It was my first time here! After browsing at the thrift shop nearby, I decided to make a pit stop for boba. When I pulled up into the parking lot, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. The drivers here are a bit careless and don't check their blind spots. Be careful when coming in and out. I came inside and was immediately pleasantly surprised. The decor inside is super cute, super modern, and very hipster. I really liked everything they had on their walls and on their shelves. They also had very nice board games that camouflaged as books! I loved their little calendar and the used coffee candles, too. I had walked and was warmly greeted by Kaylene. She had pointed out the closeup menu for me to look at, too. I settled for an Ember Owl Milk Tea and their Lychee Oolong Tea with boba. I took a seat and checked out their shop as I waited for my drinks. The art was very cute and I loved their mirror in the front. They have very chic furniture to sit on with very nice tables. I sat on their bench and David, who had made my drinks, offered a drink carrier. I really enjoyed their ember owl milk tea; it has a crème brûlée top which was delicious when I mixed it with my tea. Their lychee oolong was typical and just as expected; it also came with lychee jelly. What I was surprised about was their boba, which was incredibly soft. It's a texture I wasn't used to, but it didn't make it bad. I wonder how they got their boba that soft unless it's handmade. It's not much of a chew and it's easy to swallow. They've been open since December of last year and I'm surprised I haven't been before. I'd love to come back to try out their different lattes!
I've been here about four times now, and their drinks are always phenomenal. The baristas are always very friendly and helpful when it comes to ordering the drink you'd like. Not only that, but the interior is very nice and cozy, as a coffee shop should be. I'd recommend this spot to anyone who wants to try great coffee!
This is my first time here and I'm honestly obsessed The ambience is sooo chill and peaceful, perfect for a study session or just hanging out. They even have a rewards system which is super cool! You can order through a self-serve machine or at the register, and the girl at the front was super friendly. There's plenty of seating and sooo much parking, which I love because that's always a struggle at cute spots like this. Okay now let's talk COFFEE!!! It's SOOO good. My sister got the honey oat latte and it was a 10/10. I got the hojicha on cloud with almond milk and I literally finished it soooo fast it was the BEST matcha I've ever had. I told ALL my friends about it! I literally can't shut up about it!! I 1000% recommend this place. I'm definitely coming back
I hate to give this place a bad review because the service was sooo good! We are on a coffee hunt so we have been trying out a bunch of places all around the IE and some parts of LA that cross over, iykyk. Their lychee drink was soo good and honestly what made up for the other drink. It was perfectly sweet and the jelly was good too! We got their honey cinnamon coffee and their hojicha with cloud tops and honestly i was so disappointed. The cloud top just tasted like whip cream and had no flavor :( it seems like they just mix their heavy cream and call it a day. It's wayyyy too thick. It's always my favorite part of the drink so i was a little sad about that. The hojicha was very basic. I hardly tasted anything, i think maybe if it was more concentrated or honestly a different brand I'd probably like it more. The coffee was very milky and not strong at all. I think you'd have to add an extra shot to get it at a decent taste... Overall i just wasn't very impressed. It seem like they might be better off going to a boba shop sort of route rather than a coffee shop. I will say their space is decent and if you need a place to get work done, this would be a good place to drop by and do it. I love their interior and like i said service was great. I just wish the drinks had more something more going for them.
Such a vibe every time! Greeted by the owners with such sweet and pleasant attitudes. I've never tried anything else besides the blueberry dream latte with oat milk and one extra shot of espresso because it's just been that good every time. Consistency is a thing here for sure. Just recently got a chocolate croissant and although it was a little on the toasty side, it was still great. UPDATE: 3/19 same visit Ordered a drink for someone else that was coming in and the sweet woman working added in a free cookie.
Absolutely love coming here! This location replaced a boba shop..what a major upgrade. This is one of my favorite coffee shops, and I've been to a lot. Parking is not hard. Inside vibe is modern and chill. There is WiFi available and a couple tables for studying/working. Also an area to chill and enjoy your drink. I've tried a couple of their drinks my favorite is the Dirty Thai tea. It's Thai milk tea, condensed milk, espresso, and coffee jelly. Sometimes I get an extra shot of espresso. They give you the options of exchanging the coffee jelly to something else which is cool because not a lot of places let you substitute. This drink is so good it's gone by the time I drive home. Service is always excellent, top-notch. As busy as they are you're always greeted with warm smile, even with lots of customers they work fast to get you your order. Love the efficiency especially when I'm in a rush. This place deserves more than 5 stars.
Nice little boba shop that also sells coffee (: The ambiance was nice. Inside was spacious with plenty of seating. They also have games so it's a nice spot to sit and hang out for a while. The service was very friendly and they were so attentive. I tried the Tiramiss-U Latte which was one of their Valentine's special drinks. It was a tad bit too sweet for me and I wish I could taste more of the espresso but I still enjoyed it.
Easy to order, informative barista that helped us make our choices, super cute interior with plenty of seating, and most importantly - our food and drinks were delicious!! Lots of parking, many food options (sweet and savory) and truly a drink option for everyone. So happy we have this in Upland - will definitely be back.
Just opened on 1/2/25 and I've gone here back to back! This Blueberry Dream Latte tastes like a blueberry crumble muffin in a cup; DELICIOUS. Came back the following day for a simple Spanish Latte and it was mouth watering. Employees are friendly and the pace is clean, comfy, and relaxed. They have a few games available as well. Support the owners mom at Riceberry Thai also!
Wake Cafe is such a gem. Their coffee looks beautifully curated, but the service is always fast -- way quicker than most pop‑ups. The Honey Oak Latte is my favorite, and the vibes and décor make the space super inviting. Their pastries look amazing, and the spinach feta pie blew me away. It's packed with spinach and tastes genuinely homemade which is rare compared to other places. I can't wait to try the rest, especially the blueberry cream and the matcha latte. I'll definitely keep supporting this spot. Must try otherwise you are missing out!!!!!

