Disappointing! I had a fish sandwich with onion rings and the fish was missing on half the sandwich. To make matters worse, they only included 5 little pieces of onion rings. Definitely not worth $8!! read more

San Clemente Wahoo's is a great pitstop. Lots of booths plus outdoor seating not to mention a great beach vibe. All this right off the freeway, then you add the great Wahoo's food, service and staff and you get at least five stars! read more

Wow! This place brings a beach aspect to a Mexican style restaurant that is just fantastic. I tend to normally get the beans and rice with their salsa. Also the restaurant is kind of divey but serves alcohol as well and I found that to be a nice twist to normal dive Mexican places in Orange County. read more

Ordered a Bonzai Salmon Taco to go. It was highly unsatisfactory as was mostly rice & beans with only a small piece of salmon with practically no vegetables, only a small sliver of onion. This Wahoo' s has always been the worst of the four in So. O.C.. read more

Foods always dry. It's a fun environment but the did quality doesn't match it. I prefer rubios or other local joints for the food.

Love taking my kid here (since he was 2 years old). He gets the fish, rice, and beans. I usually get the Kale Kai salad with the fish on top. There are very few places where no matter what the location the customer service and quality is usually the same. I have been choosing wahoos as a favorite for over 15 years. The bonsai bowl with teriyaki tofu, veggies, beans, and rice is my jam!!! Regardless of the food (which is consistently kickass for me), I honestly come back here for the ambiance. Rafael, Chris, and Andrea are like family to mine. They know us by name, they greet us with blessings and light no matter how busy they are. I have been meaning to write to corporate for YEARS. These employees are the reason for your success. Hard to add much new here---Wahoo's is a SoCal institution. But I'll focus on the service. The food at the San Clem location is as great as it is at all of the other locations, but the crew here is really great....friendly, enthusiastic, and really enjoying what they do. The atmosphere is terrific too---just a good old surf shack (you forget you're in a strip mall), with some cool grub---but the guys who deliver your food---calling them "waiters" doesn't do them justice---they're a real hoot. I actually got a free meal today, courtesy of the "Toll Roads" website....but it was great, a #2, a chicken enchilada with hefty sides of spicy beans and brown rice. The sauce was dynamite, and spicy enough to keep the Tapatio on the sidelines. But it's the crew that will keep me coming back....a very enjoyable experience. read more

Went here tonight and they had to redo my order because they gave me something I had not ordered. I also ordered 2 sides of rice to go and it was $10! Way overpriced for rice that was not fully cooked, such a little amount of rice given, and didn't taste right. So disappointed as we have come here before and it was fine, but haven't been in while and was not impressed. I guess it's back to Lupe's for us. read more

Good menu and prices are pretty cheap. It's a nice alternative to your normal taco shop, staff is pretty friendly and we had a good experience overall. Would go back again, maybe just order something different. My girlfriend went with shrimp tacos which were very tasty, I got a terayaki bowl which was just so so. Probably should have actually ordered a seafood related dish at this place bur the Maui bowl sounded decent. The menu is pretty big for a place like this, so it is nice to have so much to chose from. I imagine I will be back in the future to try something different. read more

I've grown up going to wahoos and it's so good every time! The customer service there is amazing they all greet you and are quick to make sure the experience is well. Everyone seems super happy there and I love their food especially the white rice! I would recommend wahoos to anyone and especially for families! This is by far the best place for tacos. I've been going here my whole life and haven't come across anything even close to as good as their fish tacos.
