We came to the Irvine spectrum expecting to grab dinner and drinks and watch a World Cup game. Big mistake. Every place was absolutely packed. Then we decided to try Wahoos and they saved the day. This location has a small bar area and TV, and they were able to seat us right away! Service was perfect, and the food and beer were excellent. They have a great selection of drinks. Definitely keeping this spot in mind for next time. Thanks to you all!!!!!

Blackened fish Taco combo with chicken taquitoes.

The good: service was excellent. The bad: they had no white beans available Friday, June 12th approx. 11:15AM ( they open at 11AM). I assume the lack of white beans was some kind of prep failure. I had the black beans instead with my fish Taco combo which aren't my favorite. The chicken taquitoes I ordered are one of my favorite menu items, but they were undercooked/not crispy. It feels like the 'B' team is working today or they are training new cooks and the supervision is lacking. Maybe they've had turnover in personnel recently, but standards, quality, and consistency matter IMO.

Staff: The team here was nice but Luis was really great. He was the one who brought us our food. Luis asked if we needed anything and about where the salsa was. He was genuinely interested in our happiness which was so appreciated. Quality: The food was good. Street tacos were tasty with the green salsa being pretty spicy. Shrimp bonsai bowl was tasty. Kids carne asada bowl was okay not too much flavor. Value: Pricing is fair. Overall: We have been here a few times and always been happy. They have a cool ambiance with old school skate boards though out which is cool. We will be back I'm sure when we come to the Spectrum again.

Delicious food that is healthy and portioned well. Had it to go and the meals were packaged nicely. The tacos were all very delicious, and the chipotle salad had lots of fish. One of the more popular places in the spectrum center. Creatively designed interior with friendly staff.

Very impressed by the large variety of selections available in the menu. We've had tacos here before, but what we really enjoyed the last couple times was the salads. Plenty of vegan choices and the salad was a good size with lots of choices. We had the fried fish, but also the grilled fish and the tofu. Seating is okay, the place has its own personality, resembling a small beachside shop. It was not busy when we visited during a weekday lunch time. Staff and service were good, everyone seemed to care about the customers, something that is missing at most shops these days. Finally, we used one of the mall coupons which made it one of the more reasonably priced places to eat at Spectrum so we will definitely be back.

Taco plate was ok. Not much chicken. Good portion rice and beans. Bathroom not clean.

Food:Great, got the protein bowl, doubled on the fish Service: The citrus coleslaw was delicious, although the girl told me it was just lime juice & something else but no sugar, hopefully that's true since I cant have sugar. Loved the spicy fish, although it wasn't spicy but good nonetheless. The veggies were a little soggy for my taste. Ambiance: cool & trendy vibe Price: $20 for the bowl. Will be back!

First time at this location. Was grabbing lunch on our way home from SD. The ladies who took my order and served us our food was really nice. This place is clean. It must have been last year since I was at Wahoo's but the menu looked a bit different. I normally get the skinny bowl or outter reef burrito but I didn't see the skinny bowl but saw a Wahoo's bowl instead my husband and I both got one with asada and crispy fish. I loved that they had all the condiments out/ self serve. We don't have that option at our local Wahoo's. Everything was delicious as always, the carne asada was tender the crunchy fish was crunchy tasted like a fish o'filet. Only thing was order did take a while to come out we waited about 20mins other than that everything was great.

Baja fish tacos and an orange tequila cocktail

I used to think Wahoo's was my second choice for fish tacos after Rubio's but my recent trip might have switched that up. I ordered my favorite SoCal food item, Baja style fish tacos. I switched up the usual rice and beans on the plate with the spicy white beans and slaw. Highly recommend the white beans over the black beans. They have a bit more flavor and softer, creamier texture. The slaw is very fresh - felt and tasted like they cut the fresh that day and was dressed lightly in a fancy lime dressing. It's not heavy or mayonnaisey like slaw from the grocery store or KFC. The fish taco is also dressed with the slaw, providing a nice bright crunch to the taco. One taco with the sides made me quite full, but I am sure most people will prefer to fill up on the two taco plate. They have a variety of salsas to choose from along with pickled jalapenos. The food was nicely seasoned and didn't really need more salsa but any of the salsas are good and you can't go wrong. The spiciest is not that spicy so you can doctor that up with other hot sauces and jalapenos to your liking. They built a nice small bar at the back since I last came and offered a good selection of beers and cocktails at reasonable prices. I ordered the Bitter Orange and asked for no agave, which they accommodated kindly. The drink was beautiful and strong. At $9.50, this was a steal of a deal for such a quality cocktail. I would love to come back to try some other drinks. They have a variety of flavored margaritas, Mai tais, and a full bar so you could probably order custom drinks too. The menu looks to have expanded to include fried fish sandwiches, street tacos, churro bites and more. I have renewed my love for Wahoo's and highly recommend them for well priced fresh food at good prices!

