Located inside the Market downtown Springfield, parking wasn't too bad, numerous vendors, and the lively atmosphere makes for a good vibe Upon entering the main hall it's an open food court concept where you seat yourself and choose from all kinds of venues, but I came for the Chicken & Waffles and they did not disappoint! The Chicken was flavorful, crunchy, yet tender on the inside. The Waffles were fluffy and light which quickly absorbed the delicious Bourbon Maple syrup. Great mix that was all washed down with a wheat beer and some Blantons, yes, Blantons (IYKYK)! There is a full bar inside the hall which completed the meal before he headed out to Columbus! Overall, highly recommend for the options, atmosphere, and obviously good food!

Service was always with a smile, although fruit was forgotten on one occasion. While the coffee was never hot enough for me, the food was very tasty. I especially enjoyed the freshly prepared waffles. The bacon was perfectly crisp and the strawberries fresh. Eggs were also perfectly over medium and topped with cheddar cheese. One day I ordered hash browns that were crispy and right out of the fryer. Ironworks is inside the CoHash food court which was lively with middle school students on one visit.

Taste of Belgium is a great choice for almost any meal!…read more The restaurant is fun with a playful atmosphere, colorful decor, and a generous seating plan broken up by a wrap around bar in the center. It is relaxed and informal, for sure. Famous for their waffles, I had to have one! I opted for the fried chicken and waffle and was not disappointed! It may look a little small, but it was filling and flavorful. The drink menu wasn't overly long or complicated, but there were several great options. Our server was top notch! She handled our table of 8 (no waiting at dinner, BTW) with ease!

Not going to lie. Everything on the menu looked extremely delicious and extremely creative so it was hard to make a choice here. Garden Salad - Added some Grilled Chicken to the salad and it was actually quite a good one. Ingredients were all fresh and went really well together. Didn't even need to add much dressing to it. Eckerlin goetta - We ordered this on the side because its one of the must try items in Cincinnati. Quite a unique flavor and texture, but actually something I would recommend trying. The Fried Chicken went believeably well with that Waffle. No wonder it's one of the popular dishes! The biggest highlight for me was that waffle. I don't know what it was with that waffle but it was a different type of Belgian waffle which was dense and cakey with a little bit of sugary crust outside and it was so so so beautiful. I noticed that they sell some waffles to go as well and little gift bags and that ready would be a nice thing to take for home or even to give someone. Could not recommend this food more! Only reason I'm taking off a point here is the service was extremely slow. We had to call them a couple times to add something on and had to actually follow up and ask where it was. Same thing with asking for an extra waffle where they just took so long even though it was quite a simple thing to bring out.

Most I brought home. My husband talked about the peach french toast but ended up getting the cinnamon french toast with a side of grits. He said the french toast was really sweet. Service was good but the only table available for 2 was in the window which I was sweating before we left....it was a hot day out. They could use some blinds. The place is average size and the menu as well. If you are in the area I do suggest eating there, and if you have not tried it, you should. I dont think this is a franchise and is family owned so show them some business. Parking is out front on the street unless you can find a spot behind the building.

Parking is a little tricky because there is limited parking out front and you have to really go around the block to park in back and walk back around. You don't really have an option to park on the side streets because one doesn't have close street parking and the other is a one way. When we first arrived it took us a few minutes to be seated as someone was placing a to go order and there was no one else there to seat us. Once we were seated and ordered, it took less than 10 minutes for our food to arrive. I know it's called French Toast Heaven, but the salmon croquettes were calling my name. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and had a pleasant experience. That said, given the price point, I expected the food to feel a bit more elevated. I'm excited to see how the space evolves, based on photos of their West Chester location, it looks like they've done a wonderful job creating an inviting atmosphere, and I can't wait to see how they bring that same touch to this location. We'll have to come back and try some of the famous French toast on our next visit.

While they were busy, we didnt have to wait long for a booth. Our server quickly offered strong hot $4 coffee and a personal teapot to brew our $4 Earl Grey. There were season recipes available, but we found what we wanted on the regular menu. $10 Eggs As You Wish gave us two over-easy eggs, super-crispy hash brown sticks, our choice of slightly-sweet whole grain toast, and a $4 add-on of a savory oatey local pork-beef hash called goetta, much like Maryland's corn-based scrapple. We had more good old breakfast food: a $12 stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes with whipped butter, light powdered sugar, a maple syrup, with a side of goetta included. Both were breakfasts that were a perfect traditional balance of flavor and texture. We had luscious $14 Smoked Salmon Toast on richly-flavored multigrain toast, made into a crunchy fresh sandwich with caper-dotted cream cheese, crisp cucumber slices, sliced red onion, and tasty microgreens. And we went vegetarian with $11.50 Vegetable multigrain Toast: creamy avocado, thick ripe tomato, pickled red onion, fresh cucumber, thin radish slices, and microgreens All of the food was delicious and creative, and that includes the tasty well-crafted vegetarian offerings. Prices were quite reasonable. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We ate at a leisurely pace with generous coffee refills, and never felt rushed. We envied those who thought to ask for patio-seating. They do add 3% to credit-card payments (not to debit-cards), which is posted so you know ahead of time. My only advice is to ask for a table if you find that a booth can feel a little tight. (Me :-). We loved our visit here!
