We've been coming to Winter Park for over 5 ski seasons, but we most love visiting the mountains during the summer. When we come up to Winter Park/Fraser/Granby, Wake N' Bacon is our favorite place for brunch! While the wait and dining experience can sometimes be frustrating during busy ski season, in the summertime there's less of a wait and a much more relaxed experience. Our favorite dishes include the My! Pot Pie and all the Bennies while the kids really love cruising the donut/pastry case. We've always found the service and the food to be excellent, and love the unique/different menu items at Wake N Bacon

Very cool place to have breakfast. Comfy bench side. Great service. Food was very good. The biscuits are homemade. Coffee is really good as well. Loved my crispy hash browns and fried green tomatoes

We arrived at 10:15am on a Thursday. There was a bit of a wait, but very quickly got through the line. My son was anxious to snag one particular donut he had seen in the bakery case window, and he took our server Gary to secure the goods. Gary was prompt with service and a recommended coffee order- which he named the "Honey Nut Cheerio" latte. Bonus points because it had sub oat milk, like he read my mind. We ordered the Table Bacon, an assortment of candied, applewood, and habanero- for the bacon connoisseur in my life. The candied eggs were unlike any deviled eggs I've ever experienced, but, hey, if anyone else if going to go to the trouble of making them, I'm all in. Will definitely come back on a visit this ski season!

5 Stars - Amazing Breakfast Spot! Wake n bacon is an absolute gem in Winter Park! I got the jalapeño cheddar bagel sandwich with egg and sausage, and it was incredible--so savory, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was pure deliciousness! My family ordered a variety of berry-filled foods, and everyone left happy and satisfied. Despite how busy it was, the service was fantastic--super friendly staff, and our food came out shockingly fast. Definitely a must-visit spot for a great breakfast in Winter Park. We'll be back!

It was way to expensive for low quality food. The french toast looked really good but it was trash!

We ended up coming here twice while on a trip, once for the bacon avocado Benedict and again for the Irish Benedict which was unique and delicious! The benedicts come with a side of home fries. Our group of seven set out to enjoy a meal together, but what we faced instead was a cascade of errors and outright disrespect from the waitstaff and management. To begin with, the server mixed up an order, which admittedly could happen in a group our size--but the nature of our requests made the errors easily avoidable and, just as importantly, simple to correct. Five of us ordered essentially the same thing, differing only in small details like scrambled eggs with or without cheese. When we politely pointed out the issues to the server, we were met with an unprofessional and rude response. At one point, he even went as far as telling some of our party members that they needed to "pay attention." This attitude alone soured the experience, but things only deteriorated further from there. For instance, when one person's eggs--which had been incorrectly prepared with cheese--arrived with no cheese, we kindly requested they be remade. Shockingly, the waiter refused outright, stating he would not redo the order nor remove it from our bill. If that wasn't bad enough, he went on to suggest we would receive poor service like this regardless of where we dined--a claim entirely untrue based on our many other dining experiences elsewhere. Given the escalating tension, we asked to speak with the manager to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the response was even more disheartening. The waiter brusquely declared himself to be the manager and outright refused to take any action to address our concerns. Hoping for someone with more authority to intervene reasonably, we then requested to speak with the owner. However, the owner was equally dismissive and maintained that his server couldn't possibly have spoken to us in such a disrespectful manner--even going so far as to deny any wrongdoing entirely. When I pointed out that the server's behavior suggested he might have been having a bad day but ought to remain respectful to customers regardless, I was met with indifference. I tried to explain how critical customer service is--especially when tourists like us choose to spend money supporting local businesses--but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Ultimately, things reached a breaking point when another guest at the restaurant ask us to leave, as no resolution. It was such a shame because, truthfully, the food itself was quite good. Unfortunately, no amount of culinary quality can compensate for the poor treatment we received from both staff and management alike. To think that we originally planned to purchase some of their locally made jam as a show of support for their business--it now feels inconceivable that we'd contribute any further after such an appalling episode. To sum up: while the food may meet expectations for taste, the dismissive attitude makes this establishment one to avoid at all costs. If you value being treated kindly or even with basic professionalism, steer clear and take your business elsewhere where it will truly be appreciated.

I get it on ciabatta with bacon and their bacon is actually quality crispy, flavorful, not flimsy. The chipotle aioli is what really makes it though. So good. Heads up: this sandwich is big. Like, if you're not a big eater, you could easily split it. I didn't even finish mine and gave about a quarter to my mom It's perfect if you're about to have an active day and need something filling. I also ordered a medium matcha with vanilla and my total came out to about $20, which is a little pricey in my opinion but the portion size makes up for it. The matcha was good, but quick tip: if you like your drinks sweet, make sure to ask for sugar or flavor. I always forget and end up with a bitter drink lol. Everyone here is always super nice and welcoming. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place. I go here often and already plan to be back in a couple weeks. The xc skiing at Devil's Thumb has always been a favorite for us, as far back as the 70's when it was just a rustic ski trail system with a small nordic supply shop. In recent years it became a full fledged resort with lodging where we have often stayed. We have also stayed in Winter Park, about 15 minutes away and driven over to ski. But we have now found our new favorite option. This is such a lovely place, both the facility and the charming staff. It is a better price value for us than some of the other options in the area, yet more than a simple motel in town. You know, like Goldilocks, "just right." I especially want to note that the (included) breakfast that host John cooks for the guests was wonderful, some sweet, some savory, warm, homemade, natural and ample for the start of even an hearty ski day. They take note in advance of special food needs and serve with a choice of time options. The log style of the building is rustic but nicely furnished. The rooms are well designed and furnished with high quality linens and have lots of storage as some guests stay for weeks. The views from each room are very pretty, some to the Continental Divide, some to the woodland. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. The central lounge area was large, comfortable, attractive and clean and with a central fireplace. There are also some other smaller gathering areas to sit and talk or read if you wish to be outside your room. And there are also some family and dog friendly cabins on site if you want more than a bedroom. Personally, the rooms in the main inn are just right for my needs. We will absolutely be back. It is convenient to local xc skiing and also just a 15 minute drive past the Winter Park Resort and not far at all from several quality dinner options. We met other guests using the lodging for all of these reasons.
