eggs. I was told by folks at work to visit Waffle House during my trip to Florida. What is so special and magical about this place? I'm not quite sure, but Waffle House did not disappoint in terms of hospitality, delicious hash browns, and edible biscuit and gravy. It's a diner that is charming in it's own way, although the people there did take a longer than necessary stare at our group, we do not look like locals I guess. I love hashbrowns and the hashbrowns here were delicious. Perfectly crispy and salted, I didn't need to add anything to them. The biscuit and gravy was also good, a little blander than I would make them at home but a solid item on the menu. The waiter kept out coffee filled and was super polite. The only thing is I wish I could have purchased one of these Waffle House mugs to take home with me. read more

First time spending more than a night in Florida. Saw Waffle House on damn near every corner. I was told that they are everywhere. No lie...every corner so we had to finally stop in. This place was a super small American cafe. The food was about 300% better than Dennys and IHOP combined. Totally surprised us. Pecan pancakes were very good. The bacon was thick, smoky, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The hash browns got the "best I've ever had" from both the wife and I. If you haven't yet stopped at a Waffle House, so stop by. I've had ups and downs with this Waffle House since I've lived in the area for the last two years. As much as I love a 24 hour restaurant, quick food when I need it, and a go-to place, this Waffle House has a quick turn around due to racism, lack of staff, and lazy workers. However, my last visit, the all female staff were AMAZING. Sofie, the manager at the time, needs to be promoted. The other ladies, Marcella, Tami, and Vickie, was the first time in 2 years that actually knew had to do their jobs, communicated well together/with customers, and served up delicious breakfast. Even gave them $5 dollar tips each! This place needs a lot of improvement compared to other waffle houses; however, they need to hire more ladies/people like the ones mentioned above! read more

It's truly amazing to me how many Waffle Houses there are throughout the south. So much good food in the South, so much history, so much variety . . . and then, so many Waffle Houses. Go figure. I've been to a few of them in my time, always out of convenience (open24/7 and on every other corner), but never for the need to taste some WH goodness. It's sort of a must try, a when-in-Rome- kind of thing. You have to try In-N-Out when visiting the West Coast; you have to try White Castle when on the East Coast; and you have to try the Waffle House when you are everywhere else. This particular location provided fast and friendly service - God bless everyone who works and eats at the Waffle House. Butter and grease are a staple for many but for me, it was just too much on and in my food to enjoy. Good for bar-closing-dining, not so good for a sober and early morning me. Went to eat at 1230am. Half was close, all available tables were taken. There were 11 people waiting for food to go. Some had been waiting for 20 minutes +, others 15 minutes. No one said a word to me or even acknowledged that I was even there. Waited for 10 minutes and walked out! There were 5 employees and only a couple were doing anything at all!! I was so shocked when the employee said he was gonna call the cops on us. I'll explain My friend and i when to eat there. Server took our drink and food order at the same time , never saw her again (she was sweet). Before she walked away i told her if once we got our food we could get our check. The cook brought our food, the server was busy with a crowd thAt walked in . I understood. My friend was cold so once we finished eating i told her to wait in the car while i pay. By this time she had yelled twice if we could get our check never no one even acknowledged us the cook jesse yelled at us that he was gonna call the cop on us . I continue to ask her to wait for me in the vehicle, I approached him and asked him why was he so rude with his comment, he said we was walking out i told him that we waiting and asked plenty of times for our check and no one ever even check on us . I told him to be nice to people and i did asked for his name and he walked away from me . Went here when my boyfriends car got a flat and we went to go fix it the next morning with our friend Sam. It was right around he corner and we just kind of wound up there. It turned out to be a really great experience. To drink I got a REAL vanilla coke and to eat I got chocolate chip and peanut butter waffles and a Texas bacon egg and cheese sandwich add jalepinos. I ate every bite because it was so delicious and our server was the sweetest lady. We sat at the bar. It was perfect. I remember my first waffle house, it was in mississippi when I was stationed in Biloxi. These places are scattered all over the bible belt and I must say I really love them. It's a simple breakfast joint, I'm glad most of them don't have a smoking section anymore. They're usually quick, friendly, military adoring places and make you feel at home wherever you find one.
