They first did a thorough inventory of the state of play with these vehicles and sent me a detailed list of problems that need to be dealt with, if not immediately, then at some time in the near future with some priority comments and projected costs, allowing me to pick and choose. I thought it was superior procedure compared to other shops I have used. The chosen work was done in a timely way, perhaps because they have made a specialty of dealing with older cars like mine and had most of the parts available. The cost of the work seemed reasonable to me, and so far the repairs done seem to have a good effect. People are pleasant and provide a ride to and from the shop to those who need it. TL;DR Big O Tires Inexperienced mechanic falsely diagnosed…read moreissue requesting replacement of all 4 tires. Went to Discount tire who accurately found the issue and fixed for free. I first went to Big O Tires in Lakewood with one tire that was low, my sensor showed it to be front left. When examined by the tech, he appeared to take the tire pressure, then noticed a "nail" and attempted to see if air was leaking. The nail looked like just a piece of gravel. He was not confident with his diagnosis and thought my rim could've been cracked too but not sure. Said I needed to replace all four tires. I knew something wasn't right so I took my car to Discount Tire. Turns out the back left tire was the culprit, had a nail in it and my sensors for my left front/rear tires were swapped. They took me immediately, patched up the hole from the nail, and checked my other tires. All at no cost! I'd recommend the Discount tire in Arvada off of Wadsworth.

I barely put 5,000 miles on my car per year as I work from home full time. My husband does tire rotations for me so we never had the need to bring my car back to Discount Tires. However, we noticed there was a staple in a tire as my pressure light was on. My husband brings my car in today and they refused to honor the warranty that we had purchased because there were no tire rotations on file and claimed our thread wear was too close to the limit. They refused to help us with the staple unless we purchased new tires. My husband who knows cars very well can tell the tires do not need to be replaced. If we had known that tire rotations were required to be at Discount Tires and had to be on file, we would have come in every few months for a rotation. However, that was NEVER disclosed to us when we had purchased the warranty. Mind you, my husband also used to work at Discount Tires years ago and he has never heard of tire rotations being required for them to honor warranty certificates. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Josh helped me figure out proration cost to replace and told me to come in next morning at 7:50am. Went back next morning and talked to Jake. He said he can't find receipt. Mine was in my car and faded so I had nothing. I called CJ the manager and he could not find anything and said he could do nothing. I had gotten 1 set of continentals and 2 sets of Michelins from Discount tire but nothing showed up. This company used to be great but are now Greedy Morons. I went to Costco who does mounting and balancing for free and also gives a 5 year Road Hazard warranty for free. So in the end I saved $250 by going to Costco. I now tell all my customers to go to Costco and skip ripoff Discount Tire. Al
