They are almost always busy when I am there. The pharmacy is open 24/7, pretty big store. Can't complain.

This Walgreen's is in a very convenient location since I often stop here when I'm either on my way to or from the Fremont BART station down the road. To me Walgreen's is Walgreen's pretty much but of course not when it comes to the employees of course. Anytime I have a prescription I come here ... until today. I decided to go through the drive thru today. Only 3 cars ahead of me and i had 15 minutes, no problem, right? Well, I sat for about 20 minutes before the first person in line finally moved. Seriously??!!!?!? 20 minutes for 1 person in a drive thru! It was so bad that the second car in line just bailed. Finally I got my chance in line and I discovered the cause of the delay. Let's just say that the pharmacist at the window was not the sharpest knife in the drawer (maybe too many free samples). End result: it took them 25 minutes for three people to move through the window. Ahhh, DMV efficiency at the pharmacy. This review isn't so much about the store. It is about this store's decent return policy. I purchased two pens from the Walgreens in Hayward for taking notes while I was serving as a juror. Those pens turned out to be pieces of crap. They would not write well fresh out of the packaging. Since I was passing by this Walgreens, I thought I'd run in quickly to ask if I could return them. I told the assistant manager about how bad these pens were. No other questions were asked. I was given a refund without any problems. I went to pickup medicine ordered by our Physician on 10/30/2020. Pharmacist also included another medicine that was ordered by Physician in 3/2020. Since I was picking up by drive through and I am under the expectation to receive only one medicine, I trusted these Pharmacists who work at this Walgreens location and left to home. The medicine expected to pickup was not in immediate use so we did not open it until today. Today when we opened it, we realized and called the pharmacist to check on return possibility. I am not too concerned on money but the way they tried to justify that they did their job and claimed that the mistake is on my side was very unprofessional. They also mentioned that they are allowed to fill the ordered prescription for an year by law. read more

My doctor sent the prescription to this pharmacy at 11:14am, and got a conformation. I went to the store to pick up the prescription at 12 noon, as I was told to give them 1 hour to process. They told me they could not find my order. I went back to my car to pick up the doctor's paper and show them. Then they said it could take a few hours to get ready. I said I had shown them the paper, and I was there, why not just give me the medicine, and take care of the paper work later. They kept on repeating that the order was being processed, and it would take a few hours. At around 4:00pm, I called the store, and it said there was no information about my order. I called the doctor's office again, then they checked with the store, and confirmed the store had got my order back at 11 in the morning. Then I called the store back. They put me on hold for almost 1 and a half hours, and I am still on hold. I feel like they did not care about us. I don't know why my doctor sent the prescription to this place, maybe because it was across the street from them? read more

This location deserves negative stars!!! I came here to pick up a few Easter basket items for my kids after getting coffee at Philz. The manager ROZE frauded me and STOLE my money by double charging me on an item. By the time I realized it, I came back within 10 minutes for a refund. She reviewed my receipt then went to back. She said the video shows there were more boxes then there really were. I asked her to show me the video footage and she REFUSED! A second box of this item was IMPOSSIBLE because there was only one of the games on the shelf left so I know she was lying!!! I've never in my life been treated like a criminal in a store! She accused me of lying, why would I steal a children's game when I clearly am holding a purse worth thousands of dollars?!!!!! I will never shop here again and PLEASE fire this employee because she is clearly stealing from customers and who knows how long she has been doing this! Dropped off prescription in person and was told would be ready in 1 hr. Came back 1.5 hrs later and not ready. They filled it while i waited and there were 2 medications on the one prescription. They overlooked the second medication and couldn't find my prescription. Finally found it and filled it. Very unprofessional and the pharmacist, nik, was extremely rude in the way he spoke to me and ordering me to sit down. He has no customer service skills. Check your meds when picking up! read more

