I love the Wagyukushi spot in the Don Don Donki! It's the perfect lunch after shopping around the store. They really only have two things on their menu - the steak and the wagyukushi. I got a plate of each. Every order is made fresh, so you do have to wait around for about 10 minutes. The meat is extremely flavorful, and even the lettuce in the plates is surprisingly enjoyable to eat. It has a nice crunch and is buttered and seasoned to perfection. The steak is a little tough, so I prefer the thinly sliced wagyukushi. I really liked the garlic chips that were on the steak. Finally came here! Located in Donki Kapolei. I got wagyu kishi plate lunch. $16.99. I thought it is pricey but tried. They cook after order, it took like 15min-20min. Finally had lunch at the Don Don Donki Kapolei food court! I've been hesitant ordering any hot food from the food court from looking at the "mid" Yelp ratings, but hubby was craving Wagyu Kushi after trying it once. This spot has its own bar seating, but if you don't want to smell like meat, you can sit at the general food court area, or take the food to-go. Things to keep in mind, which my hubby downplayed: - Maybe not the best place to go if you're in a rush. We waited 15 minutes for our steak and wagyu kushi plates lunches. Plate lunches are made to order. It's no wonder I always see lines here. I imagine it would be a nightmare coming her during the lunch rush. - Run away from the mac salad! One bite made me lose my appetite for a few minutes. I don't normally say this, but I could not finish the mac salad, and neither could my husband. My husband isn't a picky eater, but dislikes mac salad with too much mayo! I'd prefer if they cooked their mac more al dente and lightened the amount of mayo. I'm also hoping tossed salad would be an alternative to mac salad! I do appreciate the very subtle hints of wasabi on the meats, and I liked the meats and value of the plates more than Teppanyaki Farmer in Ala Moana. As I get older and eat less red meat, I find it harder to finish steak plates, especially when there's not a lot of vegetables. I thought the romaine lettuce under the meats was a nice touch. This was still a worthwhile visit as it curbed my hubby's craving (I choose the food spots 90% of the time!), and I can say I finally tried hot food at the Don Don Donki food court. Wagyu beef isn't just for the fancy expensive restaurants. At this little stall in the DonDon Donki, Wagyu Kisha is quick and delicious for a reasonable price. The skewers I had were tasty and worth the price. The miso soup is passable and the Mac salad is ok. But we're here for the beef and it's was yummy! The staff is friendly and helpful when you want to ask questions. If you want to, you can sit right at the bar and watch them prep your food if you are so inclined. read more

Went to Donki to get ingredients to make lunch and really wanted to try the wagyu skewers every since they opened so I ordered two at the counter. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. First bite of the wagyu skewer was mid. The sauce saves it a little bit but in general for the price and quality you think you're going to get is not there. Filled with fat and I usually like a good mix of fat and meat in my food but I had to spit the fat out. I thought the meat would've tasted tender considering it was "wagyu" but it just tasted like thin brisket stacked on a stick. It was an experience to try it but will be my last. read more

I tried Wagyu Kushi when we went to a Don Don Donki in Singapore and remember liking it. So when I saw it at this location, I wanted to try it here. We only got the skewers (2 for $12.99). We waited maybe about 10 minutes. The person cooking was just churning them out because it seemed like there were a lot of lunch orders since it was prime lunchtime. I liked the little sauce it came with - it had a lot of umami. It's best eaten immediately while still hot since it's pretty fatty, and cold fatty/oily foods are pretty gross. I have to give this review a 4.7/5...the minus 0.3 is due to the Mac salad :( I really like their wagyu sticks as they are tender, great sauce, and comes with rice. It really fills me up, but the Mac salad isn't the greatest. They're located in the food court area of Donki which is great because there's so many table and chairs. During the work week, it doesn't take too long for you to get your food. I am a fan of the sticks and it's enough to bring me back again in the future. read more

It specializes in wagyu beef and only has really 2 items on its menu - wagyu beef steak and wagyu beef skewers. The skewers can be bought ala carte but the $15.99 lunch special plate is the better option, adding mac salad, rice with furikake, and a roasted romaine heart. The steak was unfortunately cooked well done by default but was still tender. It's not A5 for this price but definitely isn't cheap steak. The skewers use a different cut of tinner meat stacked up but was also tasty. There is a lengthy wait as the cook prepares each steak to order but, for this price, you can't really beat it. read more

