This was my first time ever at a Waffle House and I am SO HAPPY that I came to this one! They were absolutely amazing and wonderful here! As soon as I walked in and sat myself, I was promptly greeted. Not even seconds by and many of them asked if I needed to her served. Talk about good customer service! Everyone was friendly, the team had such an amazing vibe and energy between them that exuded into the dining area! Overall, everyone was happy and just working together. The dynamics of this team and establishment was exquisite! I don't think I've ever been to a diner like waffle House and the experience was great here. Ordering from a simple menu, how the server just tells the cook right there, and just seeing your food being made in front of you. Amazing. I've been always told to come here after a few too many drinks so I've always stayed away since that was the notion of it, but this establishment proved that wrong. I would totally enjoy coming here for breakfast everyday! The food was amazing, delicious and an amazing value. Food was ok!! The place was filthy, I don't think the floor has ever been done. The waitresses were extremely polite and diligent and efficient but I witnessed one waitress look down at a loose piece of debris on the floor and just keep on walking?! What happened to pride in your work? Wont be back anytime soon! read more

I'm a disabled veteran (wheelchair bound) and enjoyed the food at the Waffle House until they added 20% to my order simply because it was to go (I sent my son to pick it up and the up charge disappointed me greatly. 20% more just because I wanted it to go because I can wheel through the doors to dine-in. Just very disappointed. read more

I love Waffle House! It is the perfect place for all the dinner basic goodness. This Thomasville Road location has the best customer service. The staff is super kind and always have a smile on their face. They are pleasant on the phone for take out and in-person. Today, I was placing a To Go order and my phone went out. So I jumped in the car and drive over to this location to place my To Go order in-person. When I walk in, the amazing waitress asks if I was the Hashbrown bowl order. I was so happy. She put in the order even with my phone cutting her off. That was so sweet. She was kind in conversation. Now let's talk food, the bacon egg and cheese Hashbrown bowl was made perfectly. I was surprised to find a Waffle House on here with such a high rating. I've been to many Waffle Houses, but this was probably the best experience I've ever had. The waitress (Stephanie) was attentive and accommodated splitting checks for our large group. Our order was taken immediately and the food came out quickly. Mike made our food as requested, and Stephanie even double checked that we were happy with the food. 10/10, 5 stars, excellent service. This Waffle House even has weekly specials! This is by far the best Waffle House Location in Tallahassee. Got the 2 egg breakfast and it was 6$ plus coffee - 3$ so very reasonable. Great service and food comes out very fast! Will be back at this location next time I want the full breakfast diner experience. read more

Honestly have not had a noteworthy experience at a Waffle House in my life until today. Such excellent attitudes and respect in the workplace. I honestly was taken back by this work environment. I have to rate this Waffle House 5 stars because the management is doing something right. JSLADE our waitress had an inspiring positive attitude and was such a kind lady! She provided 5 star service that most 5 star restaurants in Tallahassee couldn't achieve. If you ever go to Waffle House in Tallahassee AVOID the Tennessee st one at all costs and make the drive to Thomasville because you won't be disappointed! The food came out quicker than I could take a sip of my drink! Great job here and I hope this management could help save all restaurants in Tallahassee. read more

Came tonight to dine at "The Waffle House".. wow is an understatement. My friends and I all got the All Star meal... quite the deal and excitement factor in this meal. Ms. Eula immediately enthusiastically greeted us as we walked in the door, we found a nice cozy seat away from the crowd and she took our drink order upon sitting. Everything was very fast and our waters had amazing communication with her cooks and all of the food was prepared in a very timely fashion. I drove an extra 10 minutes to go to this Waffle House today and it was worth every penny. Food has always been good here.. Now what made it GREAT today was Oscar, he greeted us in such a warm way, offered us complimentary coffee and let us know that there was 1 customer ahead of us. There are times when you want good diner food for breakfast: fresh eggs cooked properly, crispy hash browns, coffee. Sadly, there aren't any traditional diners here, but the Waffle House isn't a bad alternative. They were hopping when we went on New Year's Day. We were quickly seated at the counter, so I had a chance to watch them cook. And I have to tell you, the kitchen team ran like a well oiled machine. The manager was expediting, and everyone else was on top of their game at their particular station. The food was coming out with amazing speed considering everything is cooked to order. The fact that they use real eggs for everything, and not "eggs" from a carton is not only a we one find, but says a lot about how they care about doing breakfast food right. The omelet was light and fluffy (helped by the fact that they use a blender to whip up the fresh eggs) and perfectly cooked. The toast was actually toasted, which is something that you almost never see. And the hash browns were crispy and tasty, and can be had in a multitude of ways (mine were scattered, smothered, capped and covered). Is it fine dining? No. But it is dining that is quite fine (and only a food snob would have trouble appreciating good diner food). And the service was quick and attentive. Waffle House is now high in our rotation of breakfast stops. read more