Wake Coffee has such a pretty aesthetic as soon as you walk in! It's inviting and welcoming to stay. You can play games with friends and family or study at their tables or bar stool area. The drink menu has variety - teas, matchas, coffees, and more. I did not get a chance to try a pastry, but that will be next! Please give Wake Coffee a try! They just opened earlier in the month but they already feel like an established spot. read more

Came across this small cute cafe in upland when we came out here for dinner. Ran by a cute couple with the cutest logo ! Was able to try their fire owl milk tea and it was perfectly sweet and the perfect amount of tea ratio. Great coffee spot with some really unique drinks! As a caffeine lover, I had the Dirty Thai Tea, which comes with a shot of espresso and coffee jelly, and it was exactly what I needed. So good. The Nana Matcha was just as great, and I liked that it used Nilla Wafers instead of toffee nut like many other places, which is a nice option for people with allergies. The shop itself is cozy and chic, with furniture that gives it a really homey feel. What stood out most was the service. I came right at opening in PJs and messy hair, and the staff were still so kind and welcoming, it honestly made my morning. They also had helpful flyers about local services, which I appreciated since I am new to the area. I will definitely be back to try more drinks! read more

Customer service here is top-notch. The employees are so attentive, and they bring your drinks to you instead of waiting for you to grab it from the counter. It has a really cozy vibe and is a pretty good study spot as well - has a few outlets and never gets too crowded. I tried the Heart Bloom Latte, one of the seasonal Valentine's drinks (espresso, white chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla cream topped with raspberry puree). It was a bit too sweet for me, but honestly still really liked it because it kinda tasted like Fruity Pebbles lol. I'll be back :)) read more

The blueberry matcha is ok, a little too sweet for my liking, and I prefer strained syrup rather than puree, but the green for the matcha passed the test. The employees are very nice. Good seatings and there're a few outlets if you wanna study. read more

I tried this spot today after doing a pretty long hike and it was such a great refreshing spot. The ambiance is nice with good music and very friendly staff. I think they are new. Vegan friendly! I was scared they were not able to make me the blueberry latte vegan and they sure did. They can make a vegan foam. We enjoyed our time there. Going back to try another drink and hopefully they have their vegan pastries in stock. Vegan options being out of stock is a good sign. Loved our experience. The customer service was amazing. Second time trying Wake Cafe and my family and I love it! I ordered the honey oat latte and added cinnamon and it's so bomb!! Perfect balance of coffee, sweet and creaminess. Other drinks we tried are the Spanish latte and cookie butter latte. The service is great as well. The woman in the front is really sweet and you can tell the drinks are made with love. So happy that we have a local coffee shop in the neighborhood, and it's really good too! The staff are really welcoming and very kind. The amount of drink and bakery options they have was really great. I tried the Holiday Seasonal drink Cookie Butter latte and the Joy thing latte (Toasted Marshmallow) both drinks were so good! I also got the Lemon poppyseed muffin, the spinach pastry, and the chocolate crossiant. All so delicious! The drinks were not to sweet nor to strong. Just right! This coffee is amazing! I got the honey oat latte and wow, I can back 2 more times after it! I often feel main stream coffee tastes burnt.. and this does not! The coffee tastes very smooth and delicious. The atmosphere is cute and they have comfortable seating. They also have a few games you can play too while you drink your coffee. This is only our second time coming Wake Cafe and I know that this will become a regular spot of ours! Their blueberry matcha is delicious, not too sweet and actual pieces of blueberry - which I love. My husband has gotten the Nocturnal latte and Night owl latte and he says both are great. Their espresso is very tasty. The inside is cute if you want to stay and chill for a while and everyone working there is very welcoming. 10/10 would recommend! read more