Visited Wagyu Kushi located at the food court section near the exit area of the recently opened Don Don Donki, on Wed. 2/26/25, at 1:30p. Wagyu Kushi opened 2 weeks ago, the same day as Don Don Donki. The aroma of sizzling Wagyu beef called out to my senses, as I was done with my shopping. Luckily there were only 2 guests in front of me in the line. The cashier said they normally sellout of their Wagyu Kushi Plate Lunch. I ordered 2 of the Wagyu Kushi Plate Lunches to take home. They also had the Wagyu Steak Plate lunch on the menu. They weren't selling the individual skewers at this time, though. Eventually they will. I asked if they take phone orders and at this time they do not. The Wagyu Kushi Plate Lunch was composed of 2 skewers of grilled Wagyu Beef, Japanese potato salad, a scoop of rice and a large leaf of grilled Romaine lettuce, and a sauce for the meat. We enjoyed the succulent and marbled slices of seasoned beef that were sliced on the skewers. I enjoyed eating the beef without the sauce. The flavoring was perfect and didn't need the sauce. The Japanese potato salad was nice and cold with a subtle flavor that had a nice crunch with a sliver of cucumber in it as well. The grilled Romaine lettuce added texture to the dish. The rice with a sprinkle of Furikake and sesame seeds rounded out the plate. The meal was enjoyable. Although the wait was 20 minutes, it is well worth it. Some people left to do shopping while some people like me watched the chefs preparing our Wagyu Beef on the grill. We will definitely be back to Wagyu Kushi to try their Steak plate next. read more

Once a month, on the 29th, they offer Japanese wagyu for $49/plate--we've yet to try it, but it's definitely on our list. The first time I came here we got the A5 wagyu plate which was $40 discounted opening price. The normal price is $50. Very expensive but it was sooo good. The second time we tried the skewers and it was also good and much, much cheaper. I paid $13 for 2. You can also get it in a plate if you want but we just wanted a snack. The wait can get kind of long, at least 20 mins since there's only 1 cook but I think it's worth it if you're not in a rush. There's lot of seating since it's in the food court of Donki but they also have a counter you can sit at as well. read more

Portions are out the ass and it's made to order so while you wait a tad it's worth it and if you like watching you can as it's just glass to the grill so u can cruise and watch the magic. I'm glad this is so cheap (this economy is dumb that this is a deal) but with this level of portions and speed I can't complain and will make a trip from all areas of the island to this place. 10 mins standing in line just to order. Everything is made to order but every plate is the same. Steak or (2) Wagyu skewers with rice, macaroni salad, and grilled romaine lettuce for $15.99 I ordered 3 plates - all marked with my name and labeled 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 - I watched the cashier write them all. They use different colored boxes to differentiate a steak plate from a wagyu skewer plate. About 10 more minutes pass and I see both my Wagyu plates come up to the cashier and my order was the next to be called but then the chef in the black coat and chef cap hands the steak plate to an EMPLOYEE who ordered about 5 people after me. Said employee looks right at me as he walks away with the plate. So I walk up to the counter and ask the cashier what happened to my third plate - the other two are right there. I tell her that I saw the chef give it to the Employee. She says, "oh I don't know" but then proceeds to quietly tell the chef he needs to fire another steak and get it to the front of the line. I still wait while THE CHEF TALKS ON THE PHONE. Meanwhile name after name after name are called out. I think it's safe to say EVAN was the employee who got my plate so he didn't have to wait because no one ever claimed that plate. Wanted to try this place out after hearing so many good things. We ordered the wagyu skewers plate and the wagyu steak plate. It was pretty busy since it was lunchtime on a holiday. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. Overall thought the food was good and good for the price. We really liked the teriyaki sauce that came on the side. The skewers were good but I definitely won't be ordering it again. Half of the skewer was straight fat. The steak on the other hand was really tender considering that it is cooked well done.
