We had a garden suite, on the 5th floor. The *tub*, friends. The tub is legendary. We had heard this previously -- and more of less came for the tub. We fit both spousie (6'2) and me (5'2) in it. No small feat, friends. No small feat. Staff were friendly and accommodating. When we arrived to our room it was beautifully prepared with chocolates, bath bombs and champagne to celebrate our special day. Along with a card signed by all the staff. Do you want a cozy-robe-by-the-fire-weekend with your sweetie? Because this is the ideal place for that! Having a fire in the fireplace with the flick of a switch simply did not get old. The staff rushed to cover their mistake and left the woman on the floor in pain. I have been hugely disappointed in my stay. I stayed here 6 years ago and had a good experience, so we decided to book our family of 10 here during a family vacation. Upon arriving for check in, the hotel staff would not allow my husband (with whom I share a last name) to check in without me presenting an ID. However, when we got locked out of our room three different times due to a deactivated room key, NO identification from either party was requested to give out a new room key, causing a major safety rush. The parking garage was tiny, and it took about 30 minutes to check in and get to our room because of the painfully slow elevators. Our key stopped working the first day, so we had to walk down and back up the stairs to get our key fixed at 10pm (again, no identification required to get a new room key). This morning, there is no coffee in the lobby as apparently the machine is broken. To top it off, the hotel did not honor the discount it quoted us at booking, which we have emails and will be supporting with the credit card company. Hugely overpriced, and we will not be back again.

I would like to file a complaint about one of your breakfast attendants in the Orchard Room on July 3 at approximately 8:45 a.m. My experience was extremely uncomfortable and unlike anything I have ever experienced at a hotel. In fact I don't think I ever experienced in my life and I been to many hotels! I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast ended because I wanted to grab a croissant and a coffee to go. I was the only guest in the breakfast area at the time. From the second I walked in, the breakfast attendant was staring directly at me. Then she literally started FOLLOWING ME around and COMPLAINING on everything I was doing. Like she was coming up to me and literally RIGHT NEXT TO ME and staring at what I was getting and then glaring at my face. WTF. Like for example, when i was getting the croissant, she was angry I was using a napkin to carry the croissant instead of my hand...I literally paid $170 for the night and I can't use a napkin to carry my croissant?? I never had someone do that at a hotel before, it was inappropriate and super unprofessional. She had an angry and crazed bizarre look on her face, just angrily glaring at me and literally following me around the small room. It was SUPER unsettling and unhinged behavior, I was the only one in the room and that made it more uncomfortable. None of the other staff members I interacted with during my stay behaved this way. Every other employee was friendly, welcoming, and professional. While I was getting coffee, she came up to me and asked why I was using two coffee cups. I had simply placed one cup over the other because the coffee was very hot and I wanted to make it easier to carry. Being questioned over something so minor, especially after being stared at and followed around the room, felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate. At that point, I decided to leave the breakfast area because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. As I was walking out, she sarcastically called out, "Thank you for coming," which felt mocking given how she had treated me. Then she started following me around again after I didn't want to talk to her because I was so creeped out!!! For identification purposes, she appeared to be an older thin woman with pale skin, glasses, and faint reddish eyebrows. I have never had a hotel employee stare at me, follow me around a breakfast area, and then question me over using two coffee cups. It made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out. I hope management reviews this incident and reminds staff that guests should be able to enjoy breakfast without feeling like they are being monitored or intimidated. Also since she was literally following me and harassing me, I asked her for her name and she refused to tell me which implies she probably knew what she was doing was inappropriate and didn't want to get found out

My room had a round, lounging chair and fuzzy rug. Loved it! Plenty of outlets. Great lighting (nothing harsh at all). Plus there are earplugs, though my stay was quiet and I didn't need them. Off to a great start! But I noticed that there were two elevators, with only one in operation. The other one was out of service during my entire 8 night stay. Not a big deal to me except there was one day where the lone functional elevator was also out of service. And it was right at 4pm, when other guests were ready to check in. I was returning from an afternoon baseball game at that time and wondered why there were so many people with their luggage waiting in the lobby. Then, a hotel employee asked me if I needed to go upstairs; I said yes, and he unlocked a side staircase. My room was on the 6th floor, and I was winded by the time I got to my room. I can't imagine anyone with luggage climbing a narrow staircase to floors above mine. Now I know why they were all in the lobby. Another big red flag to me was the AC/heating system in my room. No matter what I did to the thermostat, it stayed at the same temperature. Luckily, the windows do open and I had a corner room; so I had cross winds for cooling. The bed was ok, but I absolutely hated the pillows. Too flat if only using one; too high if using two. I folded one pillow and that was somehow better for my neck than using two. The bathroom was clean. My room overall was very clean too. Housekeeping was done every other day, which I prefer to a daily thing. But the one thing I noticed about housekeeping: they actually change the bedsheets! Many other hotels do not, but at Paramount, they do! I appreciated that. My room was fairly soundproof too. The only noises I heard were from people walking past my front door, or the usual city stuff (sirens, loud cars, the odd screaming drunkard at 2am). There were 2-3 homeless people who stayed right in front of the hotel, but honestly, they kept to themselves and didn't even ask for change directly to passersby. They actually looked more scared of me than me of them. And they didn't stay there the entire time. They moved onto somewhere else after I returned from another outing. The positives of the Paramount outweigh the two biggest red flags in the broken elevator (working one was also extremely slow), and non-functional thermostat. The location was great, just a few blocks away from the Westlake light rail station and there are a ton of buses nearby too. Every tourist attraction is also a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I'll strongly consider the Paramount on my return to Seattle!

Neither were provided during my most recent visit. Front desk and staff are both top notch and the location really can't be beat. They're about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place Market, 5 minutes to Nordstrom (literally the nicest department store I've ever seen) and an even shorter walk to my son's Seattle apartment which is why I'm there so often. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have mentioned, only one elevator works which has been the case for at least the past year & 1/2 which is how long I've been staying there. According to the front desk staff, they had it fixed but some rowdy hotel guests broke it again. Sorry, but this is totally inexcusable. Waits for the elevator can be excruciating, especially during peak hours when it's shared with laundry carts and maintenance crews. Cafe, like many in city hotels is wildly overpriced and just meh. Never tried the Asian place but I heard it's quite good. All in all, the Paramount is a solid choice that I will continue to choose. Just wish they would improve on the points I made and earn themselves another star or two.

Being able to use the Watertown Hotel's fitness center during my recent stay was also an extra perk. From Isela, who helped us understand our security deposit, and the team at the front desk who assisted me with the pool and recommended the nearby taco truck along with maintenance were very helpful and cool. Housekeeping was also outstanding. The room's Coulée Coffee pour overs were pretty amazing, too. Looking forward to planning a family trip to Seattle and Staying Pineapple again.

I spent one week at the College Inn (No ac, a bathroom was a premium upgrade and no ice maker). I wish I would have found StayPinapple first! The staff was incredible. Kind, helpful, attentive. The room was comfortable! The pool was used daily as it was very warm in Seattle. The amenities were fantastic. And the walk to my kid's class was 5-6 mins. They have a ln open area in the lobby if you like to hang out with board games, my kids loved. Walking distance to so much good food! I highly recommend this place to anyone needling a place to stay in the UW district or even Seattle area in general.
