I wondered why the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived. Once we found a table that wasn't broken and cleaned off, the menus were filthy and sticky. The walls were covered in grease and the windows were dirty. The overhead exhaust was not working properly leaving the restaurant full of smoke. The waitress had to prop the doors open with chairs to help with the air flow yet allowing flies to freely roam the restaurant. Once our food arrived at our table so did the flies. It became a competition to see who could swat the most flies. My order was incorrectly made, the waitress offered to remake it but I didn't want to cause more smoke in the establishment. It's fast and inexpensive. Yes, it's a greasy spoon. But for the money and how quickly you get your food, it's a pretty good deal. I ordered a waffle with 2 eggs over hard with a side of sausage. It also came with hash browns. I found the hash browns a little greasy for me, but the waffle, eggs and sausage were good. My wife and kids also thought their waffles were good. Not black friendly. I came in to a busy restaurant and patiently waited for a seat when some came available they didn't clean them right away even though I was waiting. While I was waiting they didn't say anything to me. Breakfast is by far my favorite meal, any time of the day. Waffle House is simple yet dependable. Delicious waffles, hash browns any way you want them ( I get mine scattered and just plain - no fixins') bacon and hot tea. I've also had the breakfast bowls which come with hash browns, your choice of breakfast meat and cheese as well as other customizable toppings. Delicious! Great classic diner breakfast! All was expected, and the food came out faster than some "fast food" joints. Our daugter was recently cleared as outgrowing her egg allergy, so we came here to get a classic breakfast to celebrate a bit. I had the steak n' eggs, w/ eggs over-easy & some hash browns. The kids had some scrambled and the wife had some over-easy eggs and a waffle. The place was packed and we had to wait for a seat, but don't let that intimidate you. We were seated quickly. Every time I ate here the staff was complaining, either about their job or about their customers. Different employees at different times on different days. Putting a shout out to all the peeps working today at this Waffle House location! Props to you ALL! We were on the road traveling and paid you a random visit for some "smothered & covered" taters and other roadside diner eats. You ran an efficient, clean, tasty, & most friendly outfit! We were impressed! Our waitress Paige politely explained the brief delay in our order as grill and floors were being cleaned. Kept the coffee coming and once the order was in it came to the table quickly and correctly WITH A SMILE! Having eaten across the entire spectrum of cuisines, I must say that we have eaten and rated many places that were considered the upper end of that spectrum and not had the degree of professionalism and courtesy afforded us today at this little restaurant! Inexpensive. Good service. Delicious waffles. The Waffle House is a great place for breakfast. My favorite is the pecan waffles. They are loaded with pecans just the way I like it. Ok this is the smallest Waffle House ever. Well six tables and 14 seats, so seating is at a premium. I went with a recommendation from a Southern and went with pecan waffle. Awesome, but sitting at the counter I could see how the waffle comes out so good. There is eight waffle Irons (?), a bucket of batter between a couple to keep it warm, and a waffle goddess. OK, its all the girl does. Maybe the reason it works being small, they have a working crew of 11. Basically, you may be one on one with the help! Being from the west coast I enjoyed my first Waffle House experience. Went on a Saturday, expecting it was packed and it was. Although my family and I didn't wait for long. Food was good, cheap, and friendly waitress/staff. I enjoyed my waffle, eggs, sausages, and biscuits and gravy! I usually don't care for waffles but this one was buttery, soft and overall yummy. If you're looking for something healthy look elsewhere. This place would probably be my go to after the club/hangover spot for sure (although those days are over for me). The inside is older and a little dingy, but whose there for the decor. Food was standard, therefore it's cheap. Id choose this place over a Denny's or IHOP. read more

Not a good experience. Realize it's just this location is poorly managed. I usually have good experiences at others. I looked for a place to sit and every location was dirty. I ordered a steak and eggs with toast and hash browns, which were all pictured together. The steak came first by itself and was almost cold. 5 minutes later the rest came. I put my credit card on the check and she ignored for 5 minutes. I finally asked her to check me out. She said just give me a minute. She did everything but check me out. So I went up to the cash register and got ignored for 3 or 4 minutes. Not returning to this location unless they hang a banner that says under new management. read more

This is mainly a complaint. (12-21-2016) Think they really do try to be their best, I've enjoyed it here before. But heads up, if you see your chef being dark colored, and a somewhat big person, you may want to consider a different restaurant (sorry if that sounds racist.) We have had him as our chef two times now, and both times the food was rather poorly cooked (undercooked, greasy, way overcooked). Terrible terrible terrible. Place was extremely dirty. The cook looked unclean as did the waitresses. Staff was unfriendly and almost aggressive when we told them we were just having coffee. Its a diner right? Never heard of hanging out in a diner with friends and drinking coffee? Jeez, watch a Seinfeld episode or something. The (only) good aspect = polite and friendly waitresses. The first drawback experienced was that the sausage came out 5 minutes before the rest of breakfast. I watched as my hashbrowns and toast were plated and sat getting cold while the eggs "poached". The eggs were served with the aforementioned cold components. Sadly all three of my eggs contained solid yolks (essentially hard boiled) and NOT properly poached with warm, delightful, runny centers. The place is like a small diner with waitresses shouting out orders. I thought it had a pretty small menu. I had biscuits and gravy with extra sausage on the side. The sausage was tasty, but the biscuits and gravy was edible, but not good. Definitely out of a can/box. Coffee was good. My friend had a full blown breakfast that looked ok, but nothing special. I'd never eaten at a Waffle House, but I'd say this one pretty much is the same as the rest. A lot of the wait staff smoked. Three of them were standing by the entrance, smoking, when we arrived. How do I even begin? Every time we went out to Tanger Outlets, we would usually eat at Waffle House. Never again!!! It literally was a shit show from the time we walked in and eventually spiraled downward even further. Food was bad, waffles came out 5 mins apart. Finally got the last one 10 mins later for our order. The manager on duty, I'm assuming she was the manager, had sandals on. Was cleaning out the ice bin below the fountain coke, and another girl (not even dressed in uniform but in street clothes) brings out an arrow! Like an actual arrow from a bow and arrow set. The manager then takes the arrow point and is cleaning out the drainage in the ice bin! I think when we saw the arrow we looked at each other with that WTF look! And let's get the F outta here look! The Waffle House is a big place down south and they do their best to make the food quick and perfect and provide great customer service. This one does all that perfectly! The food was great and came out quick and was cheap. Our waitress, Mika, was very friendly and got everything out quick. She also made sure our coffee was always full. I do not expect to return to this restaurant. The restaurant is tiny and old. One has the impression that they had better eat fast and leave, given the rushed atmosphere. There are about ten chairs in a small, makeshift waiting area in the restaurant. Those who are waiting can eye those who are dining. Our server, Cat, who has been working here for 23 years, was excellent: pleasant, attentive, and efficient. The cheesesteak sandwich and hash brown potatoes dish was not bad, but was not enough for a hungry person. We spent over $20 for two (plus gratuity). I've been to a LOT of waffle houses in my lifetime and I always order the exact same thing: a Texas bacon egg and cheese melt with hash browns- this location served the best hash browns I've ever had.
