They have cameras in the suites and in the play yard : they will contact you with updates when you request them . They provide you feedback when you call regarding feedings, bathroom use , energy level etc . The cameras WiFi does go down frequently and sometimes for extended times fill it for the most part you can see what your baby is doing at all times. The application is great and they will post pictures of your puppy throughout the day on the play yard which I absolutely love ! I have been using Wag-Carson for my little dog, chihuahua, for a few years to board her while on vacation. Her last boarding was in November 2023 and have always been satisfied with her stays. We got a new dog, our first large breed, Cane Corso, in December 2023 and started using Wag this April for her day-stays. She needed the socialization and the exercise. The staff are awesome. Staff are patient. My dog has had more than a few happy pees in their lobby and all the staff take it in stride. I feel and see that staff make an effort to learn names and recognize your dog to create a bond with your dog. About a week in of my dog doing day-stays staff were saying my dog's name as soon as she came through the front door. My dog was nervous and timid her first days and staff were understanding. 2 weeks into coming here my dog no longer is timid or unsure. She wags her tail at staff and is excited to go with staff. My family and I were not at all pleased with the treatment that was clearly given to our 9month old GSD. Not only was she given CBD without our consent but the full camera package was unacceptable. I do not tend to complain about anything but this facility failed to care and watch over both of my dogs. It broke my heart to see my dogs in the condition they were in when I picked them up. On 11/11/2022 I dropped both of my dogs. They were there for a month due to a family emergency. I put my FULL trust into this place and my dogs were injured under their care. To start off I paid for two rooms. I paid $7,000 to have them well taken care of just to come and find out they kept them in ONE room the whole time. I picked them up 12/23/2022 and my dogs looked like they were abused! My male dog had a huge injury on his head and it looked black and red like he bled a lot , my female dog had her ear injured,extremely red and damaged. There is no excuse for this inhumane behavior. My dogs are skinnier than when I dropped them off. This ANIMAL ABUSE is unacceptable from a place we are supposed to trust with our pets which to them might just view them as an animal but they are our family. The employees might be there to just make a check and care less for our loved ones but as dog owners we cannot let this go by. How can they not let me know the SEVERE injury my dogs both have. I took my dogs to the vet right away to come and find out that there will be no more hair growth due to the damage they now have. Because of work, I sometimes had to leave my 1 year old pup, Meeko, at home alone unsupervised and would come back to a mess! I would also be worried at work and try to check up on him when I could with our cameras. I quickly realized this wasn't sustainable and had to find a solution. I thought of Rover or one of those dog sitting/walking apps, but it was quite the hassle and very pricy. Plus, I would have to have strangers in my home. I finally looked into dog daycare at Wag Hotel (Carson) and never looked back. The monthly pack (and other pack deals) are very affordable, and I no longer have to worry about Meeko or my home! The staff at this location are phenomenal, understanding, professional, accommodating, and patient. They help me provide meals for him and he gets designated play time each day. A picture is always sent to me through the app every time he is at daycare, which is what I look forward to at work every time. It makes my day My dog is very shy (adopted from a shelter) and can get very scared around other dogs and people, but the staff are very patient with him and keep an eye on him. Making reservations through the app is very easy as well. I will definitely be continuing to take Meeko here for a long time! I just want to start off my saying we love this place. We love that they take bigger breeds and all breeds and actually separate small and big dogs while in day care. The boarding is extremely convenient, very affordable, and my dog really loves her deluxe room with a human size bed. The trainers have always been amazing with her and they really know how to handle high energy breeds when they become to much for the play group. We have watched the cameras and have seen them distract dogs in such a respectful way that may be getting to aggressive with each other with their play. The dogs stop and go about their way. