This is the worst salon I have ever been to! My pedicure was horrible, all they did was basically soak my feet and then paint my toes, taking a total of 5-10 minutes. Then instead of having the little cheap take home flip flops, they made me PAY for flip flops that they sell. The manicure wasn't much better. But the thing that really turned me off about this place was the attitude of the workers. I think the owner was the one who finished up my manicure and she did a horrible job she was really shaky because she was rushing because it was Valentine's Day and there was a lot of people there but the thing that I'm most mad about is I got it done yesterday and today which is the 15th they are all chipped so I think that they use really cheap nail polishes they didn't even have any OPI brands, their colors look old I wouldn't recommend to go there ever. Last time I went here was two years for prom. Just got a full set acrylic manicure, yellow tipped. I think the owner did my nails. I thought she was wonderful even though we didn't conversate. The next day of prom night, I broke one of my nail on accident and headed straight here to get if fixed (no call for appt). I like coming here when I take my car to Bubbles Car Wash because there is usually a long wait and the car wash has limited seating. The prices are awesome- $20 pedicures with parafin wax, $20 shellac manicures. They do a pretty good job here, but it's not my favorite. The massages are so-so and the place is a bit cramped. Waikiki Nails is an average spot and if you're looking for a quick mani/pedi at an affordable price, go here. If not, I advise you to go someplace else. I have mixed feelings about this place so here it goes. They do a good job with your nails, no doubt; but I don't believe some of them have good "nail polishing" skills. No one in that shop can do a decent frech manicure and pedicure. It just looks awful. Their customer service is pleasant. The owner is friendly and so is the rest of the staff but if they're really busy, they'll forget about the new people who came through the door and have been sitting on the sofa and waiting for over 20 minutes. One really cool thing about this place though is their pedicures. They provide parrafin wax treatment for your feet which feels absolutely amazing! In the year 2011, they don't take credit cards! This is such a turn-off because I'm not the type to carry around cash in my purse. I rely on my debit card quite a bit so it's a hassle to go visit the nearest ATM machine whenever I forget to withdraw some cash prior to going. I've been going to this salon for a while but throughout this time all of the workers have showed much disrespect towards my family. Whenever we go they're very rude. Their tone in which they say things is very rude and I feel like there's a much more better tone they can learn to use. My first time I visited this place, the lady that did my nails had absolutely no smile what so ever, she had not spoken a word to me except for what kind of nails I wanted, she massaged my hands for about 10 seconds, there were still some color left over on my nails from my previous polish, I asked her to removed them, she did 2 fingers but didn't bother to do the rest, she was not friendly. The worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received. They were not busy when I got there and I can see why. I just moved to the area and decided to give this place a try since it's close to home. The woman giving me my pedicure did a cursory job on my feet. She barely trimmed my nails, did nothing about the cuticles , and barely swiped my feet with the pumice. The hot wax was still hot on my feet when she tried to remove it resulting in little pieces sticking to mu feet Her manicure wasn't much better. I have polish all over the sides of my fingers and the remnants of the polish she attempted to remove showing through the new. When it was time to go she spread some sort of oil all over my feet then slipped on my flip flops. I almost slipped out of my own shoes and fell in the parking lot. Worst manicure experience ever! My technician made three of my fingers bleed while cutting my cuticles. First I asked for a french manicure which came out clumpy, crooked and with paint on my skin. I told my technician it looked bad and she graciously removed it and gave me a regular color which also was sloppy. I have to go home and paint them again. My eyebrows were waxed very well. I was satisfied with that part. I was not given the hot wax that is supposed to come with the pedicure even though I specifically asked for it. I will not go back. It is now 4 hours after my experience and my fingers (cuticles) still hurt. read more

I've been going to this salon for years. Diane (the owner) knows everyone's name by heart. I remember once I moved away from the area for almost 2 years and moved back and she remembered me! The salon is clean and they take pride in their work. They do have one manicurist that could replaced (she cut my cuticles too close one time), but all in all I'm very pleased. I regretfully told myself last time I went here I wouldn't go back but I was in a bind and forced myself to go in here. Big mistake. Ever get so frustrated that you either feel like beating the person that caused the frustration or just crying and getting it out. Safe to say- I didn't need bail money but cry I did. My nails looked horrible. There was Polish everywhere and the nails were filed horribly. I went in and asked if they would be able to do my hands and feet and get me out of there by a certain time. I was reassured yes though I had my doubts. The woman that started my feet kept stopping to check new people walking in and no one started my hands. By the time someone started my hands I was told that Polish wouldn't dry by when I wanted to leave and there would be no design. I told her fine I just wanted to be done at this point so just paint a French tip so it at least looked nice. I guess that was too much to ask. I had Polish everywhere and the woman left it. By day two, my nails began to chip. I didnt receive the warmest welcome but didnt bother me too much. Had reservations and waited for 40 minutes. I was surprised there was no OPI or Essie nail polish selection. I should've left as that should've been my first warning. She did a horrible job with my cuticles. I had to ask her to redo it twice. She didnt massage my hands or forearms. She simply rubbed lotion on my hands. When she applied the top coat, it wasn't the "quick dry" one they have for sale in their display, but the basic top coat that takes forever to dry. I was disappointed as several nail shops use the quick dry top coat nowadays. And as I mentioned above, my nails didn't last two days before chipping. I have used Wailiki Nails twice a month for over 6 yrs now... for mani / pedi with acrylic nails.... they are usually friendly and work to accomodate new and continuing customers. They have recently upgraded foot spa machines and nail tables and comfortable chairs and continue to have reasonable rates. I did leave them for about 5 months in early 2011 since they brought in a substitute nail person who was very unfriendly and I went away. The owner called me after they saw I left and apologized and I returned and have been happy again... since the substitute is GONE. Give them a try. read more

Let me first start off with saying that the service here is great. I was offered free lotion samples and water while I waited. The salon it self was seemed kind of cluttered but had an island type of feel (hence the name). As far as nail color selection, it wasn't that great unless you were doing gel nails. When it came down to the manicure, the nail technical took her time and even gave me a really nice massage afterwards. Now this is the huge fall of this place. So I normally will go to this place if I need a quick fix . Normally a older man does my pedi and I enjoy it . But that gentlemen isn't working here anymore. My problem with this place is they reuse the acetone . I saw her pour it back into the bottle right before my eyes with my dead skin and bits of nail in the bottom of the bowl.