I wish I could give it zero stars to this pharmacy. I waited more than one hour to get just one vaccination there was no issue with insurance or anything else, it was simple one vaccine. They all knew we are waiting but didn't care, they were so slow and careless. We asked twice but they didn't care then I finally spoke louder and ask 'are we going to wait whole night here' then they sent one pharmacist came out. It was a horrible experience with all pharmacy staff. And they are horrible at verifying insurance, my insurance was active and they said system said it's not active after few minutes it was active in their system- it was a nightmare, Do not go to this pharmacy, save your time!! read more

Poor customer service. Pharmacy does not give express pickup customers priority, and lines are incredibly long. After the pharmacy called up 3 regular customers, I had to tell them I'm express even though I was in the correct line that was explicitly marked.The person told me someone else needed to help me. One of the worst pharmacy place ever, took 12 hours to fill my wife's prescriptions,at 9pm took 30 mins of waiting in line to finally see they have a drop of line which had no sign telling u that, then waited another 15 mins jus to drop prescription. One star for the young lady who helped, she was nice, then was told 45mins till ready, will took my wife and new born baby home, came at 7 am meds still not ready, lady was acting like it's my fault, so after I told my story baby,wife's c section 3 days ago with lots of pain ...., she felt not so smart and told me to come back in 45 mins....there's more to it but came back a hour later and more rudeness..., but finally got meds at 8:35am. If your in pain and it's after hours and have no other option go there, but personally they are one of the worst pharmacy people I've ever seen. read more

This store is pleasant enough. I guess the 24-hour pharmacy service makes it real popular and that's why the long wait, whether you're driving thru -- a BIG convenience if you have back pain like me and can't stand a long time -- or if you're waiting inside. But I have to applaud the many waiting chairs provided. I think the evening staff is not terribly helpful. I called about a lost thermos coffee mug and got the round-around from two departments. No offer to take my name and phone number. But all-in-all, you get what you pay for, and it's probably a good deal. read more

I had bad experience with their photo center. I've been there 3 times about the same order and every time there was a different problem with fulfilling it. In the end they gave me a refund. I had an impression they censor the client contents and didn't like mine. Better print your photos in a different location, you never know what they wouldn't like about your photos. read more

The only thing good about this Walgreens is that its open 24 hours and that's the only thing going for it. The pharmacy department is so slow. This entire Walgreens staff moves at a slow pace which would be a good thing if you are somewhere we vacationing on an island and not been sitting in pain waiting for the cashier to just ring you up so that you can go home and take the medications. read more