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the endless kennel cough that keeps occurring with dogs who are attending this location. We have several friends whom we have recommended to come here and unfortunately their dogs continuously keep coming home with kennel cough. Even with vaccinations kennel cough can be spread. Vaccines are not a cure, they help reduce symptoms. Kennel cough occurs when either a dog is sick and the symptoms are not recognized, vaccines are not being checked, or from unclean environmental disruptions. We are pretty good at recognizing uncleanly practices bc usually the dog will smell when being brought home. They may have yeast issues on their paws due to ground being contaminated, etc. Our Dog has had none of the issues above and I have personally seen the inside of the facility during a tour and was happy with the standards they up held during that time. We have reported this issue with the main headquarters in Walnut Creek, ca and we hope that they are investigating this issue making sure the dogs are all safe and in a clean environment. We understand issues may occur, it's life with animals. We love this facility still and will continue to use them. We also have trust that they will correct this kennel cough continuation so we can continue to keep recommending this location to our friends. read more

Warning: Long, Honest Review: I waited to give this review about two weeks out so I can process what I want to say since I've picked up my dogs! The staff were Amazing and Attentive. We left our dogs there for about 8-9 days boarding because we were out of the country. I bought the staff food a few times to say thank you and even gave each of them $5-$20 tips after, because I was very happy with the service. HOWEVER, I have noticed, many times that the camera in their room that is (pricier to pay to have that room) is offline or doesn't work during the late night shifts to early morning, which I was not happy with (11pm-6:30 ish am United States time) I also noticed twice, one of my dogs ate her poop and she had NEVER EVER done that in her entire life, so that made me feel like she was anxious about going potty or someone might be abusing her on late nights when she potties in the room. My dogs need a pee pad & I have mentioned and brought that in, but I noticed the staff didn't religiously put it, that's no problem, no big deal as long as my dogs can potty anytime in the room to prevent UTI's, ect, however, during night shift my dog would potty in the room and was very anxious as if she would be disciplined and ended up eating her own poop!! That is a big Safety & Health concern, I still have the video to this day. Otherwise, staff in the morning and afternoon and the evening hours were really attentive and very nice. Erin was very nice, the staff at the front desk were always helpful and the staff in the play areas always watched the dogs well and captured great memories. Even the cleaning person that went to my dog's room did a great job and took a minute to spend time with them before cleaning. When we picked up our dogs, a girl explained to us how they did throughout the stay and she was also great and explained how she helped feed our dogs. I loved the fact that she knew our dogs well enough and their personalities. That told me she really took the time with them. My dogs loved them and I was very happy they loved my dogs. I dropped off my son's dog this morning for a whole day play, the dog didn't finish his breakfast, so I took a goody bag, the front desk lady told me that I couldn't leave the food because they were full and she didn't have a place for the dog to eat and the dog was going to be in the play area all day and if the dog started vomiting then she would do something about it..!! It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I actually waited for quite some time, thinking about whether it be worth it. However, after several conversations with other furents, it seems that way hasn't done only me wrong. The inconsistencies here are what have earned them a negative review. Last time I brought my girl here, she stayed in all day play. I am very active in what we provide her, so I booked a room for breaks because she tends to over exert herself. With this, I booked all day play. In dropping her off, I was incredibly clear. I don't think I could have been more clear to any of the workers. I included a banana stuffed Kong for Mamba to give her during her break and a little mat for when she's in her room. Upon arriving to our destination (as we were taking a trip), I noticed that she was in her room, and not on the field with the dogs. When I called, I was informed that due to Mamba's over activeness, she wasn't allowed on the yard. This was not disclosed to me in all the steps that led up to me dropping off Mamba. In the morning, it was very clear in speaking to Britney that we wanted Mamba on the yard and playing. After sometime of being on hold, and speaking to people, Mamba was eventually allowed as a trial. I was still being charged for both play and a room since it was a trial. Mamba did fine. When I called later to check if she had a break, I was informed that she did and enjoyed her Kong. I let it be. My mother picked her up, kept her for the weekend but dropped her off Monday morning for a bath, trimming