Me being able to see a woman install a battery which I know is not a big deal but for me it is because I'm use to always seeing Men care to this type of service. This is the second time this week. I've actually gone to a place and had assistance from a woman when I typically think that this job growing up it's a guy job. As I continue to grow up as a older adult, I realize that we are such powerful woman. I appreciate the two ladies that helped me out today and getting my car back up and running. Being able to be knowledgeable of how to navigate and use our resources is very key and should never be restricted to gender setting. I felt not only happy to write this review about the ladies who helped me today, but I want to encourage us as women that we should never continue to limit what we know is accessible to us as women. We don't have to live in the stereotype that I have grown up in where men have a certain job and women have a certain job. We can continue to transition and grow as we thrive through this changing world . My sales feller was Todd. He rang me up. I got my vet discount on my items I swiped my card, I was declined. We attempted a few time and moved to another register same problem. I called the number on the back. I found out I was blocked. After 10 minutes. My card was unblocked and I got oil. I asked Todd for assistance in pouring the oil in the vehicle. We had the jumper cables and a nice man helped my wife start the car. After picking me up, we went straight to the Advance Auto Parts nearest to our house, where we had been before. After looking at the battery, Linda (a store employee) saw the battery was an older model that used to be sold by the chain. Unfortunately, it was so old the warranty had long expired. Linda sold us a new battery, advised us to sit in the store where it was cooler (mid-80's outside), and took care of removing the old battery and installing the new one. She also advised us to drive around to reset some of the electronics, which we did. Highly recommend Linda with Advance Auto Parts!

They are always well stocked and have about anything you need for your automobile, from actual parts to cleaning solutions. Their prices include installation of basic parts like windshield wipers and batteries. I am always greeted by the friendly staff when I arrive. Sometimes the checkout process is a little confusing. There is one main register that is rarely manned. Then there are a couple of computers down the counter where the employees look up available car parts. Customers can also pay for those parts there at those computers. If you only buy something from the salesfloor, and the 2 or 3 employees are helping customers needing parts, there is nowhere to pay. You don't know if you should go stand at the main register and wait or get behind one of the parts customers and wait. It doesn't happen often, but it does when they're really busy. The prices are in line with other parts houses, and they also collect used motor oil without charge. So if you, like I, change your own oil, you can take the used oil there for disposal.

I am old school, so getting the old school treatment in a modern-day automotive shop was refreshing! Here is what I mean: 1 - AJ greeted & guided me into the appropriate bay. 2 - He explained that I could stay in my car where I might be more comfortable or wait in their waiting room (I chose to wait in their waiting room). 3 - He asked for the previous sticker. When he noticed the residue on my windshield from a past oil change sticker (not theirs), he offered to clean that right up for me! When I got my vehicle back, the residue was gone. 4 - He came to the waiting room to inform me of what my cost would be for my requested services. 5 - Mid-way through the oil change, he let me know which of my fluids were good-to-go & the ones that he topped off. 6 - He showed me my air filter, & we discussed when I would likely need to replace it (a replacement air filter was not needed). No guilt or pressure tactics, just helpful information. 7 - When the oil change was completed, he drove it to the other side where they do the tire rotations & came to let me know that my vehicle had moved to the next phase. The guy that completed my tire rotation & took the payment was extremely courteous & very personable as well. He took the time to put a smile on my face when I knew that he had to be hot as hell at 3pm in the afternoon! I wish that I had asked for his name, but not having his name doesn't diminish his part in why I am giving these guys a 5-star rating. Great job all around! TOP NOTCH experience.
