Outstanding service and cool 70's vibe. The happy hour is all night and the offerings are excellent! Music is offered too in the bar. It's a wonderful place.

Fantastic food,,, we had the chili and Seabass, the rack of lamb crabcakes, French onion soup, and the mushroom soup and then gnocchi. It was all absolutely amazing, but the soufflé iat the end really made the dinner special and was one of the best desserts i have ever had

We had a wonderful dinner here on Christmas Day. Service was impeccable and we were well taken care of. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the chocolate lava cake was ooey gooey delicious. A wonderful option for dinner.

Hosted my bridal shower here this past weekend and it was a 10/10 experience! All of our guests were raving about how amazing the food and service was. My phone is still blowing up about how great of a time everyone had here. So delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. If you're looking to rent out a private space and create an outstanding experience, this is the place to go! We also love coming to dinner here and the live music is spectacular!

After years of driving past Wally's Desert Turtle my husband and I decided it was time to give it a try. We are so happy we did! The ambiance is exactly what we were hoping for (old Hollywood) Loved the slow pace dining, staff's attentiveness, the classic decor and I can't forget to mention the great saxophone player. Our drinks, dinner and desserts were delicious and were excited to add Wally's to our favorite "special occasion" restaurant for when we're in Palm Desert.

We ordered a bunch of various starters and sides. The beef tartare was good and the oyster were the medium sized pacific coast oysters- were ok - not raving about it. The Wagyu steak were cooked to perfection. The sides were meehhh... the truffle fries was soggy and no truffles on it - just truffle oil. The mushrooms were plain Jane - just regular button mushrooms. The broccolini was just grilled wit salt and pepper. Our waitress was nice - but definitely needs to be oriented a bit more. She's very shy. Valet parking only at the hotel lobby.

However, he never removed the third and fourth place setting at our table of two, and when he dropped off our plates, he said if you don't have a fork, use one of those. . He didn't charge us for the meal that was delivered in error because my husband ate it as he did not suggest bringing the right thing. We find ourselves coming back time and time again because everything is consistently exceptional. The food, the atmosphere, and the service. The menu truly offers something for everyone, and one item we never skip is the seafood tower. It's beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. Whether you choose to dine at the bar or in the main dining room, you can expect the same attentive, top-tier service. While the atmosphere differs between the two, each offers its own unique and equally enjoyable experience. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation, as it can be difficult to get a table during peak hours. For larger gatherings, the private wine room provides an elegant setting, and their curated private dining menus create a personalized experience that makes any celebration even more memorable. From perfectly prepared steaks to outstanding hospitality, The Steakhouse continues to exceed our expectations. It's easily one of our favorite special occasion restaurants, and we look forward to every visit.

EVERYTHING! We were early so stopped at a bar and Dave got a Makers Mark w/Ginger ale. Loved it and the price! Played a bit of poker (machine) and then it was time for the Steakhouse. We were greeted by the sweetest young lady (and I'm mad because I can't remember her name). She was there throughout the evening and was delightful. She filled our water glasses and brought a giant basket of assorted bread. I had to try them all and each bread sample was a new experience. The butter-2 kinds-soft and tasty. Then we got our drinks. Dave got a bourbon blackberry smash. Loved it. I got a pineapple lemon drop. Loved it and the pineapple garnish was an experience all its own. Dave's surf and turf was fillet and lobster tail. Both cooked perfectly. He hardly even needed a knife to cut the fillet AND the lobster was perfect on its own but when he dipped it into the melted butter it was even more satisfying. I'm vegetarian and was pleased with the number of options for me. I opted for the bucatini and it was so great. I only ate half of it since I knew I really only wanted the carrot cake. Andrew, our server, brought Dave a birthday cheesecake and it was very nice. But he had to try the key lime pie and it was perfect and sour (in the best way). The meringue was sky high and perfectly torched. The crust?? The best. If you want the carrot cake, you need to let them know ahead of time since it takes about 15 minutes. Was it worth the wait? YES IT WAS. It's hot out of the oven in a tiny skillet, topped with the creamiest ice cream. I'm a baker and super picky about baked goods and the folks at The Steakhouse know what they're doing. Everything about our experience here was the kind that makes you want to return. This is the perfect Special Occasion venue. Pricey yes. Worth it? Also yes.

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.