Hard to rate. For a Waffle House, this location is 5 stars, but alas, it is still a Waffle House. Certainly the best in Tallahassee, and I have ben to them all. The food is consistent and solid for diner food. My kids really enjoy coming here, so that should tell you a lot. read more

My first time in Florida as my destination. My sister who moved here highly recommended the Waffle House. The service was excellent and charming. Entering, get a greeting, table booth dirty more than 2. Coffee not hot, staff made fresh pot. Gravy was cold over biscuits. Returned for an appropriate serving. Then I get hot gravy with lots of grease. Other than, it's 5 on scale out of 10 for this location. read more

What's not to like about this place? It's good old fashioned diner food prepared at a lightning fast pace. I've never had bad service here or a bad meal. I usually get the All-Star Special: eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, homefries or grits and a waffle on the side. This is great food after a night of perilous drinking, but it's tasty on a Saturday morning too. read more

If you're looking for a straight forward diner breakfast, you need to try Waffle House. It is nothing fancy, but the food is good and the servers are super friendly and attentive. I typically get an omelet with home fries and toast. Everything is made to order and they use fresh eggs. I especially like that they actually toast the bread so that it is brown, not that pale tan you get at many restaurants. A couple of times we sat at one of the tables that overlook the kitchen, and were impressed with the speed and efficiency of the kitchen. Another plus is that the service is fast. I don't believe that we have ever waited more than 10 minutes for our food to be served. read more

Well, what can be said about Waffle House, that hasn't already been said in your favorite country song. Breakfast is hard to screw up, and their waffles are great. People tend to go for one of two reasons, either they are drunk or they feel that they need some grease to lubricate their digestive track. Whatever reason, once I walk out the door, I always wish I would have thought a little harder about my decision to dine there. So, if you really want to get a snapshot of the population, and you need to lubricate your intestines, stop in to your local WF. They will not disappoint. Hey, you might get lucky like we did, and have flies buzzing around your table. Yum! read more

Reason for 4 stars not 5 was it way to busy and takes a while yes its sunday 1015 am. But over all food was great. People very friendly kitchen running at 110%. Very clean kitchen and the chef were all. friendly no fighting smile all over. Worth the wait. Also when you order hashbrowns crispy amazing they are crispy not burnned. Great job. read more

Thie is the only waffle house I've been to with specials. The waitress, Stephanie, was super nice and efficient. They asked at the start if we wanted separate checks. They asked if the well done requested bacon was cooked enough. They also had a pretty good looking security monitor. We went because of the good reviews. It did not disappoint. And honestly, I did take 1 sip or my drink and then my waffle was there. read more

My partner, his brother and I were just passing through and needed to stop for a late breakfast/lunch. So glad we stopped here! Our server, JSlade, was a dynamo! Made us feel very welcome and has a great sense of humor. I also noticed many customers who were obviously "regulars" happily chatting with the staff. Just gotta say..never have i had even a decent experience here...and ive given multiple chances..dine in and to go...they just dont have it together. .i eat at most of the WH locations around town...this one is the worst..and they dont care. I'm not one to complain, however our late night dinner last night was something that I'd like to forget. It was around 9:30 when we stopped in for a late dinner. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Our waitress yawned the entire time that we were there. My husband ordered a hamburger (NO CHEESE) on Texas Toast (on the side). He just wanted a grilled hamburger patty basically. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad. Our waitress said to "let her see if they had made lettuce" (not salad)! So after walking to the cooler she came back to let me know that "they had not made lettuce". So I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet instead. *Back to the hamburger for my husband that he did not want cheese on. The cook took the Texas Toast and put it on the griddle then placed a piece of cheese on each slice. Our waitress had gone to a table behind us, sat down and was looking/playing on her cell phone. So I said, "excuse me sir, no cheese on the T.T. please". He didn't understand me and asked, "no cheese in the omelet?" I finally made him understand that I did want cheese in my "Ham & Cheese Omelet", but did not want cheese on the Texas Toast. Ugh... Needless to say - over all our dinner was not the ususal for Waffle House. read more

We had a reservation and were seated on time. The atmosphere is like a big-city steakhouse, with most of the seating in small, private booths. My steak was perfect (I opted for beef, not Bison) and the sides were generous and excellent. We will definitely be back at lunchtime one day to check out the burger and sandwich offerings.
