Bacon is excellent as well as the skillets. The French toast is a little too gooey but has good flavors, biscuit and gravy is tasty but biscuits are overly crunchy around the edges. Overall 4 because service is excellent and very friendly. read more

We had GREAT service here. I say that because bad service seems like the norm so it stood out. The menu is a little weird but workable. Limited vegetarian options but they were accommodating to modify a menu item to exactly the way I wanted. The iced tea is strong and delicious and they kept our glasses full. Been here three separate times on three separate trips to the area. Love the atmosphere. Disclaimer for all my dining reviews: I don't eat meat, so I can't give a personal a lot of the menu items, but I will relay feedback from meat eaters that I dine with. The two who ate with me at Wake n Bacon both enjoyed their experience greatly. The candied bacon was apparently a big hit. On my first visit I was taken off guard with all the options, and just got a bagel with cream cheese. Not only where there lots of bagel choices but also lots of choices for cream cheese/spread. The cinnamon roll I got on my next visit was huge, but as it was the last in the tray, it was a little dry around the edges. Not to worry tho, as this was just an excuse to drink more of their excellent coffee. They're also great at catering to special orders and are always super polite and helpful if we have any weird questions about the menu (the menu was very straightforward. We're just nosey lol) Overall, they lose one star for the dry cinnamon roll and service can sometimes be a tad slow, but really if I could give 4.5 stars, that would be more accurate. read more

We had a great experience on Christmas morning as this place was offering indoor dining. We had the My-pot pie dish and it was the most flavorful wonderful item I've ever eaten!! Nice mix of shredded potatoes and shredded bacon with sausage gravy and then cheddar cheese baked over the whole bowl. It was topped with a wonderful fluffy puff pastry and eggs over easy. Wow it was sooo good! The staff was fantastic and took great care on every way. We will definitely be back!! read more

I had the VG Veggie skillet and it was delicious! The hash browns are homemade and it's packed with corn, black beans, pickled peppers and cheese! I topped it with the hand grenade siracha sauce that was on the table and I highly recommend. Not spicy at all. My brother got the chicken and waffles and said it was amazing: chicken was crisp but juicy. My boyfriend got the bacon donut and said it was amazing. Oh my! Wonderful place. So glad we went. Make sure you get the bacon sampler. The portions are generous so keep that in mind as well. I ordered the chicken biscuit and it was huge! The place was busy but we lucked out getting a table.service to get coffee and drinks was quick, the return trip to get our order was delayed, the server was chatting it up with sone other tables, so ding'ed them a star. The worst human working the front. I come in and put my name on the list. Yes, they are busy, yes they are short staffed and they even have a note to ask people to be understanding and kind. Funny enough, the staff can be the worst humans ever. Turns out, kindness is one sided. So I go look at my name on the list and saw that it was crossed out. Wonder if it was on purpose because the woman working there was clearly in a bad mood. I mention that my name was crossed out and she acts like it's my fault and basically tells me to get over it. Side note - I'm with a 2 year old and well no one messes with a mom with a 2 year old. So once the order was taken by an equally rude human, we knew we would never see the food. Did I mention that we are sitting with a 2 year old who is being an angel but 30 minutes later with no food (it's a pancake!!!!!) - we approach to ask the timeline and she basically tells us to get over it and to F off. Nice kindness. So, we left. 40 minutes. Zero kindness. And zero food. I did leave a $1.00 bill for my burned coffee. Turns out McDonald's across the street has far nicer humans. To the lady with the crooked teeth that runs the front - you are awful. You are awful to mothers. And you are awful to people with kids. Good luck in life with your C$&ty attitude. read more

This place is awesome for breakfast. We come here once a year and my mom has a home in Fraser as a VRBO. I can't speak for their lunch, as I haven't tried it. We had the bacon to share at the table, which was devoured. It is 3 different types of bacon; hickory smoked, candied and habanero. I love their avocado toast. Stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way out of town, easy to access location in an unassuming strip mall. Our party of 5 had the veggie skillet, 2 Lox it Down bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese and 2 breakfast bagel sandwiches. Talk about fresh! This place was happening today! We arrived about 10:40. There was a 10 minute wait. It was nice outside so we went out and enjoyed watching what the other people ordered. The other customers were very friendly. My husband had is Iowa Hawkeye gear on and made conversation with a group that were Husker fans. It was fun! We were seated and I saw they had homemade sweet tea! This was the best! I'm not sure what to compare it to so I won't but it's better than what I brew at home. I ordered a My Pot Pie and my husband ordered an omelette with lots of meat and spice in it. Both meals were scrumptious! We ate every last bite. I forgot to mention, we saw a donut at almost every table and were wondering why. We thought we should try it. Honestly it didn't look that great but WOW once you took a bite you wanted more. Not too sweet or too thick or too cakie. It was just fabulous! Order one for an appetizer and share a couple bites. Very friendly staff and a happening place. You will not be disappointed. We had eaten here before and had good memories... but today, oh man oh man it was not good. Terrible pancakes. Who can't make pancakes? And the hash browns? They cooked them. Then cooked them again. Then pushed them to the corner of the griddle and slow-cooked them. Little crusty grease flakes. How did this story end? We had to go to another place afterwards to get pancakes and hashbrowns. Also, there was the service. AWOL servers, standing around chit-chatting. Breakfast took almost half an hour. Maybe it was just a bad morning. But we shan't return. read more

