Wally's Pizza is the place to go in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/El Dorado Hills. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. The pizza is all that you want. I had the gluten free pizza, which has to be one of the best crusts around. Usually pizza places give you the frozen crust but not Wally's. They have a pizza crust that I want to eat, not that I have to eat (but yea I do have to eat gluten free, not a preference). Their regular pizza my husband eats, pepperoni, Canadian bacon and basil. Looks yummy. Both pizzas have gooey yummy cheese. So so good. The pear and walnut salad was a great starter. Our server, Liam, was peppy, friendly, and made sure all our wants were met. Been kinda disappointed the last couple of times I've been in Wally's. The service is always great, no problem there... But the pizza toppings have gotten skimpier and skimpier. My friends have all noticed the same and also are complaining about this. If Wally's is gonna charge the high prices they charge for pizza, it better be loaded with quality toppings. The portions have gotten so small that we've actually started going to Pizza Factory instead. Hopefully Wally's fixes the issue and goes back to being awesome. But until I start hearing that they've stopped being tightwads with the toppings, my family and friends will be going elsewhere. read more

We have always loved Wally's pizza, HOWEVER, last night we were running late and needed to eat in a hurry to make a meeting. We called ahead on our cell phone to place our order so it would be ready for us when we arrived to dine inside. We were told we could NOT eat the pizza inside - we would have to either have it delivered or pick it up and eat it elsewhere. I asked if that meant we had to eat it in our car? And she responded "I guess so, or someplace else - you cannot order the pizza ahead of time and eat it in the restaurant. You will have to wait until you get here to order." Had lunch at Wally's today on our way back from Apple Hill. My brother-in-law had the individual pepperoni pizza. My husband had the pear and walnut salad and I had the green goddess sandwich with a pear and walnut salad side. Everything was great. My brother-in-law enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. The individual size was even large enough for him to have leftovers. My husband said he would get the pear and walnut salad again, but I really think he liked the candied walnuts the most on the salad. I looked over at his salad bowl towards the end of our meal and he had a bunch of lettuce left in his bowl but no more pears and walnuts. I loved my lunch! The green goddess sandwich was sooooo good! And because I had the pear and walnut side salad, I had half of the sandwich left to take home for dinner. I thought the pear and walnut salad was delicious. While I agree that the candied walnuts were excellent, I just really liked all of the flavors put together in this salad. The lettuce was fresh, the pears were juicy, the cheese (I asked for feta instead of Gorgonzola) added a touch of saltiness, the dressing was light and of course the candied walnuts added a bit of crunch. We were seated right away. The service was quick. I love the canning jars they use as glasses for ice tea. And the place was comfortable. I would go back tomorrow for the same thing if I lived closer...thus my five star rating. read more

I've since been forced to go here a couple times with friends, and believe the service was better. And I will add that it appears as though the Greek salad is the only premixed salad. The one adjustment I'd really like to make is that I definitely would no longer recommend going to Moonracker instead! Wally's is much better than moonracker. We had the best time at Wally's, watching football. We were bummed at first because we didn't find a bar seat, however, we were need up able to sit outside and watch the game, full volume. Not what I remembered. Walked up, multiple seats open at bar. Bar dishware needed to be bussed so badly. Manager cut one bartender in front of me as what seemed to be the main bartender simply ignored me and one other patron.i waited exactly 23 minutes before I was asked if I wanted a drink or food. I ordered. They forgot to pour my beer. Finally my burnt, crispy mid level pizza came out. Crazy because the billboard off the freeway says "voted best pizza." By who? Keep driving to hazel exit and you can get a better semi burnt pizza from a vending machine at old spaghetti.... I had to walk to manager to ask for necessary items (napkins, utensils, etc). Witnessed the bar staff do ANYTHING but take orders and clean (phone use, gossip, flirt). It sucks because this is literally the ONLY place that has the game on with a bar. I wish round table pizza still had their taphouse. I barely got to order two drinks over the course of an entire football game. So if the restaurant only cares about the bottom line, not the service or the cleanliness... they are still losing because we would have ordered several more items. When I finally got the attention (mind you, the only reason I was served was because I ASKED to be served) the bartender (Chris?) acted like I pissed in his cereal. I get it, I'm not the hot girl he was extra attentive to but I am a customer just the same. My advice: Pizza only: pizza norcia up the road a bit or round table. Pizza+beer: pizza factory Beer only: Crafthouse culture. I'm really bummed because you would think this place would care like they used to. Owner, check your labor... if your bottom line is important, then 4-5 people on their phones or doing absolutely anything but working, you can save and have the only 4 people I saw working make you the money.
