First time at this location but I have had their food before. This location is nice, lots of indoor and outdoor space and a little bar with a TV in the back. We had a coupon for a buy 1 get 1 taco or enchilada plate. I ordered the crispy (fried) fish and my husband ordered the grilled fish. For an extra 50 cents you can substitute the rice or beans it normally comes with for a citrus salad. So I replaced the rice. The taco was very good. We were worried one taco wouldn't be enough so we also ordered a side of chips and guac. Turned out with the guac the meal was perfect. They also have a salsa bar (other wahoos dont have a self serve salsa bar). And they would bring you extra chips if you run out of your first serving. Wahoo's is one of my all-time favorite places. We miss the one that was closest to us so everytime were up in the Irvine area we make sure to stop and bring food home. Jameson of course loves the battered fish tacos and my favorite is the chicken tortilla soup and the Baja rolls. Bailey and Joel love the burritos. I don't think we've ever had anything bad from Wahoo's. I didn't see then last night but if you find the churro chips and the pineapple margarita they are must tries too! The skinny margarita is worth noting the highlight of the meal. The Skinny Margarita was great, the service fast, but the Fish Tacos were awful. The tortillas had that "one day too old smell" listen I'm Mexican I ate tortillas everyday as a child and growing up. And these tortillas had a funky amell. The fish was cold when I got my tacos at best they were room temp and no flavor.. I added so much tapatio and still it did nothing for my taste buds. I will definitely not be back for the fish tacos. Now my boyfriend had the chicken enchilada and black beans/white rice combo and his meal was good. A solid 3 stars, not horrible not stellar. This location is pretty slow around lunch time on weekdays. Food comes our fast and you can't beat the price! Portions are on the small side but the food is so inexpensive, you can order more than one thing and still be under $11-15 per person. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. They will bring out your food to you. All the workers were so polite and especially friendly to my toddler, which as a mom in a restaurant is greatly appreciated! I've eaten here many times over the last 7 or 8 years. The most momentous meal I've had here was with a special woman. It was here, several years ago, that I met my future wife for the first time and we had our first meal together. I'll admit to being a fan of Wahoo's. I always seem to order the same thing - 2 cajun chicken enchiladas in green sauce with white rice and black beans. I also get an iced tea. Today was no different; that was my exact order and it was delicious. I also ordered some chips and their fantastic smokey-tasting salsa which were also very good but, unlike a Mexican restaurant, are NOT complimentary (but not too expensive). I always find the food runners to be friendly and eager to please, happy to bring anything you need whether it's an extra napkin or some more green sauce. Andrew D. got me hooked on Wahoo's foods after our gym workouts and I can't help but order a batch of their chips and salsa. For 2 people, we usually end up paying less than $13. After look at our options we decided to go to Wahoo's because we haven't had it in so long, plus the patio area is dog friendly :) I had my husband sit down at a table while I got us a menu. I ordered the banzai veggie bowl with cajun fish and shrimp with cajun white beans and brown rice & my husband ordered the bula burrito with cajun fish, black beans and brown rice. We also ordered the baja rolls to share and we both got a 22 oz beer. The total was around $30 which is a pretty good deal. Our order came out fast and everything tasted great. I asked them for a side of "Mr. Lee's spicy chili sauce" it wasn't even spicy :( such a disappointment. I would definitely come back next time we're at the spectrum and we want a quick bite. I never leave a review of the place but felt like I have to. Waited almost half hour for a to-go shrimp bowl (ordered it no rice no beans, only shrimp, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole).