This is a great spot for breakfast. They've got a lot of non traditional breakfast items (like their breakfast pot pie). The baked goods looked delicious -large doughnuts and giant cinnamon rolls. I've had my favorites for many years carvers, sharkys, back bowl..etc All I can say is move over because Wake N' Bacon is king of breakfast in our humble little valley. With reasonable prices and delicious food. One bite of My! Not worth it, find somewhere else to have breakfast. The initial wait for a table was not bad, our drink order gets taken and brought back quickly, food order taken, then nothing for about 20-30 minutes (except trying to bring us another tables order). Our waitress never came back, another waitress finally acknowledged us and we asked for the check for just the drinks. She checked on our order and asked if we still wanted to wait since it should be coming up. We should have just gone, but we didn't want to add more wait time to us getting fed breakfast. Maybe 10-15 minutes later our food comes out. The breakfast pot pie was decent but not worth $14, the OG Benedict hollandaise was lacking and the eggs were over cooked again not worth the $10 price tag, and the chicken and waffles was a complete fail, not only does it set you back $14, the chicken is not seasoned, the waffles were meh at best, and the syrup was cloyingly sweet and tasted like corn syrup tainted with a ton of stevia, no where close to maple syrup not even grocery store fake maple syrup tastes that bad. Unfortunately they pool tips here and while we were appreciative of the second waitress stepping up and taking care of us, I wish she could have kept the tip for herself. read more

Amazing food! They offer your classic breakfast food as well as some amazing new favorites. They are new to town but so far I've loved everything I've tried. Their baked goods are amazing, the candied eggs are a sweet and savory twist on your traditional deviled eggs, and the breakfast pot pie is the perfect flaky crust with all of your breakfast favorites inside. The entire staff is friendly and clearly love their job. The space is bright and spacious. I won't go anywhere else for breakfast in Winter Park. They are true home run! read more

Can't please everyone, but this place is a home run!! Most locals know this already. The food is waaaaaaaaay tasty. Pork belly is an option and it is taaaaaaaaaaaaaasty!!!! I've eaten here 4x since opening, and everything has been awesome; from the PB skillet, to classic over easy eggs with bacon, these guys have really knocked it out of the park!! Kudos, Wake-n-Bacon. Best Breakfast in Winterpark during our stay. But due to the service I will never go back. Not one of the server's would look us in the eye. All but one even spoke in a friendly tone. They rolled their eyes if you needed anything. When we arrived there were 2 tables outside 2 inside and 2 at the counter yet with 4 girls it took them almost 10 minutes to even bring us water. When that happened we ordered our drinks and told them we were ready to order and she walked away. It just hot worse from there. read more

Had a lovely end of ski weekend breakfast here! The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the menu was diverse and well priced, and the food was great! We got veggie omelettes, hash skillets (the potatoes were super tasty and the right level of chrisp) and the pork belly benedict. Nothing was super giant which was good, since I wasn't looking for huge portions, rather a moderately light post ski meal. They do espresso drinks, delicious looking donuts and bagels, and fresh squeezed juice. Definitely worth a visit before they get too busy to catch a seat! read more

GPS may lead you through parking lots, but it's close to Main St. in a strip that runs perpendicular to Main and worth even the runaround. Not fancy ambience but super food, enough to stuff you for the day. Best breakfast of a 10-day trip! Try any of the Benedict "bennies" (I had the Southern, complete with lovely crunchy-crusted biscuit) and their applewood smoked bacon is sublime. Save your potatoes, good as they are, for last. Or try anything else on the menu. Great coffee too! It's a small place, one server sometimes on weekdays, but she's friendly and quick with the coffee. read more