and play time. Again, she did fine. No complaints from them about her behavior. When picking her up, I found a 2 day old Kong in her bag. It was in a ziplock bag, which I eventually threw away. Her nails weren't trimmed because the groomer said Mamba was kicking her and "not into it". This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I trust Wag to take care of my girl when I'm gone and to say that they've done something, and NOT do it, isn't how a business should be ran. If the accommodations asked are too much, then let it be known rather than fibbing and not knowing at all. So, we've invested in finding something more for Mamba because we will not bring her back here. When I've come across other furents, and have charged my experience, the stories I here are nearly as concerning or more. It's sad to write this as I've been pretty happy in previous and overall experiences but unfortunately, it took a turn. read more

I have no words for what happened to my fur baby during his stay in December I glad I picked him up a day early to discover how dirty and smelly he was and his paw injured and he had no food left over for the next if he had stayed, and to place my dog on the ground of the lobby when I picked him up and just walk away. Why don't you get cameras in the front and not just in the back. Don't asked if you can bathe my dog, you should have bathe him as a courtesy since your groomer quit. All you could offer was discount for grooming and not an upgrade on a room or a free overnight stay. I'm not certain of the size of the room and as many times as he stayed here, with your professional knowledge you can determine if the room perhaps, maybe too small for my pet? This is not a review about Wag Hotel - Carson. They have been great, but this is about Wag Hotel pricing and policies. I boarded my dog for one night in a medium room at $71.00. It was late at night when I picked my dog up and did notice that I was charged $84.00. I contacted Wag Hotel and was advised that there is a $13.00 charge for peak season. The employee advised me that it is in fine print when I make the reservation. I did find the fine print and I should have been more careful when making the reservation, but never saw that before and I have been taking my dog there for several years. The price of putting my dog in a cage is almost as much for a cheap hotel room and has continually gone up. Rather than try to hide charges, they should be up front with all cost and advise what/when they determine what is "peak season." UPDATE - JULY 29TH Again, this ireview is not about the Wag Hotel in Carson. The staff is always excellent. I received a call from Tiffany (manager), and we discussed the incident. She understood my position and even offered to reimburse me for the additional fees. My whole family & I went on vacation & we had to board our 2 babies Niko & Kona. The hotel was awesome!! We got the deluxe suite. It was quite, had a TV & a camera in the suite. Having a TV made our babies feel more like home. The camera was great!! We could check in on our babies any time of day or night! That put us at easy just being able to see them whenever we wanted too, as we have only boarded them 2 times prior. We got pictures from Wag everyday & that staff was just amazing! Let me to say that we love Wag Hotel South Bay/Carson! We have been searching for a daycare that has flexible hours in terms of our work schedule and also our future vacation schedule. We appreciated the fact that Wag Hotel has 24/7 hours so it was perfect for us. It is also in close proximity to where we live so it is excellent for our needs. As background, we've been taking our dog Tauntaun to Wag Hotel since she was 4 months old because we were worried she was under socialized. She now loves to interact (more like bark!) at other dogs and enjoys running around the play yard. Sometimes they have things for her to do like playing with toys or even swimming in pools. Our dog comes home happy and tired at the end of the day. For All Day Play, the hours are generous from 7 AM to 7 PM. They also include a camera feed that starts around 9-10 AM and end around 4-5 PM. As a dog parent, the camera feed is important to me because I would like to check in from time to time to see how my dog Tauntaun is doing. It's so heartwarming to see the staff interact with her and see them cuddling with her. Tiffany and her crew do a great job with taking care of the dogs and making sure there is no rough play. All Day Play is expensive just like other daycares, but they do offer packages for people who take their dogs to daycare often. We boarded Tauntaun for the first time about a month ago and had a very positive experience. Tiffany makes sure that they provide a report card for Tauntaun every day which provides a cute picture of her along with how she's been doing. It's up to you if you want to check in on your dog which involves calling their main 888 number. I've noticed overtime that the voice automation when you call has changed for the better. It used to be difficult