Very well seasoned beef tacos and consume sauce is yummy with chopped red onions and cilantro. You'll get a side of pieces of lime, diced onion and chopped cilantro inside a plastic baggie to add to your taco plate. Cheese can be added for no extra charge. Ordered the "Trio tacos" and the "Birria ramen" each both priced at $15.99. A side of a small cup of white pinto beans is $3.99. The plates should automatically come with a small side bcz if you ordered 3 tacos, a side of consume ($2.99) and a small side for $3.99-it comes up to at least $5 cheaper than the titled plate offered on the menu. Just sayin' The dining room was very clean and plenty of seating. Parking is close, as this location was originally an old Taco Bell establishment. Birria Tacos- For a reasonable price, this was delicious! The tortilla is fresh and soft. The meat is juicy and oh so tender. You also get a generous amount of filling. Although they give you a lot of meat, seems very fresh, and is perfectly cooked, I felt that it was lacking in flavor. I like the tacos de birria best, but I wish they would make the taco size smaller so that they are easier to eat and you can eat more tacos at one time. The tacos sauve were a little too greasy for my liking. I wish the meat and consume were more flavorful, but overall a satisfying meal and reasonably priced. Not really sure why so many mediocre reviews - mostly complaining about the wait and rudeness related to the drive-thru it sounds like. I have been coming since the weekend they opened and eaten at this location well over 10+ times (yes I love birria) with no issue. Granted, I always order inside - it is quick and easy. If you dine they bring it to you - even if you sit at their tents outside. My food has always been fresh, hot and delicious. Also in case you're wondering this is birria DE RES (which means of beef) as it states on the sign - the review who stated it is goat is WRONG. In Mexico they traditionally use goat but trust me, if they were using goat you would know cuz it is very gamey. I have been to several other birria places in OC and this is by far my fav. Tacos were great, but this is a time that I definitely over ordered. My wife got the Ramen Birria and wanted to have a taco Dorado, one of the kids wanted one or two "hard tacos", the other wanted a quesadilla and I wanted some of everything. For the four of us I ordered one kid's combo (for the quesadilla), the ramen for my wife, the trio taco plate (one Quesabirria, 2 tacos dorados), 3 tacos de birria, and 3 tacos dorados. I figured this should cover everyone...and it did...by a lot. The quesadilla was good sized, so half was eaten at the restaurant and half was taken home. The tacos dorados were the perfect size, of the 5 ordered only one was left after dinner. The Quesabirria and the tacos de birria were huge. They came on freshly made tortillas and had a good serving of meat. Since the tacos were so big, I ended up taking a couple home and I was pleased to find out that they do heat up as leftovers pretty well. The consome was pretty good. It was OK as is, but adding the utilizing the provided cilantro and onion and mixing in their salsa added to the flavor and gave it a good spice. The medium salsa has some heat, and the hot is hot (which I'm a fan of). Each order came with a side of the consome, so we had plenty four our tacos...even the ones that we ended up taking home. Plenty of salsa, onion, cilantro, and lime was provided. The staff was super friendly and was quick to get us the food and anything else we needed (like to go containers). There are multiple locations spread out over LA and Orange counties. If you are looking for some good beef birria, I would definitely recommend Birrieria Guadalajara. I can't speak for all of their locations but the one in Orange does have a drive thru. And for those that expect birria tacos to have goat meat, the logo is a picture of a cow, so they aren't trying to pass it off as anything other than beef. read more

I've been here a half dozen times and I love this place. It clearly says birria "de res" on the sign, so don't come here expecting goat! I love to eat the burrito with lime and chili sauce, but they offer other hot sauces as well. While burritos at most places are 80% rice and beans, their burrito are just meat -- no fluff! The food is 5 stars but the drive thru is 3 stars. After paying, I've received my order in as little as 2 minutes and as long as 15 minutes. There is no real reason for the difference, as I'm usually the only one there. Looking through the drive thru window (longingly for my food!), I see people working, but it's not clear what they are doing. Also, since birria is a slow cooked meat, one would assume that it's a matter of putting the meat into a tortilla and wrapping it up. Maybe the business will streamline this in the future. read more

In the midst of this cold winter season, the Southern California Gas Company decided to raise the natural gas prices up to 127% from the usual rate. So we decided not to use the heater until the price settles down. Suffering from cold and famine on a taco Tuesday night, I was on a desperate search for something hearty that would satisfy my cold & empty stomach! Behold, the Yelp app! The search directed me to the best thing I can get on the busy Chapman Avenue in the rush hour traffic towards the freeway. I mean, driving down the hill and coming back home took a while, but it was worth the travel at the end. Birria!!! The slowly cooked & simmered beef with chiles and seasonings brought the warmth I was craving. I don't get the low rating for this chain restaurant. The drive thru was quick and easy (on two occasions). The person at the order window was very friendly and courteous. There were no rudeness or mistakes on my orders. The best thing about the place is that the food comes out hot and fresh. Everything tasted good. My hubs did not care for the handmade tortilla because it kept falling apart (he doesn't like messy hands) but loved the dorado tacos. I enjoyed the quezabirria very much. Consome is just really good on a cold night as a dipper or just as a sipper! The salsas! The spicy one is muy picante!!! Tomatillo salsa to me also had heat. But the salsas are good. Appreciated the way they package their food. Nothing spilled or moved while I drove the food back home. You have to appreciate the goodness that comes with slowly simmered meat & broth. this place is more like a 3.75 stars out of 5 stars. i believe this place used to be another taco joint, not sure if it was a change in ownership or simply a name/menu change? However, i am glad there is a place closer to my house that serves birria. we utilized the drive through and got handmade tacos with consome and a birria burrito. Out of the two items, the burrito was way better. The meat in the burrito was so juicy and flavrful you really don't need any consome to dip it in. The burrito was well worth the price. As for the tacos, i don't think i'll get them again. They were kinda dry. But i supposed that's what the consome was there for. The consome is light but packs a punch. They also give hot sauce, but honestly all of them were way too spicy and we ended up throwing them away. =/ They also have ramen birria which seems very interesting and something i'll try in the future. The Birria is good, sometimes hit or miss with how much meat they give per taco, some times a lot and sometimes not enough meat. They need to do better with their onions and cilantro- when it comes out of the bag it's almost always soggy and rotten - especially the cilantro- they need to clean and prepare the cilantro fresh more often. Always buy your own fresh onion and cilantro just incase you get sent home with a bad batch. read more

Pretty terrible, all is beef in a different style wrapped tortilla, you can get a burrito with beef only, taco beef only, quesadilla is a different story, they actually add cheese. I got the three tacos thinking there would be more on them, the cilantro and onion were on the side in a bag, tasted pretty dry and bland, they had it come with consume (or however you spell it) the soup, even after blowing on it, and putting it in my mouth it still was incredibly hot and burnt my entire insides. Staff wasn't friendly, and the horchata was okay, lots of cinnamon added. Honestly if it wasn't for the horchata my mouth would have died.