02/04/15 This review is for the pharmacy. I'm not sure how they run their operations but it is seems unorganized. I called in and did an automatic prescription refill on Friday 01/30/15 to pick up Saturday. Confirmed to pick up Saturday. I haven't heard anything not even a notification. I tried calling and no one picks up. So then come Sunday, I waited a half hour and finally at the cashier, I come in and the girl at the cashier tells me it's not in stock and yells over to the guy next to her "did you order this prescription?". He tells her no but it should be here Monday or Tuesday. So then the girl turns to me and says "safest come on Tuesday". I'm easy going so I say ok sure. Still today (Wednesday) I have not heard anything. I've called 5 times to try to speak with someone at different times of the day and all 5 times no one picks up or I'm on hold for at least 17 minutes or more by then I just hang up. What is going on with this pharmacy?? So I decided to check my prescription another way, I called in to make another order and the order went through. Apparently, the order was canceled on their end! Why did you cancel because you didn't have it in stock? At least notify me??? I need this prescription ??? Is there any way we can take this matter to upper management? This is unacceptable as these prescription could be life threatening for some who does not have it. I think I will switch to another pharmacy company. I'm currently looking at cvs, rite aid and target as there are plenty of other pharmacies I can have business with. I got my doctor to fax my rx to another pharmacy. I called the other pharmacy and they said Walgreen still has it on their system so other pharmacy can't process my order until Walgreen reverses it. I must tell Walgreens to cancel it in order to get it filled at other pharmacy. Okay, so I thought maybe it's in at Walgreens and I should give it another chance. So I called this evening around 6 pm. (it has been almost a week that I've taken my prescription and walgreen still hasn't filled it) 6 p.m. - So I called again this evening since I did not receive any notifications that my prescription is ready for pickup. If it wasn't ready then I would just have them delete the order and I go to another pharmacy as it is unacceptable that they didn't even notify me. Finally got someone on the phone but I had to do it a trickier way I had to speak with someone in another department make a complaint as to why no one picks up at the pharmacy department. Finally got to someone and I ask him if my rx is ready for pick up? He said yes. FINALLY! since Sunday that I have requested this rx. 10:40pm - I came to pick up at the drive through. I waited 20 minutes. Finally I thought I can finally get my rx and take it. But no, the guy at the window tells me that he can not process my rx savings card?? the hell?? the guy last time did it. Then he had the audacity to tell me to "COME BACK TOMORROW MORNING AND PICKUP THE PRESCRIPTION AT THAT TIME AND WE CAN PROCESS IT FOR YOU". F you! I waited a half hour to get this prescription and I called a billion times no one picks up, I waited forever to get my rx and then you tell me to f-ing come back tomorrow morning??? What a waste of time. That was the final draw. So I told him to delete the order and I will go to another pharmacy since I planned ahead and had my doctor faxed my rx to them already they just need you to delete it on your end. WALGREENS WORK ETHICS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! 11:30pm - I called another pharmacy and the lady on the phone said Walgreens has not deleted the order as it is still rejecting my prescription stating that it has been filled. arrgggh I'm angry at Walgreens!! Anyway, she said she will call them for me and make sure they delete it on their end and asked that I call her back in 15 minutes. 02/05/15 I called my insurance to get the prescription billing reversed so I can go to another pharmacy. My insurance had me on hold while they called Walgreens, Walgreens had them on hold for a half hour. They said Walgreens won't reverse it. Walgreens lied to my insurance saying that I didn't pick prenatal for a month?!!! what?? So they reversed and charged again? It doesn't make sense. I see that they did a reversal on 01/30/15 and then charged it again on 02/03/15 but never let me know it was ready for pick up. I tried calling and no one answers. But why lie that I didn't pick up my rx for a month?? Wouldn't I need my rx if I ran out? I am going go ahead and pick up the prescription, hopefully they are competent enough to process the prescription saving cards apparently the old man who looks Haitian didn't know how and asked me to come back in the morning. I will deal with them one last time. And I am going to another pharmacy. Walgreens pharmacy has lost my business. read more

Customer service here is non existent. Lady working FedEx on-site does not know how to do her job and makes up her own rules and policies. Visited the store multiple times, and she still refused to give me my package for no valid reason. Email saying my order is ready for pick up, FedEx website and FedEx customer service all confirmed that as long as my address on my ID matches the shipping address on the package, it could be picked up and released to me no problem. Lady working could not give me a valid reason for not following this procedure. FedEx corporate customer service was very confused as to why this lady would not give me my package, they had to personally call her in order for my packages to be released and SHE STILL REFUSED. Thankfully my package is leaving this facility to a different location with workers who are actually competent to do their job. Management needs to address and train their employees on following protocol not making up whatever rules they feel like it. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this time it wasn't against me, but against my 7 month old baby. Today at Walgreens on Mowry Ave, my baby was discriminated because of his age, and was refused to have a passport picture taken because the manager said they only took pictures of kids over one year, she asked me to go back home, take pictures with my phone and come back. I thought it was a store policy and since I was already there, I tried to take pictures with my phone and get it done. I asked to use the chair, she didn't let me use it, so I lay down a jacket on the floor for him to sit and started taking pictures...I stayed in the store for about two hours, their computer wouldn't load my phone pictures, the employees at the photo area were very helpful and tried their best to help me load the photo. I decided to look online for the policy, and there was none, so I decided to talk to the manager. She accepted there was no policy, but she had made the decision to don't take pictures of kids under one year, because they tend to take too long and cry at times, and they end up with big lines. I was shocked and furious, she had me in the store for 2 hours just because she decided to make up a policy to discriminate against kids under 1 year. She saw me in the store trying really hard to get a picture of him on the floor so I could get it printed, and not once she approach to offer an apology. I am very disappointed about this location, she should feel shame of doing this to babies. read more

