Good customer service. Food was good, but the amount of food was ridiculous, we went to another place to eat more hehehe. The restaurant is nice, but it needs to be clean, a lot of flies, even the sugar container had a dead fly. It was disgusting.

Spent a weekend in Carmel and found this spot and had breakfast twice during my stay. Everyone was friendly, service was prompt and the ambiance was cozy. Cash or Venmo only options to pay. Will definitely return if I come back to the area.

I've been sitting at this table with four coworker and haven't been acknowledged for 19 minutes. We were sitting in a section with a family of four and a family of two, all of us arrived at the same time. The waiter served the family of four and once she was done; the lady from the family of two got the waiter attention by asking her for a cup of water hen proceeded to place her order.I'm very disturbed with the service and decided not to order anything. Cinnamon roll - frosting was dry and crusty :( not my fave

I was so disappointed in our experience here. I may have been a little too hyped up from the reviews but I was expecting a lot and I'm such a fan of classic country breakfast I thought for sure this would be a favorite place for us. Don't get me wrong the portion sizes were huge (as they should be) but the food was just okay? I also found an eggshell in my poached eggs which just doesn't even make any sense to me. The eggs Benedict (sans eggshell) was pretty tasty though. I also got the side cinnamon roll and the frosting was hard and crusty instead of being nice and soft and gooey (I did ask for it heated so the inside was warm but the outside was not). My husband got the country fried steak and could barely eat it because it was drenched in gravy which made the steak really soggy. It's possible our subpar experience was due to ordering out instead of eating in but unfortunately we didn't have time to come back here. I would give this another shot for indoor dining.

Veggie omelette is excellent! Love the rye toast too. Great, unique ambience with a campy feel. Wonderful food and huge menu with a wide variety of types of dishes !

I've been here a few times but my most recent experiences have changed my opinion on this spot. Service is friendly but that's it. It takes forever for them to come over to take your order and bring your drinks as well as your food. I then have to flag them down to bring me my bill. As for the food, it has to be frozen or something. I've had calamari and chicken fried steak but something was off about them. They tasted like one's you'd get at Denny's. Their eggs are too runny so always ordered them over medium or even hard... I do like their potatoes because they're crispy. Pancakes are wayyy OVERPRICED! $8-9 per pancake is insane. That's basically $18 if you want 2 (and you will as the portions are small). I was charged close to $23 for the berry pancakes. They did not inform about this as the menu just says market price. The price was even more absurd when I find out they're not made from scratch. They used Krusteaz pancake mix... I could have just use that to make them at home and have saved $23... They're definitely trying to scam you. I was sat close to the back and was able to get a look at their kitchen... extremely dirty and messy. Wouldn't be surprised if someone got sick. Overall, this is overpriced, bland food that I would advise to stay away from. Food: 3/10 Service: 5/10

I knew this place was going to be good when i parked and noticed the gentlemen sitting outside with his dog. it gave a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor inside appears it's been collected over many years and I can people come here most likely on the daily. Our wait staff was excellent she made recommendations and gave feedback on what we asked. The menu had Calamari steak and eggs with us a unique option and the Katy Cakes made of oatmeal. They had omelette options not typically combined like the avocado special and loved i didn't have to add or subtract anything from my omelet. Everything was excellent and would recommend to anyone passing through.

I also added a side of bacon and a biscuit with jam. When our food arrived I immediately asked them for butter for my biscuit which then never arrived. At some point my husband got up to ask for butter, while he was gone the server came back and asked how our food was, to which I responded can I please have some butter. She then proceeded to ask me the most ridiculous question of "oh did they not bring you any butter?" To which I responded by presenting her with my butter free table. Oh my husband returned. He told me that apparently they charged $1.50 for butter. When the butter finally arrived more than like 10 or 15 minutes later from the original time that I asked for it, my biscuit was inevitably of course cold. So then when the server did finally come with the butter, I actually told her I was like you know what my biscuit is now cold and I don't have any need for the butter so I just want to send both back. To which she offered to heat up the biscuit... I told her that that wasn't necessary that I just wanted to send it back. When our bill came, they charged us both for the biscuit and for the butter. When my husband let the server know she made a mistake and she forgot to remove the biscuit and butter her she then told him that she had to go talk to her manager. At this point, I already thought it was a little bit weird that she had to have a conversation with her manager about something that she need to remove from the bill, but whatever I didn't really think much of it. A couple minutes later, the manager arrives and asks us if we had any issues with the bill. I let her know that they didn't remove the butter or the biscuit after we sent it back. To which she then now had a new argument for me saying that we had been told on the menu that they charge $1.50 for butter... That wasn't the dispute the dispute was that we sent everything back untouched. So why would we be charged for it? She then proceeded to argue with me telling me that I was very rude. And then she rolled her eyes and only spoke to my husband from that point on. Of course, they ended up removing the butter and the biscuit which by the way came out to a total of $7.50 when she returned, she told me to never come back to the restaurant again. I have never in my life been told any such thing. But, worry not this unnecessarily pretentious group of stationaery employees... I shall never return to this establishment again you couldn't pay me to come back and re-experience this extremely underwhelming throw away of a service ever again.

It's tasty and hits the spot, but for those who prefer espresso drinks (lattes, flat whites, etc) you may have to stop elsewhere The granola was actually some of the best granola I've had in recent memory. It was simple yet delicious Check the sign in the main entryway for daily specials. There is also a lunch/dinner menu. And they have alcohol on their drink menu as well Parking would be difficult, so, you may need to park off the main drag, but it shouldn't be hard to find something, and the walk is fairly scenic Cheers!!

Rita checked on us often, brought out treats and water for our dogs and was just amazing. Food: The braised corn beef hash: was absolute perfection... I love corn beef hash and this take with the braised corned beef just spoils you with deliciousness. The poached egg was perfect, I have never braised corned beef but I'm going to learn to try and make a dish like this. My wife got the chicken and waffles, and she gave me some and it was perfect, the one thing that hit the most was the breading on the chicken was so delicious , they made sure the flavor complemented the sweetness of the waffle and syrup, the chicken was tender and with the waffle it was just something else. I also tried their biscuit and gravy and it was so good. The sausage in the gravy and the flavor was so delicious.