3.5** Cute spot for a quick bite! The food was good, but showed up a bit cold, and was pretty expensive for what we ordered. For the price the burritos should come with a side at least. The service was good. We got burritos and tacos. I wish they had fries as a side option, but the sauces were delicious! Especially the green one. Overall not too bad, but I might try a different spot next time I'm in town.

I looove the Irvine Spectrum. There's so many food spots here. My bf and I came here to wait out the traffic. We decided to try this spot for dinner. Parking: There's free parking lots and parking garages. Easy to find a spot on weekdays and difficult on the weekends. Ambiance/Environment: Love the interior decor. They have a beach, skater, surfer theme. There's plenty of indoor seating with a good amount of outdoor seating too. Perfect for all group sizes. Service: It wasn't as busy on a Tuesday night. There was only one cashier at the time. We did wait a while to order, but a second cashier finally came and took us to the bar to order. We didn't catch her name, but she was quick and efficient. What we ordered: 1) Mr. Lee's Scream'n Chicken Burrito - Mr. Lee's chili sauce was absolutely flavorful! Apparently it's suppose to be "spicy," but I didn't think it was spicy at all. I think it'd be better without the mushrooms. Other than that, it was still good though! 2) Hawaiian Onion Ring Burrito - My bf made this a combo with white rice and black beans. This burrito was also flavorful and filled! All the ingredients went well together. The rice & beans tasted as expected. 3) Cajun Fries - I like their version of Cajun. It's not the usual Cajun seasoning we're familiar with. We really enjoyed it! Pricing: It was definitely worth its price. We left fulfilled and satisfied!

We often stop by here if we want a fast casual affordable meal at the Spectrum. The added bonus is that they have a full bar so you can grab a real drink if you need one after spending all your money shopping. It's a large corner spot close to the center of the complex so it's easily accessible. They have both indoor and outdoor seating where you can people watch. The lines can get long, but the service is quick and friendly.

$6 for two tiny tacos ($10.74) with coerced tip. Watch for scale.
    Ryan R.

Built in 20% tip on the order? I ordered and was told the total. I pay and the receipt handed had 20% tip on it. I was never prompted to tip. Is it really necessary to do this to patrons? Not sure if it was the cashier or if this is what wahoos does to everyone. Either way I'm never coming back.

Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

I was surprised by how empty the restaurant was when we arrived, especially since I remember this being one of the hardest places to get a reservation a few years ago. When we were first seated, our table felt a little cramped for the size of our party. We asked if we could move, and the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to select a more comfortable table on the other side of the restaurant. It's been a few years since my last visit, and my family usually comes here for weekend dim sum rather than dinner. From what I remember, the portions seemed a little smaller this time around, but the overall quality of the food wasn't bad. A few dishes were slightly saltier than I prefer, but the Peking duck and Braised Beef Stew Clay Pot were easily the highlights of the meal. Both were incredibly flavorful, and the meat was fall-apart tender. The service, however, felt a bit disorganized throughout the evening. There were several occasions where we had to flag someone down for extra napkins, utensils, and additional tableware. Not anything major, but it did take away from the overall dining experience. On the plus side, the prices were very reasonable considering how many people we were feeding. Overall, it's still a solid option if you're craving Chinese food, especially for larger groups.

When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one on-site (on a Saturday night). To their credit, a server named Isaac stepped in, sorted it out with the kitchen, and comped the laksa with genuine apologies. This wasn't an isolated issue -- a few months back we had a similarly long wait, blamed that time on training a new cook during a busy shift.