to get a hold of the Carson facility but now they make it a lot easier. My main takeaway from taking my dog Tauntaun to Wag Hotel was that I have somewhere I can trust and the staff will make sure she is in good hands. This is the the worst dog hotel. I've had numerous issues but today topped it. Everything from my dogs bag was misplaced with little to no remorse from the workers on site. This is disgusting. My dogs private items were all gone and I was given an empty bag as if that was acceptable. Do not bring your dog here. This has to be the worse dog hotel in Los Angeles and should be shut down. ****As an update a week later, no sign of my dogs stuff & I was only refunded $69 as they felt this was sufficient replacement of the snacks and was told this is all that they could do. I was really nervous about leaving my baby here but he loved it. I just went on a 4 day cruise with my family and I had to board him. I rescued him 2 years ago and have never boarded him before because I was scared that he'd think I'm abandoning him. They took such great care of him and they sent me daily photos so that I could see he was having a great time. Those photos were a huge plus because I could see that he was happy and seeing that, eased my nerves and allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation. MUST READ! I typically do not write reviews. However, this needs to be said. I've had a 15 year old shih tzu who I've always boarded atWag everytime I went on vacation in Northern Cali. However, I decided to board my other 1.5 year old here at the Carson location due to last-minute work meetings. Staff: David was great helping me book my reservation for a large room. I dropped off my dog 845AM and was told by Bella (front desk) there was no large room available and that a medium room will do just fine for my 65lbs dog (when the website clearly states medium room is for dogs weight limit 45lbs). That was a red flag already. Is my dog really comfortable or just stuffed in a tight box?! I recieved a call that my dog was a bit aggressive at other dogs during the first play hour and was informed that they had to take her out of play, which was fine and would try again tomorrow if not, there would be an extra $50 charge just to take her out to pee and poo due to labor?! Again, my dog was in the playgroup and notified me at 840am that she wasn't comfortable around other dogs and was on defense mode. Perhaps, obviously, my dog was not feeling safe, and I immediately said I would pick her up in the next 30 minutes. I show up, Bella (front desk) tells me that my bill is $87 due to an hour being late for pick up (when her original stay was for 2 nights and I am picking her up earlier). It went down to $81. I asked why $81? She said because she was put in a large room. I then mentioned that when I dropped her off, there was no large room available, and Bella stated a medium room would be fine. I was never informed they ended up putting my dog in a large room. Or are they just saying that and never changed the original reservation?! She adjusted the total and said they provided a room upgrade? Then why charge me for an upgrade? What?! While checking out, another worker asked me while going to get my dog.. does my dog have any belongings? Do they not know? How do they monitor what belongs to what dogs?! On top of that, I picked up my dog at 930am... they did not even let her pee or poo. My dog was eager to rush out the door to go pee and poo. TOTAL LACK OF CARE!!! I've boarded my dog many places and have been around many social groups/pets with no issues. I even have my dog trained by professionals who train service animals for individuals with diabities. Now a days it's hard to find a trustworthy place. I rate this place 0 stars. Staff was not welcoming. Place smells like piss. I don't care if you're busy -- hire more staff. Back to basic, and this place has a lack of customer service and care. This makes wag hotel credibility go down! More like Wag gone wrong! I knew I should have went with my gut the first time I went in. The staff was not welcoming.. you will know and feel it if the staff really is sincere and is very passionate about pets and not just entering their names in the system and sticking them in the back and collecting payments. We moved to the area and needed to a needed a new day play and dog boarding place. Others in the area had open kennel which does not work well with our dog. Our dog comes home so exhausted from playing all day which what our pup needs for socialization. Wag hotels make it so convenient if anything comes up and we need a safe place for our dog to play and/or sleep. They offer large rooms with a camera which you can check on your dog either if he is sleeping at night or on a time out. Added plus is if you buy packages for day play you can drop off your day very early morning or late in the evening. This is perfect if we take a day trip without our dog or taking a light at early/late hours. They are located off the 405 which is a perfect location and easy to get in