Updating my 2021 review because this location has really stepped up the customer service over the past year, most recently with an amazing guy named Hector who was at the register last week and was so friendly. He also informed me that I had Walgreens rewards, and how many I could use on my purchase. THAT right there is amazing because I can't figure out their rewards program and the $ amounts that are eligible for redemption (it can be some $$ amounts, but not others??). My husband came home with the wrong medicine. the pharmacist told him that it was the only form of sudafed. it was a 12 hour version with pain medicine and cost $18!! my husband went right back to the store telling them i couldn't take it. they wouldn't give us our money back! I have always bought the plain 4 hour sudafed. not only did they lie to my husband but to not let us return it and be out that money! i will never go to another Walgreens again. read more

had a great experience with the pharmacy here. i needed a medication transferred and the pharmacists were very kind and had it ready within the day! when i went to pick it up, they were very professional and even helped me find a lower cost prescription, as my insurance did not cover it. very pleased and will return. the hold times are relatively long, unless you call early in the morning. i took a star off because the store itself was very disorganized, and the sections were incorrectly labeled. but 5/5 for the pharmacy read more

Beyond horrible experience. Made an appointment for a Covid vaccine online. Showed up to a line of people and when I got the counter a woman who was barely audible asked what I was there for. I told her I was there for the Covid vaccine to which she responded by asking if I also wanted a Flu shot. I told her I'd already received my flu shot so she tells me to have a seat while she gets me paperwork to fill out. While I'm sitting and waiting another man checks in who says he is there for the flu shot and Covid vaccine. There is a lot of chaos behind the counter with staff yelling that they are leaving once this man and I are given our shot (it was later in the day) and they must have asked the other man and I at least 4 more times what we were there for (each time asking me if also want a flu shot). After I fill out the paperwork (that I had already filled out ahead of time online) the lady brings me to the room where she is carrying multiple syringes (I assumed she was carrying mine and the ones for the guy after me). She proceeds to put one in my arm and then tells me to wait while she leaves the room (I assumed she was going to get a bandaid or something). She then comes back and starts putting rubbing alcohol on my arm again and then picks up another syringe. I ask her what it is and she casually tries to say "nothing." I ask her if she just gave me gave flu shot instead of the Covid shot and she mumbles something and tells me no. She puts the syringe in my arm and I ask her to please explain why she as just given 2 shots when I came in for 1. She then tries to tell me the first one as empty (it was not) and asks if I'm going to crucify her. So now I have no idea what I was even given. I just can't believe the disorganization and lack of regard to anything her. I will never be back and cannot advise strongly enough against this place. read more

Hello, I have been on the phone with Pharmacy Staff for 3 days, for at least an hour at a time, trying to get critical medication before traveling to California on business, staff are RUDE, Unhelful and did not read my Dr's directions correctly, i am disabled and have a medical issue and was forced to travel without my needed medication. this last time, I was on hold for over an hour. and 45 minutes.. unacceptable! I have been a loyal Walgreen customer for many years, i am seriously rethinking that decision. read more

I wish I could give them zero Stars. I've made Seven calls today and been on hold forever. I hang up after about 25 minutes. It keeps telling me I'm the next person in line. Then I called and it said it would call me back in approximately 4 minutes. Never got that call. Made another call and was told I'd be called back in 1 minute. That call never came either. Called and ask for the store manager and got hung up on. Called and asked for the store manager and was given manager of the front end. He told me the manager went home. I said I've been on seven different calls and no response from the pharmacy. He launched into a tirade about how most of their techs have walked out on them in the last week, how there is only one person with 12 people in line, and that they will not answer the phone. Had a confirmed web appointment for a vaccine. Arrived on time. Pharmacist said I'd have to wait 40 minutes. Why? No explanation other than "I'm busy." But there was no one else in the store. I asked for explanation... he aggressively wrote "40 mins!" in big letters and held it up to me. No apology, just "my time is more important than yours." Color me done with Walgreens. read more

I Love this Walgreens. All during Covid it was one of my go-to-places to find disinfectants, masks, even the highly coveted LYSOL aeresol spray & wipes (there was a limit of 2 per person but I felt like I hit the lottery when my eyes saw the large size classic light blue Lysol can in linen scent available). This store also has a small section for some basic medical supplies which came in handy too, as well as a pharmacy where some folks get their flu shot from each year. It has a large selection of chocolates, candy, and even icecream to spoil the kids (and yours truly indulges too, sometimes....those icecream chocolate chip cookie sandwiches do not disappoint). Plenty of parking, very easy to get to on Main St. read more

So disappointed in the service at this branch. Had to get a COVID test to travel. Went at 9 am and told them that I needed a result by the following day for a flight to Germany, Germany only allows 48 hours from the time of the test to the time of the flight. Walgreens said, " sorry but the sample won't go the lab until this evening." I had no choice so I said Ok. The next day I checked using the code number they gave me. Nothing on the system. I called Aegis Labs. They told me that the sample still hadn't arrived (30 hours later). They also told me that the code number Walgreens gave me was wrong. I had to go to a hospital and have another test done immediately. So I had to pay twice: once for nothing, and once for efficiency at the hospital. Walgreens test results arrived by email after I arrived in Germany. Thank goodness for the hospital. Will only do it that way from now on. read more

Pharmacists are totally incompetent. Try to overcharge by not putting through secondary insurance. Doesn't inform you or Dr that you are out of refills even though website says you have refills. Ordered prescriptions that are ordered are out of stock at store. Extremely long hold times and hangups by pharmacist. Long wait times by pharmacists at drive through or counter. read more

