I had three small rips on this wool coat and wanted to find an inexpensive but good quality tailor. I went to Wagner Tailoring and I'm so happy with the service! It only took about 2-3 days for my coat to be ready, and when I picked it up, I couldn't even tell where the rips used to be because they stitched it up so well. I paid $25 for all three rips to be fixed which was a good price. When you drop off your item, they'll give you a receipt that outlines the service being charged and the price. I brought in a bridesmaids dress to have cut and brought in a bit at the top. The cut at the bottom was not straight at all, with one side visibly higher than the other. The top part of the dress was equally poorly done and when I asked if anything else could be done at the top to make it look like it wasn't baggy, I was told no. I know they offer free alterations if not satisfied with the work but I don't trust them to fix anything if they can't even cut a dress straight at the bottom. I went to another tailor who looked at the work and said it was very poorly done and the other tailor is redoing the entire dress for me. The biggest waste of $100 at this place. read more

Good tailor in FiDi. Decently fast, good value, but not super boujee high tier. You'll get what you asked for, but with some rough edges. Clothes might come back a bit dusty or have some extra seams sticking out. But for NYC standards this is cheap, so anything under $500 I wouldn't mind having fixed here. read more

I need to give these guys another shout out they are honest efficient and great tailoring with great prices. Brought a jacket in where the zipper wasn't working they easily could've replaced the entire zipper but they repaired it instead for $12 versus 30 for a new zipper. read more

Very frustrating customer service. I came in for some minor alterations to a pant. Wagner could not have been less interested, he told me the amount I wanted to taper "wasn't worth it" (apparently he was making that decision for m). He continued to throw up road blocks, "the overlock stitching won't match" me: "can we make it match?" "Wagner: "no." He said: "just get a smaller size pant." (I've already worn the pants, also -- didn't ask for that advice.) To solve one of the issues he surfaced, he told me just don't wear the pants rolled up. After 10 mins of him fighting back at the alteration I was requested, I asked for the pants back, and he was more than happy to do so. That was probably the nicest and happiest he was in our exhausting exchange. I would have respected him more if he just said he wasn't going to alter the pants for whatever personal or business reason. He has every right to refuse service. read more

Great tailor, and reasonable prices! I've gotten many garments tailored here and they've all come out perfectly. I've had sleeves shortened on a suit. I've had an oversized horse leather jacket taken in around the arms and body. And I've had simple stuff done as well, like having jeans hemmed. Highly recommended.