and out. My experience with Wag has been positive during each visit. I've brought my pup Gale here a few times, and each visit has been great! What's been really helpful for me is that Wag is open 24 hours. This allows for flexibility in dropping off my pup, which has been super helpful. I don't have to worry about scheduling an overnight stay after hours, like with some other pet boarding places. The intake process when I bring my pup in is easy. There are times where they are really busy (7am ish), but it's no issue as long as I plan for it. Usually I can walk right up to the counter and speak to one of the employees. They check my reservation and I can tell them if I want any add-ons. The intake process seems to take around 5-10 minutes. All staff that I've encountered have been very friendly and welcoming. They have been helpful in answering all of my questions (of which there are many). I can tell they treat my pup well because he's always happy to see them! During my initial tour, and every time I've returned, the facility has been tidy and clean. It does smell doggy, but that's kind of to be expected since it's a pet hotel! The inside play areas are nice and big, and the outside play area (Wagkiki Beach) is really cute. One of the things I love is that I'm able to see what my pup is up to during the day on the wag cam; it's such a great feature! My partner and I love taking Gale here! We drive all the way from Orange County to board our dog here when traveling. He leaves happy and enjoys his play time. I also like we can view him on the camera and see how he is enjoying his playtime. The only thing I wish is was a little more economical because it adds up between play times, washes and stay but overall we trust them with our doggie so we do it. read more

Wag Hotels is a must. Even if you take your dog here just once a week, just do it!! I highly recommend the themed days. Roxy Thelma is 9 months old and has been going to the Wag hotel since she was 5 months old and she LOVES it. The second I say do you want to go to the wag and see your sister she runs to the door. When we pull up she starts crying to get out of the car, runs to the Wag front door and patiently waits, When they let her in she runs straight to the back door to go see her sister and doggie friends. Roxy goes about twice a week and she comes home so tired. Well worth it. Her sister Louise also goes to the wag hotel so these are their play dates. The best part we get to watch them play all day together in the cameras well we are at work. With the new app they also post daily pictures of the dogs!! I had a very hard time the first time I thought about leaving her all day she was a 5 month old puppy and I had never left her with anyone. I called the wag hotel the week I had scheduled her first all day play and asked if I could go tour the place. We setup a time and we went and did a tour. They offer a lot. I've only done all day play and the spa services. Staff is amazing and always so nice. This is just not a job for them they really do love the dogs and know them all by their names. Roxy is always so excited to see them. Roxy is always trying to get on their lap or in their arms. I feel like the staff does a good job of trying to give each dog attention and lap/arm time (for the smaller dogs) during all day play. The staff does a great job cleaning up quickly after the dogs. At first I was taking Roxy lunch and they would pull her out to feed her, but the staff let me know she wasn't eating. The staff does a great job of letting you know if your dogs eating, feeling sick, hurt, etc. The online registration process is easy and booking an appointment takes less then a minute once your registered. What I really love is when I decide to take Roxy Thelma to the wag hotel last minute for all day play and she doesn't have an appointment she can still go !!! I do make sure to book themed days in advance. I have called a couple of times to add on services the same day and they have been able to add on. Give the wag a try, I guarantee your dog and you will love it and keep going back!! read more

I have multiple dogs and They are like family to me. I moved from the San Fernando Valley to the South Bay and I needed to find a place to take my dogs for grooming. I had heard of Wag Hotel's for boarding and for play dates for my dogs but wasn't sure about going there for grooming. I have boarded my dogs and started taking them there for grooming. My dogs not only get to play but they come back looking and smelling good. Siena is the lady that grooms my babies! I call make an appointment and in a few hours my babies are back home. I take my dog here almost every weekend and he loves it. I take him to all day play. By the time i pick him up hes all worn out which i love!. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I love when i walk in they all know Sammy. They know his personality etc. I also get emails here and there about his stay. I had him groomed here as well and they left him looking and smelling fabulous. read more
