Worst Cuban sandwich I ever had. Service was very slow and several tables that were seated after us got their food before us.

The ownership recently changed a couple of months ago so the service isn't as good as before. The food variety is more limited when I went they didn't have much sides to go with my meal. The service was ok the waiter would disappear for 15 min and not show up when we where looking for him. Beside the limit of variation the food was good but the service could be better. read more

Wish I could review the food but the service is absolutely terrible. It is a Saturday afternoon at 2:50. We were seated right away, the restaurant really isn't that busy but it has been downhill since being seated. Unfortunate. Everyone else's food looks pretty good. read more

Worst place to eat in the whole world I am shocked that this place is open. All the good reviews must be from friends and family if I could eat here free I would not go if they paid me I would not go. Years ago this place was incredible but new management has ran this place to the gutter. I went with my family and was surprised to only see 1 table occupied on a Thursday night there was a very bad oder as soon as we walked in and the chef was bringing out a garbage bag from the kitchen I went outside to get my glasses from the car and the chef was smoking a cigarette and asked me for a dollar. I went inside to order and it took 4 minutes to get are food I knew something was wrong are food had the same Oder that we smelled when we walked in I grabbed everything and ran out with my family please do not eat here I have called the state and channel 10 hopefully this place closes quickly read more

Went today with my family. The food was good, but I thought the portions were too small for the price. Not only that, but we were always out of water, every time we needed water we had to call the waiter over. If you want good Cuban food with bigger portions, and less expensive, I'd recommend to go somewhere else. I won't be going back. read more

Seriously, one of the better Cuban restaurants I've been to and the best Mojitos! If you are going to the Everglades, you have to stop here for lunch on you way out. They speak very little English, which I appreciate, as it forces me to practice my Spanish, and it adds to the ambiance. Enjoy! read more

Came here last night while on vacay with the hubby. When we entered the restaurant, we were "seated" by the hostess. I use quotation marks because when I say seated, I mean he led us to a general direction of where to sit in the restaurant and then walked away. Weird, but we just picked a booth. It was BLARING loud in there when we sat down. Some kind of open mic/karaoke kind of deal? Not sure. Anyway our server was really nice. I was excited to try an authentic Cuban sandwich, but only to be told they were out of Cuban bread. Sad face!!! I settled on the media noche with maduros which was really good. Hubby got the paella, which he said was not the best, but I loved it because it tasted a lot like jambalaya. During dinner, a singer named (Yara?) took the mic and sounded AMAZING. Her voice reminded me a lot of Selena's, very pretty. All in all, I would come back here. read more

Besides having ok Cuban food, this place has some pretty interesting traditional decor. The ceiling is covered with rice bags!

Good cuban food.I had a great tasting tamal. The mariquitas are served with garlic butter, diferent. It was cool to watch music videos.

Went in to have some lunch while my truck was getting it's brakes serviced. I decided to have the pan con bistec. I made a good choice, four star for the sandwich. The thickness of the steak was perfect, not like other places were they give you a paper thin piece of meat. The service was excellent and fast. The only downside is the stereo system. I don't mind music while I eat, but not being blasted up high. Overall I will visit again for the steak sandwich if I'm around the area. read more

We went with friends - some Hispanic and one pure Gringo who had never tried Cuban food. We had a blast! The food is very authentic and our waiter was excellent. We insisted that everyone order in Spanish and the waiter was patient & helpful with the Gringos in our group. Very casual, great for families. read more

We had not come in to Wajiros for many months. Thinking it was still good we passed by. Our server was the only server for the whole restaurant, so you can imagine. For Cuban food, this place needs big improvement. We ordered breaded steak with rice and beans. The steak was greasy and not tasty. We didn't finish eating and took the left overs home to throw it in the garbage. Do not consume poor quality of food to upset your stomach. The service can be improved. I went there for the first time last year and loved the food. I ordered a churrasco with mashed potatoes and arroz moro. The mashed potatoes taste amazing, you can actually taste they are real mashed potatoes and not from a box. The churrasco I ordered was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It is good to go on the weekends to listen to live music. Yara is one of the singers there and she has an amazing voice. I recommend this restaurant to anybody that loves good cuban food and live music. read more

The first time going on a Saturday night, the roast pork dinner was good. The second time, on a Sunday, roast pork was real fatty and had no taste. I kind of didn't mind that they were stingy with the amount given because most ended up in the garbage anyway. Oh, and the host guy was blowing his nose at the counter up front a few times. I hoped that he didn't have contact with my food when he went back to the kitchen. Floors were dirty too. Won't be back. read more

I met up here with mom my. This place reminds me of an old school cuban restaurant. Think of La Carreta in the 80s. Service was horrific. After being seated for approximately 15 minutes I asked for the wine list. I had to ask for it again for 5 minutes later. They finally brought out 3 bottles of wine. We chose a twist top. When we asked the waiter for the price, he said he would check. After another 10 minutes we just asked for a 2 glasses since he never got back to us... after all it was twist top. We ordered about 45 minutes after we got there. About 15 minutes later (we had been here over an hour) we had to ask for the bread. The food came out and it was good. When the bill came out we were charged $45 for a twist top bottle of wine. I paid it reluctantly. If you are willing to wait and get over priced food cuban food then this is the place for you. But... you will never catch me here again. read more

Excellent place! Always so delicious! We had the tostones rellenos were AMAZING! They also have very tasty specials throughout the week, perfect for those nights when you don't want to cook. My wife and I ate at wajiro's last night again. The churasco was excellent and my wife's Mar Habana fish dish was also delicious. The service was quick, polite, and worthy of 5 stars. Awesome cuban food all the time. This was my favorite spot before it burned down because of the decor this place had of cuba and now it's pretty cool too. It still has live bands on the weekends. Love it!!! I love Carne con papa y maduro and white rice. I also love shredded beef that's called ropa Viejas it's awesome!!! One of my favorite foods here. And what's good too is steak a la milanesa. For sandwiches my old favorite was Elena ruth it's a sweet media noche bun with turkey and pork or ham don't quite remember but it has cream cheese and strawberry jelly. Delicious!!! I haven't had that in a while but it's one of the best sandwich I had here before they burn down. I was there a month ago and I had Carne con papa and it was mouth watering. I like the people mostly Cubans so you fit in and feel like your almost at cuba... lol.. it was nice and the place is clean. The only thing I saw was waiters not a single girl waitress when I went last month. But the waiter was awesome and spoke to my friend that was with me, she's born and raised in Cuba and came here 5 yrs ago and she loves this place. This is the Best Cuban Restaurant around. I'm Cuban I should know. The service was awesome, the staff was friendly and attentive. The beer is the coldest beer in town for sure. I ordered Tamal en hoja for appetizer, was so good, my husband ordered the Ceveche, it was brought out with plaintain chips ( Mariquitas) and the fish were chunks instead of the cut up in tiny pieces you get at other places. I don't usually like Ceviche but this was the best I've ever had. The Churrasco with tostones and Moros was amazing, cooked to perfection. The Moros were what Moros should be DELICIOUS. My husband had the Steak parmesan, with Tostones and Moros and that was also DELICIOUS. Of course since everything was GREAT and we were so impressed with the food we had to order a Flan. Let me tell you, to die for. Overall we were so Happy that we stopped by and ate here we will Definitely eat here again, can't wait to try other meals there.
