We are now going to the Walgreens on Blacow Road in Fremont. They always answer the phone, have never given me the wrong insulin and always apply my discount correctly. If you like wasting your time and incompetence, this is where you want to get your rx's. The bonus is the lack of customer service. Sure some have been ok, but no one really nails it. Keep in mind this is the pharmacy that had an unlicensed "pharmacist" filling prescriptions. I've been a customer for many years, and have seen a lot. My own experiences and others (Yes, when we stand in your long lines, we can hear everyone else that is having trouble with you) My patience is done. I will be transferring my prescriptions. They make a decent amount of money on all of us and to look at the reviews, I wonder why we're all coming here. I should have checked Yelp first. I have one rx that they have a discount card on file for but it almost never gets applied correctly. I've tried everything, and shouldn't have to call to be sure they've done it right each month. The savings is significant or I wouldn't bother. Today my husband picked up my rx's and despite me typing a note with my online refill order, they still didn't do it. I had to go back, and after waiting in the drive thru line, got told I had to come in because she couldn't hold up the line. As I am experienced with their ways, I reminded her that we've been through this before and they had me drive around and get back in the line while they fixed it. She said that she couldn't guarantee it would be done. So I had to go inside to get this corrected. THEIR mistake, not mine. No apology. Great, I'd love to go inside, where I'm more likely to get covid-19. I've stayed with this pharmacy for the drive thru during this pandemic. Now I see no reason why I should continue. Possibly the worst Walgreens I've ever had my prescriptions refilled at. I think they actually lie about contacting your doctor's office to get your prescriptions renewed. One or two times I can overlook because of how busy they are, but if seems to happen every single time with different scripts and different doctors offices, even with the seizure meds that my dog has to take. It's totally absurd! I think I'm going to try the CVS at the Hub and see if they're any better. read more

Their pharmacy customer service is not very good! In fact I called in a prescription before 12:00 noon yesterday and went to pick it up today at 9:00pm. 20 hours later my prescription was not made because they said they had faxed the Dr's office for insurance approval and had not heard back, When I asked why they didn't call me when they knew it was not ready by my requested time, they said their policy is not to call the customer for 48 hours even if that is past the requested pick up time. There was little sympathy that my infant daughter's medicine was not made or that I would have to pay $75 instead of $10 since they never bothered to notify me that there was a problem during the insurance companies hours. read more

I like the proximity to Washington Hospital, the 24hr service and drive-thru option.... plus it's shiny and new. What I wasn't so keen on was the slightly unprofessional pharmacist who tried to get his flirt on while I was just trying to get my pain meds filled. It's a drug store. I like that they are open 24 hours a day. The only negative that I find here is that the pharmacy is always backed up. It is a bit much most times. When people are sick and picking up a prescription, they want to get in and get out quickly. They need more staff at the pharmacy. read more

This review is only based on the calling experience while trying to reach the Pharmacy to talk to a staff. Yesterday i was on the phone for 50 minutes and the system told me that there are 2 callers ahead of me and i got this message for nearly 50 minutes, after 50 minutes my number moved up to 1 but the call got cut soon !! Today it is 20 minutes now and am still getting the same 2 callers ahead of me message so going to hang up now and typing this review while i am waiting Seems there is something really wrong there, i don't see a reason why would the pharmacy staff speak to any customer for 50 minutes or i dont see why there would be only one staff on the call because with multiple staffs the waiting would have moved up unless every other staff is also speaking to customer for 50 minutes during the same time ! The convenience of 24 hours of drive-thru pharmacy was worth that, but these people fuck up my prescription more times than is acceptable. And they're unfriendly about it. This has to be the WORST pharmacy, I went to kaiser for a very bad cough the Dr. Prescribed some pills for my cough since Kaiser Pharmacy was closed he told me to go to walgreens I waited in the drive thru for 45 min once its my turn the lady said our system for Kaiser is down?! She said you will have to pay full price? Okay it was less then my kaiser co-pay then she says you have to come back in 20 minutes?! WTH she said Im alone?? This place is a joke. They told me to come back in an hour my prescription would be ready, but they would call me and let me know. They never did. Went through the drive-through window and they only have Half of my prescription in stock. I waited in line for a half hour they told me to go around and make one more loop because I had to get my prescription ready. Very frustrating. I've learned the hard way it's a pain to go to any local pharmacies in this general area. At least Walgreens has a drive thru, the CVS nearby has just as bad of service but you have to walk inside. The people are friendly here, but it's so difficult to get someone to talk to you at the pharmacy-- calling someone to speak to directly doesn't work out, and the lines are usually pretty lengthy. Gladice was AMAZING!!! It was busy and she had no hesitation in stopping what she was doing to let customers know that she could check them out at the cosmetics department. yet again im stuck here. thank god i transferred my dads all other meds to CVS. the dr was also fed up and smart enough to just give us a bunch of hand written RX so we could just take it to any pharmacy rather than slowly transferring them over one by one. i dont understand what walgreens pharmacy management doesn't GET!!! Please avoid this place, its a complete disaster. I have awaited a cough syrup for two weeks my wife showed up a week ago they told her it was being filled only to tell her 30 mins later its not available. Same thing with me today I went she told me to wait its been filled yah right I left not even a phone call yet. Even to buy simple stuff they have line ups and people chatting at the counter. I am switching and will drive to pick up my medication from now on this place really sucks. I moved here two years ago and have consistently put up with their inefficient ways so finally I am fed up and moving my pharmacy I will not deal with these people anymore. Called them 3-4 times at 9.30 pm to know whether photo center is open for printing, call went to a lady and she forwarded to photo counter phone for 3 times, it kept ringing, then she transferred to manager. Manager (another woman) confirmed photo service is open for my requirement at 9.30 pm, drove all the way .. the person in the photo counter came and said they are only open till 9 pm, now what you will describe this customer service, i would say 0 star ! read more

Four stars for pharmacy service, 2 stars for the cashiers--why is it that on so many occasions the store has the checkout lines so long due to insufficient staffing? and sometimes the cashiers are just utter idiots--one even handed me my bag so haphazardly as to cause one of the drink bottles to break. (Fortunately, a manager on the floor reprimanded him and got me a replacement right away.) If it weren't so close to my place, I wouldn't even bother with this Walgreens at all. Service is extremely slow. I come here often to drop off / pick up prescriptions. Today I came real early after my doc appt and there was no line. I figured I'd be in and out in under 30 min but I've been here 60 min now and I haven't walked out the door yet with my prescription. I've usually come here during rush where there are long lines but there was no line when I got here. I always give the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that this location is probably used a lot due to the hospital being next door, and filling multiple prescriptions from many people could take some time, but today was just ridiculous. I think I may have to rethink where I get my prescriptions done. read more

A convenient place to get basic health, food, & other items, but the service is ok.

It is kind of funky and crowded inside and the selection is not very good. There is always a looooooooong line at the pharmacy. I only use the drive thru these days but sometimes it's even 5-6 cars long! I have come back late at night now to get my prescriptions. There also isn't a lot of parking as they share the lot with a big, busy strip mall. I always find a space but it's frequently in front of other businesses. read more

I've been coming to this Walgreens for 20+ years. It's familiar, and always meets my needs. The photo shop offers many same day services and gets them done quickly with good quality. The cosmetic counter salesperson is always very friendly and helpful. I was ready to change pharmacies because of the long lines, but then the last several times have been pretty good! (early in the morning or around 2-4pm seem to be a good time) Some pharmacists are very efficient and a few aren't, as you would get anywhere. I usually find what I need there, when it's just a few items. read more