So this pharmacy has gone downhill so much is amazing. My child has been out of her adhd meds and I understand there is a shortage. However they tell me just wait and when the medication comes in they will fill it. Well it's been 10 weeks now. The pharmacy doesn't answer it's phones as I got a messsge through the Walgreens app to call them and after an hour on hold I drove over. Walked in still on phone and could hear it ringing and the staff members are just hanging out. Asked bout the meds and basically was told they ran Out agian. Which means they never filled mine even though it's been over 2 months and I've had to have the dr resend. Basically the pharmacist confirmed thag if you don't climb up the pharmacists backside and check in every day! They won't fill it. He said he will now put in a manual order and that should do the trick. Why the hell not do that 10 weeks ago. Honestly go to CVS, Walmart or the guy down the street. Completely useless staff, as sharp as a bowling ball. My DR called in a script for the Flu (Tamiflu) Staff states they have plenty in stock. We call to verify that it is ready before heading over only to be told, "sorry we don't have it" Here's an idea call the customer and let them know!!! After searching on our own to find a pharmacy that had it, Walgreens refused to fax the RX over, the other pharmacy had to call.....You lost a customer for life guys, way to go! It's bn slowly sinking and I will say there are some very hard workers and good ones at that, recently they have stopped answering the phones I tried for 2 days straight till the day b4 Thanksgiving when I walked in on hold for 11 mins at that point and when I went to Pharmacy the was not one person on any phone whatsoever so I brought my phone to the newest " Manager" younger stocky Spanish man who told me he doesn't have to see I'm on hold and that I had bn on hold a total of 1 hr and 22 mins over the past day and a half . He simply talked in circles and became borderline aggressive ! This is the same manager that me and another woman heard say he's " sick of these old bags" after an elderly woman couldn't find an item? I will say a nice girl from register went out of her way to help. This was a completely different store for the better 2 yrs ago and slowly declined. The isles are filled with inventory and that wasn't the way with Manager before who actually worked along side his workers. Why is the main st in Waltham store always such a cluster fuck. They dropped the ball yet again. My daughters prescription was supposed to start Monday but couldn't because they screwed up again as usual. Now it's Wednesday and if she doesn't start today she will have to have tests all over again. Now the store is closed because of a power failure? There website sucks too. I tried to contact them on chat and get disconnected instantly. Next I tried to send an email. It says store location is optional but forces me to search locations anyway but when I click on the location it says this store is closed and boots me out. What a shitty company. It should probably be illegal for businesses to operate this way. If you really desperately need something don't count on Walgreens because the more you need it the more likely they will screw it up. read more

This store/pharmacy is in a convenient location with a big parking lot. And like all Walgreen's, the store has some good "stuff" at very reasonable prices, better than CVS! Good sales too. It's a great spot to grab soap, shampoo, paper towels, trash bags, misc. household items & seasonal gifts, candy, decorations, etc. for Christmas, Easter, Halloween and other occasions. Pharmacy is a different story, hence only 3 stars. It is very slow & I often feel invisible standing there waiting for a greeting. Not very friendly either. Clueless lame pharmacy. I called the pharmacy to let them know that I was on my way and asked if there was a line at the drive up window because I was in a hurry. I also asked if they could have my medication ready so I could just pay for it and pick it up. I came to the drive up window thinking that it would be faster than going into the store and waiting in line and was shocked by how long it took them to even notice and talk to the person whose car was in front of me. It took me well over a half hour before I got the meds They said that they were having computer problems but it felt very frustrating. I will say that the woman who finally helped me was apologetic and nice and I plan to give them another chance and will write another review if my experience is better. read more

This is a review of the pharmacy. New to town and needed a place to drop off my scripts. Called ahead of time to see if my insurance was accepted and after seeing that it was, the pharmacist checked to see if my script was in stock to save me a trip if needed. Dropped off my script, signed up as a new customer and I received a text stating my script was ready before I even finished shopping for groceries! Fast, friendly, efficient and attentive to specifics of MY needs without any attitude. Made this my permanent pharmacy and would encourage others to do the same. read more

Store itself is alright, staff at the pharmacy are helpful and friendly. But the cashiers up front - oh god. Never have I seen such odd people. The girl with the pink hair and the piercings all over her face looked half out of it when I went to checkout last week, and mumbled "welcome to walgreens" under her breath as if it would've killed her to say it. I really do recommend CVS over walgreens any day, friendlier staff and they at least have a self checkout. Please reconsider the people you hire, Walgreens. read more

I think the pharmacy here is great. It can be a little slow but that's only because the staff is very helpful and patient. They take the time to answer any of your questions and were very helpful when I had a mixup with my insurance. The rest of the store is nice too. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with a pharmacy employee named Jill. She is a very large and intimidating person. A typical bully. She yelled at me in front of everyone waiting in line and all persons seated and waiting. Accosting me and accusing me of doing something I did not do. She was threatening and abusive. A very sour personality and unprofessional. It was very disappointing because all of my experiences at this pharmacy have been excellent, in fact exceeding excellence. I will never allow her to wait on me again. Thankfully another employee witnessed her bad behavior and followed me outside to apologize on the stores behalf. He took my information and the manager called me and was very apolgetic. I broke my neck and I was in severe pain, not expecting to be treated like that. There is no excuse for her abuse. Here a case of one bad apple spoiling the whole bunch. Corporate should expect more complaints if she continues to work there. Very bad for business to have such a mean spirited and unfriendly employee servicing people who are sick or in pain. read more
