It was raining when we came, but had it not, it would have been such a great place to walk around and explore. They have a garden area and just such a cute vibe. I felt like I was walking into an upscale farm house...and I loved it! I loved all the decor and the whole vibe, All the food we received at the table was amazing. We had crab balls and basal buttons, both of which were well gone before I could take pictures! Around our table we had a wide variety, 3 Tuna & Truffle, 2 Crabbie Patty, a Beastly Buffalo chicken, a cob salad and sides of curly fries, sweet mashed potatoes, grits, seasonal veggies and soup. Everyone enjoyed their meals tremendously! I wish I had found this place 4 years ago because I would have made it a repeat visit!! I'm updating with one negative...the water. I don't drink soda or sweets, I usually just drink water. The water they brought out tasted like bleached well water, that's really the only way I can describe it. I couldn't drink it, and it had a smell!

Before coming to this location I realized that every other location I have been to has dropped the ball on this particular amenitie. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. I tried to get another table but was told other tables were already reserved. So we decided to stop complaining to ourselves and just go with it. That was the ONLY major negative experience at Table 23. Other smaller negatives were ice water from the machine that tasted like the plastic devices it came out of. We requested tap water and it was promptly served and solved that problem. Our waiter did a fabulous job and he was always moving fast to his tables. Sometimes though it took him a while to attend to our needs but that really wasn't his fault. That waiter was A+. I think the restaurant needs another waiter to spread the workload a bit. My wife ordered a Bees Knees drink and it was delicious, almost like a dessert. I drank my usual beer. We ordered Okra and Gorgonzola chips which were quite interesting. For our entrees, my wife ordered the flounder and I ordered redfish. Both dishes were beautiful in presentation but even mores in taste. The flounder came with a sauce that had lemon in it and it was 100% delicious, as was the flounder. My redfish came sitting in the middle of a generous serving of fabulous, delicious creamy grits. After my first bite of that fish and those grits, I knew I had hit a jackpot and thanked my good fortune in ordering it. And for a dessert we choose a shared flourless chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. visually it was just beautiful and the richness of chocolate and flavor was absolutely out of this world. Chef's duckfat cornbread drizzled with just the right amount of avocado butter provided the perfect podium on which two blackened shrimp lightly dusted with a hint of subtle spices rested. If you know me, you know I don't like my food to hurt me, and this dish met my requirements with a whisper of, "Here I am." Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. However, he admitted the sauce didn't have any hint of coffee and, in fact, it was a delicious complement to the chicken. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal.
