Food is great and service was excellent! Waitress came and served our big party at the table when it was quiet at lunch time.

Stoped by the other day had cocktails and and a bite to eat out on the patio. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. And the the restaurant was shiny clean and new. Prior to COVID I would I eat here at least once a month. I like to spread my business around. The food is always good and this review doesn't detract from that. However tonight I was on hold for a call in order and forgotten. I finally hung up after 5+ mins on hold to place an order for 4 darn tacos! Called the most popular Mexican restaurant in the area and the phone was immediately answered, order taken and was done in 30 seconds. Service is King! read more

So disappointed. First time here. I ordered two fish tacos and the fish was rubbery, chewy, and quite frankly tasted like it has been microwaved. The fish also seemed like it was precooked, even though it had "grill marks" and our food was out in literally 2 minutes which is another indicator it had been sitting for awhile. Food is great, tasty, well prepared and plenty of options. On several of our visits we were waited on by Brittany who was waiting tables, tending bar and supervising staff!!! AMAZING! I have worked in Los Alamitos for the past 15 years and was excited to see Wahoo's was opening up. I stopped in this week with some co-workers and had a great meal. I got a combo plate with an enchilada and taco it was delicious. The staff is friendly and they came around the tables to see if we needed anything and to pick up our plates. It does get pretty crowded around lunch time but that's to be expected with a new location. My only issue is I did try to order online today and the Los Alamitos location is not available so you can't order ahead and pick-up. read more

My first time eating at a Wahoo's and it was WONDERFUL!!!!! Got a friendly greeting as I walked in and sat at the bar. The bar is beautiful! Lot's of tv's with sports on and the beer is ice cold. The Bartender, Gion, was so great! Very knowledgeable and super friendly! He was so helpful answering all my questions and made the best recommendation! Very disappointing! Not the Wahoo's I've become accustomed too. Bought a child's bowl with tofu as the protein and no beans for $4.90 something. The bowl came with maybe 6 small pieces of tofu. think you'd get more for paying $5. read more

I visited the new Wahoo's in Los Alamitos this week and think it's the best one yet!! I had my favorite- the Maui Steak bowl. It was delicious as always. The service was superb with my food coming out quickly and my server checking to be sure my order was perfect. She also brought me extra limes. There is a great assortment of beers on tap. The bar area is really cool with TVs and they have a huge patio and a beautiful bench that wraps around 3 sides and tables big enough to accommodate large groups. I'll be coming here often for sure! Wahoo's is hands down the best! I will only eat fish here because it is truly amazing! The customer service is amazing as well. We walked in to a line but from the time we got in line to the time we got our food was about 10 mins. Quick service and everyone had a smile. Not to mention they were out of white rice when we ordered and gave us brown rice at no extra cost and then they came back around to let us know the white rice was ready and if we would like to take some to go! I couldn't wait for Wahoo's to open. We've been here twice and both times were very disappointing. I thought maybe the first time was a training issue as they had just opened so we tried again. Even worse. I literally couldn't eat my order (plain ol' fish tacos). The fish was so hard and dry it was inedible...like they were holding it already cooked under lamps in the back until someone ordered fish tacos and it had sat there for hours. My grand daughter ordered fish from the kids menu, took one bite, and asked if we could go someplace else. And the wait staff are unfriendly and make you feel like you're bothering them. I seriously don't understand the hype or the long lines. We won't be back. read more

Love Wahoo's. Used to eat it at least once a week when I worked out in mid-Wilshire. Was excited when I found out one opened in Los Al. Unfortunately the portion size at this store location is smaller the couple times i've been there. The Bonsai Burrito also taste different too. Doesn't make me want to go back. read more

After leaving Seal Beach Winery saw this place was now open. Food came out very fresh and tasty. Enjoyed the Joya Sangria and they have a great special right now. The owner Tom came out and greeted us as we were in line. We are locals and definitely will be back. read more

I love Wahoo's! I've been driving to the one in the LBC for years so I was very excited when this one in Los Al opened up. However, I'm just not sold on this location after three visits and it's a combination of things: 1. They overcook the spicy fish each time, making it very dry. 2. They don't add enough kale to their kale salad. 3. It's always so damn cold in there. You know it's cold when the employees are wearing sweatshirts and you hear them complaining that's it's cold in there. The location has a nice bar but the thought of a nice cold beer or wine when you're already cold is not appealing. read more

Saw the advertisement for the family pack available and decided to help the restaurant out by ordering two family packs for dinner. We placed the phone call at 6:40 knowing we were cutting it close because they close at 7, but again wanting to help the business out during these tough times. My husband was immediately placed on hold for 18 minutes by the woman who answered the phone. Once she answered there was no apology for the wait instead he was greeted with a rude woman who said "let me see if we have any we are about to close". As if he wanted to wait 18 minutes on the phone. When my husband asked about the fish she came back rudely as if he was a child and he was interrupting her. My husband decided they did not deserve our business after the lady was so rude and hung up. When I called back to speak to the manager the same woman answered claiming she was the manager answered and when I explained how unacceptable her customer service was she had no explanation for her rude attitude or placing us on hold for 18 minutes. We will never be visiting Wahoo's again because if that is how you manager treats the customer I can't imagine how the employees are trained. You've lost our business and I will be spreading the word to all of the organizations that we are a part of. read more

I like Wahoo's. Love the fish tacos with the citrus slaw. Enjoyed the Kalua Pig bowl too. Good food, nice atmosphere, blah, blah, blah. My Five Star review is for the Staff. I've been here twice now. And each time my service was courteous, timely, informative, and genuinely pleasant. I had so much fun joking and conversing with Paloma, Hunter, and Alana, that even if the food was just okay, I would still re-visit this establishment. But my food was great too. First time. Tacos for my wife and I in take out order. Tacos are very puny for price. Fish was hard to find. Cashier was not sensitive to my hearing loss so had a hard time getting the order in. Then after my order was up on counter for pick the little guy who is supposed to check it and bag its was wandering around doing nothing and was some time before he got my order to me. Not a place for seniors who want a decent size taco with some fish. Been to many more places around that are far better for tacos. read more

Ok location. Restroom is right by front door, people constantly cutting line to go to restroom. Menus guy was selecting on who he wanted to explain menu to whole standing in line. Had #2 fish tacos, ordinary fish stick and cabbage/ lettuce. It was ok. There should have been a lime with tacos. Black beans were dry. Rice was fair. Charros chips very tasty. Patio area needs heating lamps. Salad looked decent. Had spiderweb on patio and no it was not because of upcoming Halloween. Beware there are millennials working here so some had attitudes.