If you like wasting your time and incompetence, this is where you want to get your rx's. The bonus is the lack of customer service. Sure some have been ok, but no one really nails it. Keep in mind this is the pharmacy that had an unlicensed "pharmacist" filling prescriptions. I've been a customer for many years, and have seen a lot. My own experiences and others (Yes, when we stand in your long lines, we can hear everyone else that is having trouble with you) My patience is done. I will be transferring my prescriptions. They make a decent amount of money on all of us and to look at the reviews, I wonder why we're all coming here. I should have checked Yelp first. I have one rx that they have a discount card on file for but it almost never gets applied correctly. I've tried everything, and shouldn't have to call to be sure they've done it right each month. The savings is significant or I wouldn't bother. Today my husband picked up my rx's and despite me typing a note with my online refill order, they still didn't do it. I had to go back, and after waiting in the drive thru line, got told I had to come in because she couldn't hold up the line. As I am experienced with their ways, I reminded her that we've been through this before and they had me drive around and get back in the line while they fixed it. She said that she couldn't guarantee it would be done. So I had to go inside to get this corrected. THEIR mistake, not mine. No apology. Great, I'd love to go inside, where I'm more likely to get covid-19. I've stayed with this pharmacy for the drive thru during this pandemic. Now I see no reason why I should continue. Dishonest and poor service at the pharmacy. I was told that my flu shot would be ready in 10 minutes because that doctor was busy in the back. No problem. However it ended up being over an hour wait because the doctor actually went out for some errands. The assistant was lying to cover his back, I almost miss another appointment because of that jerk. I would have gladly come back another time if they told me the wait was over an hour. I asked the assistant why not just be more honest with their customers and she just smiled. Do not go there your better off going somewhere else. They lost my prescription and had to call the doctor to get it again 3 hours later. The lady was so rude to me about it, wasn't my fault they lost my prescription. I had proof that I did drop it off and she said she would give me a discount because of the mix up. I couldn't complain with that but when I picked it up the lady was upset when I mention the discount they said they could give me for the inconvenience. She wanted to argue with me until I asked to talk to her manager, upon the manager coming I told her how she was rude to me and she said I'm sorry she's always like that. Seriously people is that any excuse for someone's behavior. Never going there again. It seems convenient being so close to the hospital but watch out they just may accidentally misplace your prescription, how unprofessional. read more

Since posting my negative review of this walgreens pharmacy, I have transferred my perscription to CVS at the hub. Wow it is a huge improvement. I would recommend everyone to switch to CVS because they at least seem to know what they are doing and you wait time is a fraction of what it is at walgreens. read more

The customer service here is terrible. Can't get someone to help you when you call about an item, most of the time no one even answers. Then if they do they'll keep transferring you to different departments to find someone to help and no one answers. Recently I went to pick up a prescription when I was told it would be ready and was told that they were out of the prescription. No one bothered to call and tell me. read more

This review is only based on the calling experience while trying to reach the Pharmacy to talk to a staff. Yesterday i was on the phone for 50 minutes and the system told me that there are 2 callers ahead of me and i got this message for nearly 50 minutes, after 50 minutes my number moved up to 1 but the call got cut soon !! Today it is 20 minutes now and am still getting the same 2 callers ahead of me message so going to hang up now and typing this review while i am waiting Seems there is something really wrong there, i don't see a reason why would the pharmacy staff speak to any customer for 50 minutes or i dont see why there would be only one staff on the call because with multiple staffs the waiting would have moved up unless every other staff is also speaking to customer for 50 minutes during the same time !
